"We are very excited to bring you these news! We are almost done writing the songs for the new album, and we couldn't be happier! There is a general feeling that this is gonna be a really great album. Every time I listen to ourselves playing the songs, I can't help smiling. We are totally into every little detail and small part to make this one of the best Angra albums ever."
"The rehearsals are taking place at Ricardo's country house, near São Paulo. We don't have TV or internet, and phone signal is very poor, so we can't help but concentrate fully on the composition process, and this is intentional. We have a whole new set of challenges in the new arragements, since every part of them is being taken to the next level, both technically and musically."
"We will enter the studio in mid February, and we'll keep you posted on the latest news."

Brazilian prog power metal band, ALMAH (feat. ANGRA members Edu Falaschi and Felipe Andreoli), are currently preparing new material for their third studio album, at the same time promoting its predecessor "Fragile Equality." Almah’s singer Edu Falaschi gave official comments about the present stage of work:
“It’s a great pleasure to inform you that very soon we will have a new Almah album in our hands, completely composed. The chemistry of the current line-up is so good and the results we have got with Fragile Equality have been so fantastic, that we can’t stop working at our new songs. All of them sound with a lot of energy, with modern and heavy passages. Certainly, this third CD is a mix of everything that Almah has done on its first two albums, for sure, besides new approaches, sounds and ideas. Very soon we will launch some videos and photos of our work at pre-production of the album and most probably – some parts of new songs! The studio recording is pre-scheduled for the middle of September and the release of the album is to be in the first half of 2010."
ALMAH, the side project of ANGRA members Edu Falaschi (vocals) and Felipe Andreoli (bass), has released their latest music video for "Beyond Tomorrow." Brazilian melodic metallers ANGRA have posted the following message on their official web site:
"ANGRA is putting the very final touches unto its new album. The CD is going to be released in October and shall be the main event in the band's 15th anniversary celebrations.
"The name of the record has been finally announced. It's called 'Aurora Consurgens', which is also the title of an old book written by Saint Thomas of Aquin. Such book was used by Jung to establish relations between dreams and different mental conditions. Contrary to the band's latest album, 'Temple Of Shadows', the forthcoming effort is not a concept album. However, all lyrics do have a common theme: the various mental issues, including suicidal tendencies, schizophrenia, manic depression, sociopathy, etc. The artwork was once again designed by Portuguese artist Isabel de Amorim. The weekend of September 16-17th was quite a memorable one for me. I traveled down to Atlanta, Georgia from my New Jersey home to attend ProgPower VI. This year’s ProgPower consisted of Angra headlining Friday night’s show along with Conception, Orphaned Land, Circus Maximus, and Manticora opening. Saturday’s line up consisted of Stratovarius headlining, along with Therion, Pink Cream 69, Symphorce, and Stride opening.
During my stay, I was able to interview Mati from Orphaned Land and met Mark Edwards from Overlorde. Both guys were exceptionally kind, down to earth, as well as excellent guitar players and should definitely be listened to when the opportunity arises. Though Overlorde did not play, Orphaned Land did and put on quite an amazing show. During their set I found out that one of the guys standing in front of me was so dedicated to the band, that he flew all the way from Israel, where Orphaned Land is from, just to see them! What makes Orphaned Land such a band to command this response from a fan is the fact that they are very energetic on stage, quality musicians, and are able to bring everyone at the concert together. To see Orphaned Land is its own experience in itself. No matter who plays with Orphaned Land, the show will be memorable! More...
