Century Media Records is proud to announce a worldwide deal with Florida Death Metal icons Massacre. The band is resurrected with two of the original band members: band founders Rick Rozz (guitar) and Terry Butler (bass, also in Obituary). The line-up is completed with Ed Webb (ex-Diabolic, also in Destined to Ruin and Generichrist) on vocals duties and Mike Mazzonetto (ex-Pain Principle) on drums. Century Media commented:
"Everyone who saw the new line-up at recent local shows in Florida or on this year's 70,000 Tons Of Metal cruise knows that this is the ultimate line-up to continue the band's legacy with a new album! The first two songs, called 'Back From Beyond' and 'Succumb To Rapture,' are already recorded at CGM Studios in Florida and will be released as a 7" this August 2012 in time for Massacre live at Wacken Open Air in Germany (followed by more shows to be announced soon)."
Rick Rozz added: "I am overwhelmed, and overly flattered, for this great honor in this day & age, of being part of the Century Media Family. I remember touring with Robert Kampf and his band DESPAIR back in the late 1980s, on tour with DEATH, when he was first starting CM...and now we are on the same team 25 years later. After so many years gone by it is great to be working with Terry again and our former DEATH manager Eric Greif, as well as getting to write and record with Ed Webb & Mike Mazzonetto. This whole thing came together on the fly, after 17 years in the waiting. Way cool...if you ask me, nothing but respect!"
Terry Butler commented: "It's a great honor to be part of the Century Media Family and for me personally to be working with Rick again! We have found the perfect band members in Ed and Mike to solidify the line-up. We are very excited and focused to get a new album out in 2012." More...

Band members and legal representatives for the groups have stated that the agent never got back to the bands regarding contracts and deposits, which put all parties at unease. Massacre still hopes to go over to Europe in the summertime to play a few shows that will not conflict with Terry Butler's Obituary schedule. Master issued the following statement on it's Facebook page: "I am sorry to say that the Massacre, Macabre and Master tour is cancelled. A big apology goes out for sure to all the fans and promoters, but unfortunately in today's world of business it is hard to find a reputable booking agent and the days are gone to take such risks with guys like Marcus Schreiber. After 10 days of no answers, contracts or final confirmation of the dates we are forced to cancel the tour." - (Paul Speckmann and Master) Rick Rozz DeLillo (Massacre) had the following succinct thing to say: "We saved ourselves a 100% nightmare, and the year has just begun." Singapore-based Pulverised Records is pleased to announce the re-signing of horror/gore death metallers BONE GNAWER.
BONE GNAWER is the collaboration between legendary growler Kam Lee (ex-Mantas, ex-Massacre, ex-Denial Fiend), Rogga Johansson (Paganizer, Demiurg, Ribspreader etc.), Ronnie Bjornstrom (Hate Ammo, Ribspreader, Taedeat) and Morgan Lie (Naglfar).
Commented Lee of the new album deal and the band's upcoming recording: "It feels good to be back with Pulverised. This is the one label that has a true understanding of the type of oldschool '90s style of death metal we play. This time around we're taking another brave and bold approach to our musical direction and lyrical concepts. We always strive to go against the grain and not cater to modern trends, all the while staying true to the oldschool death metal sound. This time around we are going for a torture and vengeance type lyrical concept, although some of those traditional 'cannibal themed' type lyrics will remain. We are [going for] a grittier feel and a much darker edged 'grind-house' appeal to our lyrical concepts taking influences from some of the more hardcore exploitation type films of the late '70s such as I Spit On Your Grave and Last House On The Left. Musically we are retaining the horrific blend of oldschool death metal we are known for, yet combining it with an even catchier flair."
Further details on the follow-up to BONE GNAWER's "Feast Of Flesh" debut are to be announced soon.

Florida death metal band Massacre, who saw the exodus of all band members except the vocalist, has issued the following update about seeking out new members:
"Well it seems that both the drummer and bassist positions may have now been secured for the 'New' MASSACRE line up.
"Kam Lee has spoken to both bassist Dave Pybus (CRADLE OF FILTH) and to drummer Tony Laureno (NILE/DIMMU BORGIR) and both have shown a great interest and desire to join with Kam & MASSACRE to bring forth the new album in 2010.
"Kam is very pleased and excited to have these two fantastic musicians and great fans of MASSACRE interested in helping make a 'new' MASSACRE album a reality. And also - it seems that Mirai (SIGH/NECROPHAGIA) has agreed to help out by creating and playing some very eerie keyboard intros and outros for the album as well. His fantasic musical skills and insight is both an overwhelming welcomed thrill and very exciting addition as well.
"However - the guitarist positions are still being held open for auditions! As of now - several guitarist have already sent in several audition songs and riffs, while others are still being waited on for their submissions. Kam is trying to be both fair and to be very selective with who he shall pick to fill the position of guitarist! As Kam feels this is both a very important - as well as a very crucial decision to make. And is not a position to take lightly... More...
Florida death metal band Massacre have issued the following update about their line-up changes and legal challenges:
"That's right... MASSACRE is going to be going under 'new' management with a very well known and respected individual and great friend... a veteran in the metal scene himself, and the hope is that with his assistance and management skills - that MASSACRE will be able to finally get over these "legal issues" and problems it has been faced with for the last several years... finally breaking out of these "legal chains" that have been holding the band in "legal limbo" for the past several years - and finally allowing Kam Lee to move forwards with creating an all "new" MASSACRE line up for 2010! Announcement will be made when all has been finalised. "
