Infernaeon Enters the Studio

Florida’s INFERNAEON have completed writing their upcoming album for Prosthetic Records and are entering Safe House Production studios to work with legendary guitarist James Murphy (TESTAMENT, OBITUARY, DEATH), who is working with the band from pre-production through mastering.

The band has also to announce the addition of guitarists Taylor Nordberg and Steven Harger and bassist Mike Poggione. Frontman Brian Werner had this to say about the new members:

“It is a real breath of fresh air getting these three in the band. Taylor and Steve are both young, 18 and 19, and hungry and their talent and work ethic are second to none. We’ve accomplished more in three months than I’d ever been able to accomplish in a year before! I spent time with Mike Poggione in Monstrosity and he’s really helping us out in our bass player’s absence. Also our drummer Jeramie Kling (The Absence) has really stepped up his game, and in my opinion he could be the next Derek Roddy or Tim Yeung. He has really come into his own as a drummer and it’s an honor to still be working with him. The end result is an absolutely amazing sounding album one that I’m proud to be a part of.” More...

Infernaeon Announces Lineup Changes

Florida death metallers Infernaeon have issued the following update about replacing several band members:

"We’d like to announce the attainment of several new members including Jeramie Kling formerly of The Absence, as well as the return of our former guitarist Chris Defaut.

"After that last Pyrexia tour we had a cancer within the band that needed to be removed forcefully which threatened everything that this band is trying to accomplish. Our drummer at the time ended up getting the job with Malevolent Creation, so you can’t fault him for that. Sam and Brian just wanted to go in different directions and we wish them the best of luck. Seriously, we hope those guys find what they’re looking for. We have Chris Default from Divine Empire back in the band, who was an original member and wrote most of these songs anyways, as well as Jeramie from The Absence who is straight up a seriously cool motherfucker and one of the best drummers I’ve heard in a while.

"We’d also like to welcomes to the fold guitar player and long time friend Erick Leider to replace Sam Molina, and Kevin’s brother Dave Stein on Keyboards. More...

Infernaeon Announces New Line-Up

Florida based metal band INFERNAEON have announced the addition of several new members including Jeramie Kling formerly of The Absence. The bands front man Brian Werner had this to say, “After that last Pyrexia tour we had a cancer within the band that needed to be removed forcefully which threatened everything that this band is trying to accomplish. Our drummer at the time ended up getting the job with Malevolent Creation, so you can’t fault him for that. Sam and Brian just wanted to go in different directions and we wish them the best of luck. We have Chris Default from Divine Empire back in the band, who was an original member and wrote most of these songs anyways as well as Jeramie from The Absence who is straight up a seriously cool motherfucker and one of the best drummers I’ve heard in a while.”

The band also welcomes to the fold guitar player and long time friend Erick Leider to replace Sam Molina and Dave Stein on Keyboards.

“These guys are some of the most dedicated musicians I’ve worked with in a while. They take their trade seriously which makes working with them so much easier than before. I’ve known Erick for the better part of 10 years and when I asked him if he wanted to do this, he quit his job, cleaned out his bank account, left his woman and moved to the other side of the country to be a part of this. Not to mention Dave is Kevin’s brother so it’s cool to have some blood in the band.”

The band is currently on tour supporting their latest album, "A Symphony of Suffering," on Prosthetic Records. The band will be supporting Skinless and Vital Remains for the week and then finishing up with Fierce Allegiance on their way home to Florida.

“We have a shit load of touring coming up this summer and well into the fall. We can’t announce it yet until everything confirms, but we should be very active for the rest of the year. See you fuckers soon. We have a ton of new merch available at Indiemerch.com”

Infernaeon and Sons Of Azrael banned in Fresno

Infernaeon and Sons of Azrael ran into some trouble on one of the first dates of their current tour. Here are the official statements from members of the bands:

Brian Werner of Infernaeon had the following to say:
"On Wednesday August 29, at The Exit, in Fresno, California, we were told by the club owner that we could not perform or sell our merchandise due to the graphic images depicted on our shirts and CD?s. We would have had to censor the lyrics in our songs and lose the stage show in order to play. My band and I have not been more insulted. Last time I checked, freedom of religion means any one person has the right to practice any religion of his choosing. This was a case of one person trying to enforce his religious convictions on all the fans that chose to buy a ticket. The decision was made to stand our ground with our brothers in Sons of Azrael, and not submit to any sort of censorship. We all come from various religious beliefs, and do not discriminate against anyone for their own. All we ask is to not be discriminated against for our beliefs and convictions. We did not do this just for ourselves. We did it for all of you, and your freedoms. This country was founded on the basis of unpopular speech, and the right to be free at any and all costs."

Joseph Siracuse of Sons of Azrael had this to say:
"This was an unfortunate situation for a number of reasons. We apologize to all the fans who paid to see our performance but this was a circumstance that required the protection of our convictions. The owner of this venue did say that we could perform if we cut certain songs from our set and removed all of our merchandise from the premises. This was unacceptable. It is our constitutional right to express ourselves. As individuals, we are very tolerant people. We do not condemn anyone for their beliefs and we expect the same in return. As musicians, our lyrics and music are our outlets for expression and trying to silence them is unjust. To our fans in Fresno, we'll be back. Hails"

Infernaeon Talks About Debut Release

Florida blackened death metal band INFERNAEON frontman Brian Werner has been interviewed by About.com and covered details surrounding the band's debut release, 'A Symphony of Suffering,' the band's ranks which include ex-Monstrosity members and the album's concept and guest appearances.

Here are a few excerpts from the full interview:

Briefly describe the concept behind A Symphony Of Suffering.

Well the first two tunes are separate from the last three. The first tune is about the Marquis De Sade, one of my favorite authors. The word sadist was named after him I highly recommend reading “120 Days of Sodom” or “Justine,” two of my favorites. The second tune, "Sleeping God," is a fiction story based on the left-hand path version of the creation story. In spiritual satanism, we belieive in the concept of the seven ancient ones and this entity that has been asleep for 10,000 years is actually their father. And since humanity has only existed for 5,000 years, no one has heard of him and now he's waking up and he's pissed. The album ends with a 3 song trilogy about a prophetic entity who can see the future though the eyes of the dying. So in order to amass more power, he wages a war against the living. The second song of the trilogy goes on to talk about how the victims of the oracle come back to life seeking vengeance against their undead assassins. The trilogy ends with "A.I.D.S.," which stand for Annhilating the Inner Decay of Species which finishes the war.

How did you get Ben Falgoust (Soilent Green, Goatwhore) and Keith DeVito (Obituary, Suffering) to do guest vocals on the album?

Keith was my mentor and taught me how to sing when he was in Pyrexia and pointed me in the right direction and been one of my best friends for several years. Ben actually crashed at my house probably at least 12 times over the years with Soilent Green and Goatwhore when they were on tour. I live in Florida and they come through here all the time. Once we were in the studio doing the album and he was on tour with Soilent Green and he came down at like 4am and laid down the tracks. That guy has one the the sickest voices in extreme metal so we were stoked to get him to do it.

Infernaeon Cancel Florida Shows

Infernaeon updated on the recently announced shows in Florida:

"We are sorry to inform everyone we have canceled both shows. The promoter has made some unreasonable requests and actually asked us to pay to play. We agreed to sell tickets and draw but that did not satisfy the promoter and asked us for $200 per show which is unprofessional to say the least. We are a signed national act and should be getting paid not paying to play a local show. Especially after we agreed to play for free. So we apologize to everyone but these are terms that we will stand our ground on."

Infernaeon Signs with Prosthetic Records

Florida-based blackened death metal band INFERNAEON has inked a deal with Los Angeles-based Prosthetic Records. Boasting former members of Monstrosity, INFERNAEON's debut record, A Symphony of Suffering, will see a March release and features guest vocal appearances from Ben Falgoust (Soilent Green, Goatwhore) and Keith DeVito (Obituary, Suffocation, Catastrophic). Mastering duties were handled by Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal, ex-Morbid Angel). Tracks were initially laid down for A Symphony of Suffering in late 2006 at Home Land Studios in Highland Beach, Fla. with producer Zach Brown.

Having already shared the stage with Malevolent Creation, Deeds of Flesh and Vile among others, INFERNAEON has already been making a name for themselves in Florida and throughout the States with a brash, memorable stage show mixing theatrical murder and make up effects provided by Universal Studios. Three tracks from INFERNAEON's forthcoming record are available on the band's MySpace page, including "Oracle of Armageddon," the first song in an album-ending trilogy focusing on an oracle who amasses prophetic powers from the dying.

Artwork, tracklisting and a release date for A Symphony of Suffering will be available shortly.
