Leaves' Eyes Confirmed For Metal Camp Open Air
Leaves' Eyes is the latest band to be confirmed for the Metal Camp Open Air 2010 festival. The festival will take place from 05.07.-11.07.2010 in Tomin, Slovenia.

Slipknot To Headline Smokeout Festival
Iowa nine-piece Slipknot has been announced as the headliners for this years edition of the Smokeout festival which takes place Friday, October 23 and Saturday, October 24 at the San Manuel Amphitheatre and festival grounds in San Bernardino, CA. The event was founded by rap superstars (no pun intended) Cypress Hill and will be hosted by weed icons, Cheech and Chong. There will be a wide range of acts performing at the festival too, including metal groups Deftones, Immortal and Hardcore legends Bad Brains, as well as rap heavyweights such as Cypress Hill, Geto Boys, Immortal Technique, Mix Master Mike, Redman & Method Man amongst many others.
Immortal To Blame For Rock City 2009 Cancellation?
Inside sources have claimed that the Norwegian black metal legends Immortal may be to blame for the cancellation of the Romanian metal festival, Rock City Open Air. The source states that the band were paid 25% of their fee in advance as a condition for them to perform. However, although Immortal has pulled out of the show, they are reportedly refusing to pay back the money they owe, which means the festival will not have the money needed to stage the event. Immortal Pulls Out of Rock City Open Air 2009
Norwegian black metal legends Immortal has announced that they have been forced to pull out of the Rock City Open Air festival in Romania this year. A message from the band reads as follows:
"Regretfully, Immortal will not be performing at the Rock City Open Air in Romania, where we were scheduled to perform Saturday August 22nd. The contract that we agreed on was not honored within the deadline from the promoter, thus making our participation impossible.
"We still hope to meet our Romanian fans in the future!"
