Graveworm Finishes Recording Drums For New Album

Blackened death metal band Graveworm has issued the following update about the recording of their upcoming album:

"We have just finished recording the drums for the new CD! Everything went really well and we are very satisfied with the result!

"We will start to record the guitars on Monday... and so, piece by piece, we are getting forwards. You can see some new pictures of the RECORDING SESSION 2009 here."

Graveworm Reveal 'Collateral Defect' Artwork

Italian/German gothic black metal band GRAVEWORM will release its sixth album, "Collateral Defect", in Europe on May 25 via Massacre Records (June 5 in North America through Nuclear Blast). The CD was recorded at Stage One studios in Borgentreich, Germany with producer Andy Classen (DEW-SCENTED, CALLENISH CIRCLE, TANKARD, OCCULT). The follow-up to 2005's "(N)utopia" contains 10 songs and features guest appearances by Maurizio Iacono from KATAKLYSM and Matze from THE SORROW. Check out the cover artwork at this location. Graveworm To Issue New Album Via Massacre Records

Gothic black metallers GRAVEWORM have issued the following update:

"The new album will be released in Europe on Massacre Records. The album was produced at the Stage One studio with Andy Classen (DISBELIEF, DEW-SCENTED). The new masterpiece will be released as limited edition digipack."

Massacre Records has set May 25th as the release date for the above mentioned album, entitled Collateral Defect. The album will feature the following tracklisting: 'Reflections', 'Bloodwork', 'Touch Of Hate', 'Suicide Code', 'The Day I Die', 'Fragile Side', 'I Need A Hero' 'Out Of Clouds', 'Scars Of Sorrow', 'Memories'.

Vreid Confirmed For Slovenia's Metalcamp Festival

VREID, the Norwegian band formed by former WINDIR members Hváll (bass), Steingrim (drums) and Sture (vocals, guitar), has been confirmed for the Metalcamp 2007 festival, set to take place July 16-21, 2007 in Tolmin, Slovenia. Graveworm To Play Benefit Show

Italian gothic black metal band GRAVEWORM will take part in the fund-raising event “METAL FOR FAIRNESS” Festival set to take place Saturday, May 5th at the PLanet Music in Vienna (Austria). The earned profit will be donated to the ‘Amna Grenda Girl school in the region of Kosti / Sudan (Africa) and should help the children to renovate, improve the sanitary equipment and to finance serious teaching aids. GRAVEWORM will be co-headlining the event next to German BRAINSTORM. Be there and support this fantastic idea!

Vader To Be Joined By Nightrage, Bloodthorn

According to a posting on VADER's official web site, NIGHTRAGE and BLOODTHORN have been confirmed as the support acts for the Scandinavian leg (Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland) of VADER's Blitzkrieg 4 tour, which is scheduled to kick off on November 11 and run through November 25. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon.

Candlelight Records recently released VADER's new EP, "The Art of War". This special mini-album contains six brand new songs ("Para Bellum!!!", "This Is The War", "Lead Us!!!", "Banners On The Wind", "What Colour Is Your Blood?", "Death In Silence") and was recorded at Hertz Studio in Bialystok, Poland, with the Wieslawscy brothers at the helm. The MCD also features the band's new video clip (created by Arek Jurcan in 3D systems, well known from computer games) for the track "This Is The War".

Graveworm Added To Metal Crusaders Tour

Italian gothic black metal band GRAVEWORM have been added to the "Metal Crusaders" North American tour, set to take place in May/June next year. Also appearing on the bill will be KATAKLYSM, VADER, NUCLEAR ASSAULT, SPEED\KILL/HATE and THE ABSENCE. The first confirmed date is May 26, 2006 at le Medley in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. All Canadian dates will be headlined by KATAKLYSM.

GRAVEWORM's latest CD, "(N)utopia", was released earlier in the year via Nuclear Blast Records.

Kataklysm To Enter The Studio

Canadian death metallers Kataklysm will enter the studio on July 10 to begin recording their new album, "In the Arms of Devastation," tentatively due before the end of the year.

"The writing of the album is almost complete and things are going very well. Don't expect any fashion core, no 'roman' haircuts or whining," the band write in a newsletter. "Expect a crowbar to the head. Kataklysm enters the compound July 10th, and a monster will rise from it...we promise."

As previously reported, Kataklysm are inviting their fans, artists and friends around the world to design the cover art for their next album. The band encourages everyone that has artistic skill and has an original vision to submit their work by e-mail at smdesign@videotron.ca. The winning artwork will be selected by Kataklysm and the band's representatives at Nuclear Blast Records. The lucky contest winner will see his/her creation used as the cover of the group's next album as well as on all accompanying merchandise items, where it will be fully credited. All you have to work with is the album's working title, which is "In the Arms of Devastation." The deadline for all submissions is August 1.

Canadian death metallers Kataklysm are inviting their fans, artists and friends around the world to design the cover art for their next album. The band encourages everyone that has artistic skill and has an original vision to submit their work by e-mail at smdesign@videotron.ca.
The winning artwork will be selected by Kataklysm and the band's representatives at Nuclear Blast. The lucky contest winner will see his/her creation used as the cover of the group's next album as well as on all accompanying merchandise items, where it will be fully credited.

All you have to work with is the album's working title, which is "In the Arms of Devastation." The artwork can be submitted starting April 6 and the deadline for all submissions is August 1.

Kataklysm Wins Canadian Music Award, Tour Update

Kataklysm has won "Best metal group" at the Canadian Indie Music Awards. The band wishes to thank all the fans who voted for them.

Kataklysm will not be able to attend the event in Toronto at the Phoenix Theater to receive the award, as the band is currently on tour with Danzig.

Singer Maurizio Iacono offers the following tour update:

We are presently half way done with the tour and its been absolutly great. We didnt know what to expect coming into this tour as an extreme act, but so far i can truly say its the most important tour we've done in the states and its been packed every night. Response has been amazing with violent pits every night, we've been treated with nothing but respect by Danzig and there crew were having loads of fun and exposing Death Metal to a new audience and making lots of new fans. Cool to be part of the Danzig /Doyle 30 min Misfits reunion shows in Boston/NYC and Philly it was historic and the Crown went apeshit. We hope things keep going like they are and we will see you all soon ..

New Atrocity & Leaves' Eyes Drummer

The new drummer of ATROCITY and LEAVES' EYES is Moritz Neuner (a.o. Graveworm, Darkwell, Abigor). The production of the new LEAVES' EYES record has just started and the first drumtakes are already done. Also ATROCITY work on songs for a new album.

On related news, Atrocity's frontman Alex Krull is currently working on a remix for the CRADLE OF FILTH's song "Nymphetamine" ( featuring guest vocalist LIV KRISTINE), which is one of the nominees in the Best Metal Performance category for the GRAMMY Award 2005.
