Iowa's On A Pale Horse have decided to call it quits. Their vocalist, Aaron Peltz, provides the following explaination:

ON A PALE HORSE, the Des Moines, Iowa-based band featuring guitarist Josh Brainard (ex-SLIPKNOT) and vocalist Aaron Peltz (ex-DOWNTHESUN), is currently streaming a new song, "Release the Smoke", on the group's MySpace page. The track comes off the band's new album, "A Generation of Vipers", due on March 4 via Corporate Punishment Records.
Commented vocalist Aaron Peltz: "This tune was initially written for the last record and fortunately the way we had it then didn't make the final cut. When we started writing for the new album we came back to this song and retooled it a bit and BAM, it turned out to be my favorite song that we have ever done. Des Moines, Iowa’s ON A PALE HORSE, featuring guitarist Josh Brainard (ex-Slipknot) and vocalist Aaron Peltz (ex-down.the.sun), are currently streaming the new song ‘A Generation of Vipers’ on the group’s MySpace page.
“We are previewing a song off the new record every week up until the release on our MySpace,” says vocalist Aaron Peltz. “The first track up for preview that hasn’t been heard yet is the title track of our album.”
ON A PALE HORSE has set March 4 as the release date for their upcoming new album A Generation of Vipers. The album was produced by Warren Riker (Down, Crowbar) and executive-produced by SLIPKNOT’s Paul Gray.
Corporate Punishment has announced the signing of Des Moines, Iowa's premier merchants of Doom and Gloom, On A Pale Horse, featuring ex-Slipknot guitarist and ex-DownTheSun vocalist Josh Brainard.
Look for their national debut, "A Generation of Vipers," Produced by Warren Riker (Crowbar, DOWN, Cathedral), and Executive Produced by Slipknot's Paul Gray, in stores August 7th. For now you can download the track "Sound the Alarm" from Corporate Punishment's Myspace.
