After recently announcing a new lineup, British melodic death metal act The Soulless (formerly Ignominious Incarceration) is preparing for the release of the new album "Isolated" which hits stores in Europe on May 16th and North America on June 7th. The cover artwork can be viewed below, and vocalist Andy Wardle also commented:
"We chose Ryohei Hase for our artwork. He did the art for Ignominious Incarceration's album and although we wanted something quite different, we know he does an awesome job. The guy on the front is supposed to be hung up as an outcast from society. He is isolated which ties in with the album title and lyrical themes within. We are really happy with the bleak colours and the overall look."
The album's track listing is as follows:
2. The Path
4. 13th Morning
5. New Perspective
8. Our Return
9. Unite Us
10. You Are Nothing To Me

British melodic death metallers The Soulless, who are due to release their new album "Isolated" on May 16th, have added two new members to the group's line-up.
Formerly known as Ignominious Incarceration, vocalist Andy Wardle, guitarist Steve Brown, and bassist Chris Ball have added Kristen Dawson as the group's second guitarist and Dan Wilding (Aborted, Trigger the Bloodshed) as the band's new drummer.
The Soulless comment on new guitarist Kristen Dawson:
"We auditioned guitarists for months, with not much luck for the perfect shredder. The band While She Sleeps are great friends of ours and recommended a guy from their area. They said he was perfect for the band and we trust their opinion so we gave him a shot.
"He sent us an audition video for the song 'Earthbound'. His was by far the best audition video so we invited him down to the studio while we were recording 'Isolated', the debut Soulless album. We wanted Kristen to hear the album to ensure it was the music he was interested in. He loved what we were doing and really wanted to be involved. He stayed with us over the duration of the studio time. This allowed us to test him out as we could get him to play along to the studio tracks as if recording, so we could hear every mistake. He nailed what we gave him, especially considering the short time he had to learn the songs. We spent two weeks with him and got on well so the decision was easy.

British melodic death metallers The Soulless have announced their upcoming album will be titled "Isolated." The new album is set for release via Earache Records in April of 2011. The Soulless, which recently changed its name from Ignominious Incarceration, wrapped up the recording of the album at Outhouse Studios in Reading, England with producer John Mitchell.
Front man Andy Wardle comments:
"We have just finished recording at Outhouse Studios in Reading. The process went really well, we had a lot of fun and we couldn't be much happier with the results. The studio video is a brief look into what we got up to. It includes clips of some of the coolest riffs, biggest choruses and key lyrics. Also revealed at the end is a sneak peak at the artwork and album title, plus bonus footage of our mad dancing skills. We are now getting ready to tour and have lots of other stuff in the pipeline. Merch designs are coming together and the official video will be shot in February. It should be a killer year for The Soulless!"

British melodic death metallers THE SOULLESS, who recently changed their name from IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION, are going into the studio tomorrow, December 15th, to begin recording their new album. The as-yet untitled new album is due to be released on Earache Records in April, 2011.
THE SOULLESS frontman ANDY WARDLE comments, "We are all beyond excited to start this process. The last few weeks we have been relentlessly rehearsing the tracks and are very happy with our creation. We know it is going to sound even better when finished at Outhouse."
"Everything will be heavily documented and regular video updates will be up after each stage of recording. Artwork, an official video, album title, tours and new merch are all in the works, so this is the calm before the storm..."
British death metal band IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION is changing its name to THE SOULLESS.
The band, which hails from Bath, England, has just finished writing its new album, the follow-up to 2009 debut, "OF WINTER BORN." The band has released the following statement regarding the name change:
"The band started in the pits of hell that was Sam's basement. We were just playing heavy music and having fun. When we decided on the name Ignominious Incarceration, we never anticipated the level we would get to. Had we known, I'm sure we would have chosen a simpler name. The band started to get gigs and we started to take the band way more seriously as we discovered how much fun we could have. We did our first tour with Trigger The Bloodshed and this was when we were first approached by Earache Records. This was a real turning point for the band and we realized we could make something of it. We debated changing the name whilst recording 'Of Winter Born', but chose to stick with it. We don't regret doing this as it is what represented the band at the time." More...
British death metallers Ignominious Incarceration, who are currently working on the follow-up to their 2009 debut album "Of Winter Born," were recently forced to cancel much of their European tour after the band's tour van crashed. The band was driving through France on the way back to the UK, when the van carrying members of both Ignominious Incarceration and label mates And Hell Followed With was involved in a crash on the motorway. There were no serious injuries, though members were left with broken bones, cuts, and bruises.
Almost a month on from the crash, Ignominious Incarceration bassist Chris Ball discusses the band's recovery and progress on the new album:
"After nearly a month after our crash, we're all doing well - we're using this time to finish writing, spend time with our family and friends and get a butt-load of gaming in, haha! My knee still can't bend that much but it shouldn't take long for it to get back to normal and Sam's foot is returning to its normal self!
"In terms of recording and writing, we've pretty much finished writing the album and it's sounding massive! This one will blow 'Of Winter Born' out of the water, so everyone needs to hold onto their hats for it as we are sure it will not disappoint. We should be hitting the studio soon and we are definitely aching to show everyone what we've done! More...
Ignominious Incarceration has checked in with the following update about the band's recent and upcoming activity:
"Unfortunately we had to pull out our remaining August tour dates due to a big car accident our van was involved in. Everyone made it out with no life threatening damage, a couple broken bones, some cuts and scrapes.
"We had a rad time with And Hell Followed With & HID and hope to make it over again. We had to push our recording back from September as well, but this is being reorganized. Peace."
British death metallers Ignominious Incarceration have cancelled the remainder of their European tour with And Hell Followed With. The cancellation of the tour is due to a vehicle accident that took place when the car both bands were travelling in collided with a semi truck on their way back into the U.K. Both bands have released the following statements.
Ignominious Incarceration bassist Chris Ball commented by saying:
"Hey guys, sorry the tour got cut short but due to a major incident we are unable to do any shows for a while, we are all ok and still going strong. Up until the incident we had been enjoying the tour and have made some great friends in the process. We will be back as soon as we’re all 100% fit enough to take to the stage again. In the mean time just keep your eyes and ears peeled for us hitting the studio at some point and new tour dates. Thanks."
And Hell Followed With guitarist Kyle McIlmurray commented by saying:
"Basically we were making a late night drive back to the UK when we nicked a semi truck and got sent like a pinball down the freeway. Most of us sustained minor injuries compared to the guys in [Ignominious Incarceration] Thankfully we’re all alive. We’ll take back pain over death any day. The injuries and damage were so intense that we were forced to cancel the remainder of the tour and head back home. We are so thankful to have had such a great time with the guys in the other bands and play the shows that we did. Words cannot describe how bummed we are that we didn’t get to finish it up. We’ve never backed out on a tour like this.. But unfortunately it was out of our hands. Now that we’re home with our families and safe we’re going to get ready for the road in September with Suffokate and The Red Shore.. It will most certainly be a banger!"
British death metal band IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION has confirmed a European headlining tour. The band, who are currently working on the follow-up to their 2009 debut album, "OF WINTER BORN," are due to headline a run of shows throughout Europe and the UK, with support from label-mates AND HELL FOLLOWED WITH, as well as HONOUR IS DEAD.
IGNOMINIOUS INCARCERATION drummer SAM BAILEY comments, "We can't wait to hit Europe, we've been writing the new album this year and haven't had a chance to play live too much - for this tour we've got a bunch of new material to play, and a sick live show planned. Another reason why this tour is sick is And Hell Followed With is joining us, they're the same age as us more or less and we've spoken to them and from what we can already tell it's gonna be a big party."
"Basically we're just going to be stoked to be playing shows every day, hanging out with some sweet bands and visiting loads of places we haven't visited yet." More...

Ignominious Incarceration has issued the following update about parting ways with their guitarist Bobby Daniels:
"We are afraid to say that bobby has left to pursue something more his style, and we are cool with it, of course we'd rather have someone totally into what we are doing rather than someone who's ambitions lay elsewhere.
"So moving forward, we are having a big refresh. We are currently writing the new album which we are all fucking excited about, refining & planning. We will be playing 2 shows on the 30th & 31st of October (halloween) and touring in December.
"We ARE on the lookout for a new guitarist, but we will NOT be settling for anyone short of awesome/shred. So if you think you fit the bill, then get in touch via firstname.lastname@example.org. I will be posting some sick badges/banners for your assorted pages, we appreciate all support in any shape or form!
