Too Pure To Die have announced a full US headlining tour with Beneath the Sky (Victory), White Chapel (Metal Blade), and Impending Doom (Facedown) starting this Friday! This tour will put them on the road with several noted death metal bands, and the diversity is a positive challenge, tells guitarist Jordan Peterson, "These bands are all on fire and we are looking forward to the diverse and enthusiastic audience." The band just finished up a tour with All that Remains, The Acacia Strain, and Protest the Hero, which was successful tells Peterson because, "We got a lot of new fans from this tour, all the metal kids that we were worried about totally loved us, and we had the crowd captivated. We could see the boost in our fan base by Myspace plays alone." These two tours are very contrasting in scope and audience, but that's what the band likes, tells Peterson, "Whether we are playing big venues with All that Remains or smaller places like VFW halls, it doesn't matter, we just love playing." Corona, California-based Christian death metal band IMPENDING DOOM has released its video for the track "Silence the Oppressors". The clip was directed by Andy Reale and can be viewed here.
"Silence the Oppressors" comes off IMPENDING DOOM's debut album, "Nailed. Dead. Risen.", available now on Facedown Records.
According to a press release, "This is a band comprised of musicians who manipulate the genre of grindcore like a butcher wields his cleaver. Bending vocal sounds to his whim, Brook Reeves takes the listener on a downward spiral into the depths of the band's convictions where one may be surprised to find a shining light of unbelievable brilliance. The juxtaposition of guttural bellowing and slaughterhouse wailing isn't the only thing that catapults IMPENDING DOOM above the rest of the death metal bands. The fact that IMPENDING DOOM refuse to toe the line with their spiritual convictions in a genre long known for its demonic inclinations is paramount to the band's impending notability…and your impending doom."

Facedown records has signed Redlands band Sleeping Giant. On their debut album "Dread Champions of the Last Days" Sleeping Giant showcase an impressive range of song-styling that is rarely seen on a hardcore album. "Blame It On The Holy Rollers," freshly posted on the band's myspace, boasts extensive guest death-vocals by Brook Reeves of Impending Doom.
The band will be playing gigs next month locally in Rialto and Newport Beach, and in March at Facedown Fest.
Facedown Records have issued the following press release regarding their latest signing of Impending Doom (myspace):
The ink is barely dry but we cannot wait to spread the word about Corona, California’s IMPENDING DOOM. These guys have been burning up the stages in Southern Californian venues since 2005 and we’re honored that they decided to sign with Facedown.
There’s a new marque of darkness coming out of the amplifiers of Impending Doom. Three guitarists contribute to the density of sound that fills your head like an inky black menace when first you hear this band. This is a band comprised of musicians who manipulate the genre of grind core like a butcher wields his cleaver. Bending vocal sounds to his whim, Brook Reeves takes the listener on a downward spiral into the depths of the band’s convictions where one may be surprised to find a shining light of unbelievable brilliance.
The juxtaposition of guttural bellowing and slaughterhouse wailing isn’t the only thing that catapults Impending Doom above the rest of the death metal bands. The fact that Impending Doom refuse to toe the line with their spiritual convictions in a genre long known for it’s demonic inclinations is paramount to the band’s impending notability…and your impending doom.
