Californian metal band Dark Haven has decided to call it quits. The band issues the following message to their fans regarding their decision:
"As some of you know we lost our singer about a month or so ago. We've been jamming with a new guy, and we were trying to make a smooth transition but we have now been put in the position of having to replace another member in the band. We just released a full length album, and after a few years seem to finally be back on track since losing other original members, just to be put back in the same place. After 6 years of hard work and dedication, the thought of 'starting over' again is depressing and discouraging."
"There have been many great memories and awesome moments with Dark Haven, and it is time to look into different music endeavors. Thank you to every friend, family member, and fan who was bought a cd or been to a show, it's been a hell of a ride and you made it all worth it. Apologies to anyone who is upset by this news, trust me when I say I am equally or more upset about the situation."
California melodic death metal band Dark Haven has issued the following studio update:
"So I am going into the studio here in about 30 minutes. Just got a new mix for a song off our upcoming album called 'Shades of Ivory,' and wow, this thing is fucking screaming now.
We're going to work on getting the rest of the songs up to par today and tomorrow, and do some last minute vocal and guitar tracking next week to change a few things. Other than that, we are getting extremely close to a finished, BRUTAL, product! So we hope you are all as excited as we are for 'Fallout,' it's been a long time coming people, and it will soon become a reality."
California melodic death metal band Dark Haven has issued the following update:
"We hope you had a safe new year's eve, we had a BLAST!"
"Although 2009 was a tough year for Dark Haven, we ended on a high note, playing some great shows in the second half of the year. We played with Bury Your Dead and Zao, both shows taking place at the Vault in our home town of Temecula. We also played with Cage at a great venue in Ramona called the Romona Mainstage. We also finished tracking for our full length album Fallout, and finished most of the mixing. We are stronger and healthier then ever as a band, having found permanent members to replace Kent and Amy (there identities will be disclosed soon!). Check out a show soon, trust me you will be blown away by our new line up!" More...
Brennan Kilpatrick, guitarist of California based melodic death metal band Dark Haven, has issued the following update regarding the progress of their upcoming full length album, "Fallout:"
"It's about that time again. I am sitting down next to our producer right now typing this out as he works on editing/mixing. We had a dry spell between sessions, as Pappas moved his studio location, but we are now working on the album right in our hometown which is great! We are about halfway through the editing process, and things just keep sounding better and better. We also have someone working on the artwork as we speak, and are planning for a release of the cd in mid-late October. We originally planned on it sooner, but realistically that is where we are sitting right now."
