Swedish act Insision has issued the following announcement about working on an upcoming album and streaming the song "Exaggerated Torment" online:
"We are currently working on new material for Insision's next, yet untitled full length album. Now, We're not the fastest band on the planet to release full length records so for now we give you one track of the latest recording of the song 'Exaggerated Torment' recorded this year on our Myspace page.
"It features Carl Birath along with the Insision's Ex Vocalist Johan Thornberg. The track appears on our 15 year Anniversary CD '15 Years Of Exaggerated Torment.' This song was recorded along with OffBeat studio's Sound Enginner Anders Eriksson. Buy the fucking album & stay tuned for more to come!
"Horns up, Insision."
Insision will be releasing a 15th anniversary double CD entitled "15 Years of Exaggerated Torment." The cover, viewable here, was made by designer Artist "Rian" in Indonesia.
The double CD will be released through Sevared Records in the U.S on May 25th at the Maryland Deathfest. A European release is set for June 1st, 2012. The CD was produced by Insision and engineered by Anders Ericsson from Off Beat Studio. Insision commented:
"We feel proud to have stayed solid throughout these years. Right now we're working hard to create new songs for our upcoming full length CD which hopefully will be our strongest release up to date.
"We don't have a recording date settled but as soon as everything falls into place and feels dark'n'fast enough we will start recording. All credits to the loyal fans of Death Metal who Supported Insision through these 15 years."
Insision has checked in with the following announcement about releasing a collection of old tracks, as well as working on a new album:
"This year 2012 will be 15 years since Sweden's Insision was formed. Sevared Records & Insision are proud to release an early collection of old tracks from their first demo 'Meant To Suffer' 1998 plus their second live appearance from 98 'Live Like A Worm' their Mcd 99 'The Dead Live On,' and most brutal demo ever made 'Promo 2000,' 'Revelation Of The SadoGod' Demo 2001, plus a newly recorded track of an old song.
"Altogether it will be about 23 tracks of Brutal Death Metal on one CD. Once again Insision and the sound engineer Anders Eriksson 'Off Beat' Studio will work together on this CD. The release date is planned to may this year.
"Insision are pleased to release this CD for Sevared Records and in full writing for their next, yet untitled full length CD planned to be released on Sevared Records later this year.
"The new material sounds like a mix of the complex stuff we did on our first record 'Beneath the Folds of Flesh' back in 2001 along with rhythm parts that can be explained with a more darker approach. We don't want our listeners to wait too long for a new record; therefore we'll release this collection for the fans that are into Brutal Death Metal. Hope it's worth the wait. Stay tuned…."
In a recent interview with Global Domination, guitar player Roger Johansson of Swedish act Insision discussed the band's various record labels throughout its history. An excerpt from the interview follows:
Global Domination: Tell us about your split from Earache. Would you agree it’s a label that is losing its touch with the death metal scene? What’s happening with Anata at the moment is a tale of woe no band should have to deal with, let alone one as absurdly gifted as them. Did similar circumstances make you leave the label?
Roger: Can’t speak for Anata but sour deals really suck and take a lot of energy from a band, don’t know the whole story though? Is Earache holding an album? But from what we can remember, Earache put us on some good tours with Decapitated and Suffocation among others… and they did the distribution well so they did their job. The first record got great response from the fans and zines; we played a lot and our second release “Revealed & Worshipped” came 2-3 years later.
But as a band we started to grow away from each other, which lead to the loss of one drummer and a guitar (2 guitars really, during this period of time). So in our case we were going through some differences within the group as people, which lead to that we had to start over with a new drummer. We took in Mac 2004 right away and at the same time we got a support slot for Suffocation and Disgorge (US) coming up in just a 3 week notice. Insane! We went on the tour and did all the shows with only the 3 weeks on rehearsals, but it wasn’t the best tour we have done looking back at it. Still it was awesome to play along with Suffo & Disgorge.
So Earache didn’t want to make efforts in us at that point as the budget on the third album was much greater than on the second so what’s the point. The Suffo-tour ended that era. In a way it was good thing to move on because of the amount of record-options in the actual deal. You don’t want to be owned, so we came out clear from that. The bad thing was the amount of records we signed for on Dental records afterwards, coz they did not do anything right. Fucking retards!
Global Domination: You then signed to Dental Records only to release one album. What happened? More...
