Cadaveria Posts New Single

Horror metal band Cadaveria just released the third and last single of the "Mondoscuro" trilogy, entitled “Mater Tenebrarum." The cover artwork shows Cadaveria herself acting as a sinister Madonna (of the Darkness) with Child.

Besides being a Necrodeath cover, the track contains a clear reference to horror cinema that has always been a source of inspiration for Cadaveria. In fact the final part of the song traces the main theme of Dario Argento's "Inferno," originally composed by Keith Emerson. Among the guest artists are organist Ignis Forasdomine and Lindsay Schoolcraft from Cradle Of Filth. More...

Cadaveria Announces New EP Details

"Mondoscuro" will be the title of the EP involving Cadaveria and Necrodeath, currently in the studio together to complete the mix of what promises to be the most diabolically unusual release of 2016.

The title refers to the cinematographic genre "Mondo film" of explicit documentaries, born in the 60s and depicting sensational, bloody and shocking scenes. "Mondoscuro" also clearly recalls the Mondocane project, a collaboration of Necrodeath and Schizo from which the album "Mondocane: Project One" was born in 1989.

"Mondoscuro" will not be a normal split, but a joint partnership that will see the two bands interacting strongly, through a track-list that alternates new songs to covers and that will include many identity exchanges. The EP will be released in a few months via Black Tears of Death. Stay tuned for more details! More...

Cadaveria Recruits New Bassist

Horror metal band Cadaveria has issued the following statement online about recruiting a new bassist:

"We are very pleased to announce Peter Dayton as Cadaveria's new bass player. Peter's musical tastes and artistic roots come from Swedish death metal and symphonic black metal. He has a long experience in the extreme music panorama as bassist of Enough to Kill and Necrodeath, where he is known as GL.

"Besides his talent and his maturity as musician, the main reason that led us to let him join our group is the fact he is really into Cadaveria mood and he is truly motivated to enter our shadows’ realm as a steady member of the band.

"As Cadaveria tradition wants, the band members names deal with the characters of David Lynch’s filmography. Peter Dayton comes from the Lost Highways to join Cadaveria’s path. Welcome Peter!" More...

Cadaveria Reveals Album Details

Horror metal outfit Cadaveria has revealed the details on new album "Silence," due out on November 18th via Scarlet Records. "Silence" follows previous album "Horror Metal," released in 2012 on Bakerteam Records. The band comments:

“'Silence' is an immense and supreme ‘sound-folly’ that celebrates the capriciousness of destiny, the fugacity of life and the eternal presence of darkness in light. An instinctive impetus made of pure emotions, calibrated by awareness and experience.

"This album represents our maturity as musicians and the highest and most sincere expression of myself as an artist and as a woman. These new compositions are extremely gloomy and sinister, but they give off an explosion of power, intense energies and deep sensations. ‘Silence’ will guide you into a carnival of imagination and reality, where doom and free will are playing their last chess game. I’m sure it will leave many people speechless. Silence!”

The track listing is as follows:

1. Velo (The Other Side Of Hate)
2. Carnival Of Doom
3. Free Spirit
4. The Soul That Doesn’t Sleep
5. Existence
