Motograter Deny Reports Of Mass Exodus Of Members

Motograter have issued a statement denying the recent report that five members of the group had left the band. Yesterday, this report emerged via Numetal.net, which alleged that the band were down to guitarist/vocalist Matt “Nuke” Nunes, having shared a screen cap of a text conversation with guitarist Jesse Stamper that mentioned a mass exodus of band members. Motograter have since denied those reports, issuing the below statement:

“Everything is fine, we just completed our headline tour. Something small got blown out of proportion in the media due to a disgruntled ex-member falsely reporting that we broke up and spreading the news to other websites. That couldn’t be further from the truth. We are the strongest we’ve ever been! We have festivals coming up and then the Terror Universal co-headlining tour coming up after that. We are ready to rock!”

It is unsure if the ‘disgruntled ex-member’ refers to Stamper or the Motograter's former drummer Noah “Shark” Robertson, who has ties to numetal.net. Robertson feuded with Nunes via social media making allegations of drug abuse and violent behavior after being let go.

Five Motograter Members Exit Band

It would appear that Motograter have imploded with reports of all members exiting the band except guitarist/vocalist Matt “Nuke” Nunes. Numetal.net have shared a picture of a text conversation with Motograter guitarist Jesse Stamper in which Stamper revealed that all members of the band, including himself, have quit, leaving Nunes the only remaining member.

The mass exodus follows the latest period of lineup volatility for the band, which began late last year with the firing of drummer Noah “Shark” Robertson. This past April saw bassist Mylon Guy ejected from the group, who found out about his replacement by Aeon Cruz, after reading about it online.

The band nonethelesse just wrapped up a leg of spring touring this month, that was riddled with problems and canceled shows. Motograter wrecked their tour van and trailer which caused canceled dates. Nunes went to jail as well, stating that he was picked up for driving on a suspended license. He's been bragging about it via social media, even though it caused the cancellation of performances.

Motograter Bassist Allegedly Fired Without Notice

Motograter bassist Mylon Guy has apparently found out via social media that he is no longer a member of the band. Yesterday Motograter announced the addition of bassist Aeon Cruz to their lineup.

Comments Mylon Guy:

“I didn’t quit anything. Motograter means too much for me to quit. I just read on here yesterday that I won’t be coming back. Like really? Wtf. This is what happens to you when you have a family tragedy to deal with. You get kicked out of you own fucking band and they don’t even have the balls to tell you. You have to read it on the internet!!! Nice nuke. You are a class act bud.”

Guy‘s firing comes in the wake of some major lineup changes which has seen drummer Dustin “Skunk” Anderson and Noah “Shark” Robertson both exit the band.

Currently Motograter are scheduled for this run of dates beginning next month. More...

Ex-Motograter Drummer Blasts The Band’s Guitarist

Former Motograter drummer Noah “Shark” Robertson has now issued a revised statement regarding his forced departure from the group. Previously Robertson had issued an abbreviated version of the statement. His latest is a very lengthy read, in it he alleges that the Motograter's guitarist Matt “Nuke” Nunes repeatedly mismanaged money earned by the band to feed an alleged drug habit. An excerpt from that statement can be read below:

“I gave my life to this band for 4 years. I have never been compensated. Every single tour that we have done, Nuke has taken ALL of the money. At the end of one tour in particular, he let members disperse without any money in their pockets, whatsoever; begging for train tickets and bus tickets from their family and friends – while he went to Disneyland.

The truth is, most of the money has gone to feed his insane, insatiable drug addiction. Crack, heroin, meth, whatever he can get his greedy hands on. There were many times when we would be stranded, waiting for hours, while he was off scoring drugs. His drug use caused him to behave in a manner that is inconsistent with the rest of civilized society.

Violent outbursts, screaming at band members on a constant basis. Paranoid, delusional behavior. Angry outbursts on stage. Yelling at members during live performances and even kicking them or pushing them. It was a constant battle between Nuke and I. Me constantly trying to battle against horrible decisions and bad business. If the money was handled professionally and correctly, we could not only pay our debts, we would be well within our means to compensate band members for their time and effort.”

Another excerpt finds him explaining that his exit from the band came as the result of a heated altercation with Nunes while on tour:

“Matthew “Nuke” Nunes got in my face, screaming and threatening me, saying I’m a “piece of shit” and a “little bitch”. Threatening me with violence. I had made a snide remark about him losing my driver’s licence, which he did, but to be honest I was half kidding. After all, it was a major inconvenience to me, especially being on tour traveling the country. It was also partially my fault, as I should have never trusted him with it in the first place.

After he made a huge scene in the hotel lobby, screaming and ranting and throwing a temper tantrum, I grabbed my things and proceeded to take off. I did mention “This tour is over.” I said a few things in the heat of the moment, definitely. For a moment I contemplated going home, but in reality I just needed to blow off some steam and cool off.

I thought about my friends, the fans and the promoters and I knew we needed to finish this tour. We had just played fifty-something shows and there were only about 6 or 7 to go. As anyone who’s toured knows, especially in a van, it sometimes gets to the point where even the way somebody eats their cereal in the morning can drive you berserk. We’re a family, but we all hate each other at various moments.

It’s just the way it is. I immediately returned to the hotel and waited in the lobby for at least an hour or two. I was messaging every member of the band. Everyone was ignoring me. A few of them even walked right past me without saying a word. I then saw on social media that they were already telling people I had quit and that they were seeking a replacement. This came as quite a shock.” More...

Motograter Drummer Quits Band

Motograter drummer Noah “Shark” Robertson has announced his departure from the group and it doesn’t seem like his exit was entirely amicable. His statement on the matter can be read below:

“It breaks my heart to release this statement. It looks like my time in the band Motograter has come to an abrupt and shocking end. I want to thank all my friends, the fans, and my extended music family for the support over the years. Like I always do, I will persevere in a major way. I truly loved the band, have always been a fan, and am proud of everything I was able to accomplish with the group. More...

Texas Independence Fest Day 1: BTBAM

Come and Take It Productions founded Texas Independence Fest in 2008 as a way to bring fans of heavy music together and to celebrate Texas pride. This was my second time attending the annual event held in Austin, Texas. Last year I covered sets by Behemoth, 1349, Wayne Static and more. The previous year consisted of only a day, while this year was expanded to three days. Several vendors offered their goods and services for sale. One of these was Gibroni’s Texitalican Kitchen, which offered Tex-Mex meets Italian sandwiches. More...

Five Finger Death Punch Sign To Firm Music

LA rockers, Five Finger Death Punch, have officially inked a deal with Firm Music, a branch of the highly successful entertainment talent management company, The Firm. The band will release their debut opus, THE WAY OF THE FIST worldwide on July 31, 2007.

THE WAY OF THE FIST was recorded at Next Level Studios by Stevo "Shotgun" Bruno (MOTLEY CRUE, PRONG) and at No Name Studios by Mikey Sarkisyan (SPINESHANK) with mixing and mastering duties being handled by Logan Mader (MACHINE HEAD, SOULFLY).

The label are excited about the addition of these metal-vets to their roster. Deb Klein, GM for Firm Music says about the signing, “We were so excited to bring FFDP into our fold. We believe that this band’s material and live show speak volumes. With our company’s history in the metal world coupled with this bands mastery of the genre we are poised for world domination!”

Euro-Metal veteran and previous U.P.O. guitarist, Zoltan Bathory, was the architect of what has morphed into Five Finger Death Punch, recruiting standout studio Metal drummer, Jeremy Spencer to add his trademark ‘double-bass mayhem’ to the equation. Vocalist, Ivan Moody’s previous band, MOTOGRATER, had played to huge crowds on Ozzfest and beyond, while guitarist Darrell Roberts toured with metal legends W.A.S.P.. Matt Snell, bassist of acclaimed experimental outfits ANUBIS RISING and DEADSETT, completed the circle by lending his considerable fretboard mastery to the band’s music.

Ex-Motograter Frontman Update On New Project

Former MOTOGRATER vocalist Ivan (Ghost) has issued the following update on his current activities:

"I get more e-mails than I can possibly reply to, so I decided to publicly answer all the questions about what I'm up to and where I stand with MOTOGRATER.

"First off, I'd like to thank all the fans for their continuous support. I also would like to thank KORN, SHADOWS FALL, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE, SEVENDUST, CHIMAIRA, MARILYN MANSON, DISTURBED, KITTIE, MINISTRY, Ozzy, Sharon and the Ozzfest crew and everyone else I had the honor and privilege to tour with.

"I had an awesome time with MOTOGRATER and I have NOT separated from my MOTO brethren with any malice or bitterness! We are just as much family now, as we have always been. We have achieved more than I ever imagined. We stormed Ozzfest in 2003, were the featured band on 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre', NASCAR 2004, and voted 'Best Band' of 2004 by Hit Parader. What a ride! …But times change and the pages of my musical life have changed as well.

"I am proud to announce that I'm fronting a new ULTRA MEGA METAL band

"When FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH came around, I couldn't say no. It is EVERYTHING I ever loved about metal!! True, dominating, BADASS unforgiving METAL!! Everyone who heard it understood why I have to do this, and gave me their blessings and best wishes. I am putting my undivided attention, and full efforts into FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH. And believe me when I say, IT'S FUCKIN WORTH IT!!

"Thanx again for the continued support and I will see ya all very soon!"

FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH recently revealed 3 tracks off of their debut album, "The Way of the Fist" - That's Being mixed by Logan Mader (ex-Soulfly/Machine Head). You can check out the songs "Ashes", "A Place to Die" and "The Bleeding" at www.myspace.com/ffdp.
