Maltese brutal death metal act Beheaded premiered a video clip for the new song "Beast Incarnate" over at Decibel Magazine's website at this location (also in the player below). The song is the title track from the upcoming new album which is expected for release via Unique Leader on January 27th.
The infernal, eight-track production draws upon the brutal and melodic approach to the band's 2012-issued, critically-championed "Never To Dawn" long player. Recorded at MKII Recording Studio (Italy) and mixed and mastered by Ronnie Björnström (Teadeat, Bone Gnawer, Aeon, Those Who Bring The Torture etc.) at Enhanced Audio Productions Sweden, "Beast Incarnate" comes shrouded in the cover art of Gabriel Alegria Sabogal, welcomes the addition of new recruits -- drummer Davide Billia and guitarist Simone Brigo - and truly stretches the boundaries of Beheaded's signature sound to meet new extremes.
As a precursor to its release, the visual companion to the record's title track is available now. The band commented: "When music is enriched with literature, imagery, colors, and visuals that reflect its essence, it is able to deliver a deeper, more profound immersive visual and aural experience. That is precisely what the video for the album title track 'Beast Incarnate' does. Using all these elements we have worked very closely with Very Metal Art in graphically creating and capturing the character and lifeblood of Beast Incarnate. The music video comes to outline the attributes of Mediterranean death metal - hard hitting and drilling in the psyche. Musically drawing upon the very roots of the band's earliest material and molded from a quarter of a century since Beheaded's inception. Beast Incarnate cements twenty-five years of extreme music with an imprint of the band's present signature sound."
The track list for "Beast Incarnate" is as follows:
1. Beast Incarnate
2. The Horror Breathes
3. Crossing the House of Knives
4. Reign of the Headless King
5. The Black Death
6. Cursed Mediterranean
7. Fid-dlam ta' dejjem
8. Punishment of the Grave

Due to a family emergency, Austria’s diabolical death / black metal band Belphegor has been forced to cancel the planned headlining North American “Voices From The Dark” tour with Rotting Christ, Beheaded, and Svart Crown.
The tour was scheduled to launch September 24th in New York City. Belphegor front man & guitarist Helmuth Lehner issued the following statement:
"After fighting many months now (the last 4 months have been terrible), my mother is at the end. Her body is decaying more and more and will not survive the next weeks (maybe days) or will fall in coma soon. I will not risk being away at this time."
None of the other bands have issued a statement yet, so it's unclear if they will continue the tour or if the entire trek is off with the headlining band cancelling.
Update: Rotting Christ has now confirmed the tour is fully cancelled, stating: "As Rotting Christ we have no other choice than supporting Helmuth's family situation and to express simultaneously our deep disappointment with the fact that we will not meet our Northern American Metal brothers as we promised them with this tour. We promise though that we will work our asses off to be back in your land ASAP so stay tuned for updates." More...
The diabolical death/black metal band Belphegor will return to North American shores with a headlining tour this Fall.
Joining the raid of conquest and blasphemy, dubbed the “Voices From The Dark” tour 2014, is a cornucopia of the finest metal miscreants the world has to offer.
Greek outfit Rotting Christ as well as Beheaded from Malta and Svart Crown from France will be supporting on the trek.
“Belphegor is still brutal and consistent, rolling in worldwide like a wartime tank,” comments Belphegor frontman Helmuth Lehner. “It will be a pleasure to conquer the states again. On 'Conjuring The Dead' we celebrate diabolical death musick with one of our most brutal offerings yet. Join the Belphegor rituals and go to hell with us.”

The Obscene Extreme festival will be taking place from July 16th - 20th, with ticket information available at this location. Now the festival has announced several new additions to the lineup, including Brutal Truth and Morgoth. The festival organizers comment:
"Few bands represent Obscene Extreme as fully as US grind legends Brutal Truth – they've weathered break-ups and line-up changes, but never once have they halted in their mission to keep pushing the bleeding edge of grindcore.
"Never complacent, each steamroller of Brutal Truth album has furthered their sound and moved the goalposts for the whole damn genre in the process. Now bassist, founding member and extreme metal champion Dan Lilker approaches his 50th birthday, he's stepping back from music and his baby - Brutal Truth - will be no more.
"When the band returned in 2006, it was Obscene Extreme the following year that welcomed them back as very personification of the festival. Now, seven years later we'll bid them farewell with one final performance. Obscene Extreme 2014 – this promises to be unforgettable!!!
"Another band that will be stepping out onto the Obscene Extreme stage this year will be fathers of the German death metal scene, the mighty Morgoth. Originally split in 1998 after only three albums - the coffin-lid hammering of 1991's ‘Cursed,’ 1993's forward-thinking ‘Odium’ and their most divisive albums ever, 1995's post-punk ‘Feel Sorry For The Fanatic.’ More...
Malta death metal band Beheaded has issued the following announcement about parting ways with the group's drummer:

"All of us in Beheaded would like to wish Chris all the best for his present and future endevours. We will be announcing Beheaded's new drummer tomorrow."
Chris Brincat also comments: 'Due to unforeseen circumstances I can no longer dedicate time to the band and the last thing I want is to keep Beheaded from moving to the next step. I wish my brothers in Beheaded all the best and a big horns up to all our followers for their support throughout these years." More...
