It Dies Today has officially dropped off their previously announced tour with Bury Your Dead and The Ghost Inside.
Singer Jason Wood explains: "Mike [Hatalak, drummer] has 4 herniated discs in his back and some slight nerve damage, and won't be able to tour for a bit (we will however be finishing the Walls Of Jericho dates)... Sorry, and we'll see you soon."
The Desert Destruction Fest will take place on July 5th at Kinari in Victorville, CA. Tickets are $17 at the door and doors open at 11:30am. The following bands are scheduled to perform:
Bury Your Dead
As Blood Runs Black
Blood Stands Still

More bands are to be announced.
Endwell has been kicked off of The Mosh Lives Tour that Emmure is headlining. Here's and update from the band:
"First off, we want to apologize to everyone who was planning on coming out and seeing us on the MOSH LIVES tour but unfortunately as of yesterday (Tuesday May 27th) we have been kicked off of the tour because of a T-Shirt....yep that's right. Apparently some people can't take a joke. We were stoked for this tour and looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and playing some fun shows. Without getting into all the details well leave it at this; some of our good friends receive an email from a certain Tyrant telling them that if we weren't removed from the tour immediately that they would have hell to pay and the outcome was us being asked to leave the tour. We basically drove 30 hours straight to meet up with the tour in Texas and now 2 days later were driving 20 hours back home, it was a good waste of a few hundred dollars in gas.
"Needless to say we're beyond bummed....either way you guys should still go out and support the Mosh Lives tour. There are some great bands and its a great show everynight. We want to thank Recon, After The Burial, Ligeia, Emmure and On Broken Wings for being cool dudes and hopefully we'll get back out there with a few of you again at some point.
"All in all this is just another bump in the road and were not gonna let it slow us down. Our new EP (Revenge Is A Healthy Motive) came out today on Itunes and through our online store, were heading up to Canada in 2 weeks with our pals in MEANS and OCEANS and then right after that we head out on a FULL US tour with Stray From The Path and The Ghost Inside starting in Cali in July. Can't hold us down.....if any hardcore bands are reading this and wanna go on tour hit us up!!! We're gonna be doin our full length at the end of the summer and we're not looking to be home..EVER!"
You can see the shirt design (which appears to be taking a jab at Victory Records, who recenlty dropped the band) in question that got the band kicked off the tour on their Blogspot page.
Victory owner Tony Brummel previously commented on the band's release:
"There is no drama here. Bands and labels go in opposite directions all of the time. Endwell and I are totally cool and they knew about this last week. They are young guys and understandably a bit shocked still and emotional. They know that I will help them in any way that I can in the future. Who knows, we might even end up working together again."
Sacramento, California's EMBRACE THE END have returned with their sophomore album, "Ley Lines", which was produced by Zach Ohren (AS BLOOD RUNS BLACK, ARSONISTS GET ALL THE GIRLS) with artwork courtesy of Paul Romano (MASTODON, TRIVIUM). Once
"Ley Lines" is set for an April 15 release and the entire album can now be streamed at the band's new e-card.
With a sound inspired by both metal and hardcore alike, EMBRACE THE END proves to be uncompromising in aggression and unmatched in their sound. Using a deft fusion of scathing blast beats amid a torrent of seismic breakdowns their musicianship is supreme and devastating.
The group will join up with HEAVEN SHALL BURN and THE GHOST INSIDE for a nationwide trek this month, which will lead them immediately into a run with ANIMOSITY, FIRST BLOOD and FOR THE FALLEN DREAMS. More...

Ferret Music's Californian based death-core outfit ELYSIA has announced that they will be co-headlining a March/April tour with THE WARRIORS, with support from THE GHOST INSIDE and STRAY FROM THE PATH.
A tour with The Warriors is fitting given the origin of Elysia’s name, which in Roman mythology means the final resting place for soldiers.
The band is ready to get on the road, especially on this tour, tells vocals Zak Vargas, “We have heard from a ton of bands and friends that they think we’d all be really compatible. We really like The Warriors and Stray From the Path, and have toured with The Ghost Inside before and had a great time.” More...

Los Angeles hardcore/metal outfit A Dying Dream has officially changed their name to The Ghost Inside. Vocalist Jonathan Vigil comments:
"Well, it's been a good 3 years for A Dying Dream, but we feel as a band, we've accomplished about as much as humanly possible from being a band called 'A Dying Dream.'
Three full U.S. tours, a handful of other tours, random fests, 2 EPs, and playing both Earth Crisis reunion shows is a lot to say from a band with a name that we never thought would make it out of our drummer's garage.
In addition to the new name, and some new members, we are currently hard at work on a new full-length CD that will redefine us as a band. It's been a very long time since we've had new music, and we just want to ensure that this will be a CD that will show our potential as a band, and prove to everyone how hard working we really are. It's slated for a late-fall release on Mediaskare Records and is tentatively titled 'Fury and The Fallen Ones.'
Lastly, I and everyone in The Ghost Inside would like to thank everyone that has been with us since the beginning and who has supported us unconditionally. Also, to everyone that listened to us, or saw us with an open mind and gave us that chance to win them over, hopefully we have. Expect to see much more of us in the future."
