Founding Members of Christian Death To Perform

Founding members of the seminal Goth/Punk band CHRISTIAN DEATH, under the name CD1334, will be performing the landmark first album ONLY THEATRE OF PAIN at the SHOCK-N-ROLL SPOOKTACULAR, part of the FANGORIA WEEKEND OF HORRORS Friday May 18 at the Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel at 9PM. The show will be an all ages event with a bar for the over 21 crowd.

2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the ONLY THEATRE OF PAIN album and founding members George Belanger, James McGearty and Rikk Agnew wanted to do something special for the occasion. Since singer Rozz Willaims had sadly passed away , the band enlisted Williams’ ex-wife Eva O. to sing the songs and added guitarist Jaime Pina and keyboardist Le Rue De Lashay to flesh out the sound while appearing under the new name CD 1334. Belanger had to drop out due to family matters and former Williams’ associate Christian Omar Madrigal Izzo was brought in on drums.

Frontier Records has pressed a limited silver anniversary edition of the vinyl that will only be available when the band plays this year. The band’s performance at the Henry Fonda Theatre last month was a highly emotional event with people flying in from all over the world to experience the original members re-creating the magik of what a CHRISTIAN DEATH concert was like while pushing it into a new era. The band will be performing the album in its entirety as well as the songs from Hell Comes To Your House and the Deathwish e.p. as well a new song titled “Rites”.

The band has added the the 1334 to the name in order to make the distinction that this band is carrying on the legacy created by the original band and 1334 was Rozz Williams' signature number. The performance is to celebrate the 25th anniversary of OTOP and to introduce the public to the new line-up. They are already working on new songs and will begin recording a new album later in the year. The album's label, Frontier will press a special limited edition clear vinyl version of the album that will only be avaiable at the concert. The band will be doing a signing after the performance. Christian Death Signs To Season Of Mist

CHRISTIAN DEATH have signed to Season of Mist and will deliver their epic new album, "American Inquisition"this year. The album will feature male and female duet style vocals, rare and exotic ethnic instruments, both child and adult choirs. Though it will be a concept album containing the band's typical artistic protests, it's actually upbeat.

CHRISTIAN DEATH will tour to promote "American Inquisition" next autumn, "hopefully in some of the very same venues frequented by the kind folks that brought the band the former French and Spanish Inquisitions, where you can still smell the blood and still hear the screams" the release states.
