Floridian death metal band Infernaeon is pleased to announce the release of upcoming album "The Cancer Within."
Recorded at Smoke and Mirrors Recordings in Tampa, Florida, "The Cancer Within" was produced/recorded/mastered by James Murphy of Safehouse Production and mixed by Peter Tagtgren of The Abyss in Sweden.
James Murphy is quoted as saying "This is one of the best death metal albums I've worked on in a long time."
The band has released a track from the album, entitled "Deflowered," available below. "The Cancer Within" will be released August 27th on Black & Blue Records in stores worldwide. U.S. and Canadian tour dates will be announced shortly. More...
After the members of Floridian blackened death metal band Infernaeon fired each other earlier this year, the group has now announced the addition of Eric Rhodes as lead vocalist and frontman.
Kevin Gibbons, bassist, was quoted as saying "We all think it's great to work with a guy like Eric. His voice and range are amazing and he really contributes to our sound. Jeramie Kling, Steven Harger, Dave Stein, and Taylor Nordberg are all on this next album too ... so it's going to be brutal."
Steven Harger, guitarist, added "We have a lot in store for the next recording...I'm really convinced it's going to be the best album yet for the band."
Infernaeon will be entering the studio to record the band's next album in February 2012 with James Murphy (TESTAMENT/DEATH/OBITUARY) of SafeHouse Production, Corey Smoot (GWAR/MENSREA) of Slave Pit Studios, and with mixing/mastering at The Abyss Studio in Sweden by Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY).
Yesterday, several metal news site reported that Infernaeon had parted ways with vocalist Brian Werner. In a situation similar to the Gorgoroth debacle where two sides of the band insisted the other had been fired, other sources are now claiming that Werner is carrying on the band's name and the bassist and keyboardist have actually been fired.
The following statement from an Infernaeon Facebook profile was quoted by several sites yesterday:
"After much forethought, Infernaeon has decided to part ways with our singer Brian Werner. He was planning on leaving the band after our appearance at the Babylon Rising Festival in Puerto Rico, and it was decided afterwards that it would be beneficial if he carried out those plans. Infernaeon is in no way breaking up, and we thank our fans for their continued support."
Another Facebook profile bearing the same name, and apparently run by Brian Werner himself, has now been updated with the following string of messages:
"Infernaeon fires bassist and keyboardist for unprofessionalism after the show in puerto rico.
"In response to this page being hacked that is definitely NOT the case, certain member that were recently fired are just starting unneeded drama instead of having some integrity. Fact is i do find it funny how a group of people who werent even on every album or where never on ANY record contract feel they have a right to a name that was well established before they ever joined the band!
"Contrary to a bullshit press release that went out yesterday i in fact will not be quitting the band by any means. That press release was sent to blabbermouth by terminated members who have 0 legal standing to use the name Infernaeon of ANY kind. Fact is i am the sole owner of ALL intellectual property rights, artwork, merch, lyrics, music and I am the only member to appear on every release."
Additional details on the status of Infernaeon and who actually remains in the band will be announced as they are made available.
Metal-Rules.com has posted a video interview online with Florida based metal act Infernaeon. Footage from the interview can be viewed below.
Gwar shows in Vancouver are always a sell out and there was no doubt that the Commodore Ballroom, located in the middle of Vancouver’s trendy Granville Entertainment District, was packed to full capacity. In a day and age where many shows are being down-sized or cancelled all together Gwar somehow manages to keep the Vancouver bohabs crawling back for more each November. While this time around Gwar had brought with them a few of the weaker openers it has chosen in the last few years once the almighty Antarctican space thrashers took the stage the real show began. GWAR is no stranger to New Orleans, they make it here about once a year. Unfortunately one of the opening bands Infenaeon could not make it to this show. They’ve had extremely bad transportation issues throughout this trek across the states and had to miss our town. But I wish them well in the future. Although it wasn’t packed gut-to-butt as usual, there was a great turn-out, and all of the crazy crowd surfers were there. More...

Infernaeon vocalist Brian Werner has posted the following update online while on its current North American tour with Gwar:
"What can I say, this tour has been a dream come true!! I mean what more can you ask for? Sold out shows left and right, violent crowds of extremely cool fans, and mass murder on stage every night. I mean I've been a GWAR fan since I was 12 years old, even now that I know all the guys behind the masks it doesn't matter. Every night when they walk out on stage I don't see them I see the characters and it's like being 12 years old all over again every single night. Besides for a death metal band touring in the states you don't see shows of this size very often let alone EVERY night!!! The Casualties are some seriously cool motherfuckers too and Mobile Deathcamp is already like family to us so, the whole thing has just been hands down the best tour this band has ever done, and we still have 2 months to go!!!"
INFERNAEON took some time off from preparing in Floridia for their upcoming tour with GWAR, to film a video for their cover of Metallica’s, “Creeping Death.” The video was directed by Jack Ass collaborator Mike “The King Of Rock N Roll Debauchery” Busey, at his compound in Florida, which was named by Playboy Magazine as “The Wildest House In America.” The video features appearances by GWAR frontman Orderus Urungus, Penthouse Pet Jessica Walker, snakes, undead women, and pyrotechnics.

Vocalist Brian Werner commented on the release: "This was really a true test of our will. We had a million road blocks and people standing in our way on this, and we demolished the barriers, slit the throats and pissed on the graves of all who stood in our way. Bridges were burned, feelings were hurt and I personally don't give a fuck about anyone or anything that got destroyed in the process, as long as this album came out the way it was supposed to, because at the end of the day it's all about the music and nothing else fucking matters!!"
Keyboardist David Stein added; "This album couldn't have become a reality had it not been for the collective wills of everyone in this band. It was truly an honor to work with such professionals on this project."

Floridian extreme metallers, Infernaeon, have premiered the first track from their upcoming album, “Genesis To Nemesis,” due August 31st. The track is called “Ziasudra,” and tells the story of the Sumerian king of the same name, from which the story of Noah is derived. It can be heard now at the band’s newly redesigned MySpace page, which also features the new album’s cover art done by Brazilian artist Marcelo Vasco. Front man Brian Werner commented on the cover:
“My boy Marcelo Vasco, from Brazil, is hands down the most amazing artist out there right now. He’s worked with everyone from Obituary to Vader to Belphegore, and just when I think I’ve seen the best work out of him, he does something new and I’m blown away all over again. I was anxious to see what he was going to do for us for this album and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw this. It was literally everything we had wanted from an album cover since we started writing the album”
“Genesis To Nemesis,” was recorded with producer Brian Elliott at Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida. The album features guest appearances by Gwar’s front man, Oderus Urungus, Erik Rutan, John Zahner of Savatage (who served as keyboard engineer) and Bill Hudson and John Slaughter of Coldera.

Florida blackened death metal act Infernaeon have released details regarding their upcoming studio album. The album, titled "Genesis To Nemesis," was recorded in Erik Rutan’s famed Mana Recording Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida and was produced by Brian Elliott.
INFERNAEON's founder and vocalist, Brian Werner commented: "Every bad thing possible was thrown at us and we had to eat some serious shit on a silver spoon and smile about it afterward to get this done. We actually wrote almost an entire other album that we threw out and started from scratch after we trimmed the fat over a year ago, but it couldn't be a better situation now. Steven and Taylor did a fucking amazing job creating a sonic 'image' which complimented the entire album concept perfectly. The album itself is the entire story of the bible from beginning to end, however, it's told historically accurately instead of the brain dead point of view the bible tries to portray. All in all, recording at Mana was an amazing experience as always; Brian and Erik are killer motherfuckers and always are intense to work with and always put forth 100% every time. Mix all the elements together with some Crowley-esque Thelema thrown in and I'm very proud to say that it turned out better then we could have expected!"
INFERNAEON will be hitting the road this fall for an extensive US tour, and have previously shared the stage with the likes of Malevolent Creation, Deicide, Atheist, Deeds of Flesh, Vile, and Impaled.
"Genesis To Nemesis" has been set for release on August 31st, 2010 through Prosthetic Records.
Florida’s INFERNAEON have completed recording their second full length album, which will be released later this summer. The band, who blends Flordian death metal with more symphonic, sinister European black metal, recorded at Erik Rutan’s infamous Mana Recording (Goatwhore, Cannibal Corpse, Hate Eternal) Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer Brian Elliott. This is the first album with new guitarists Taylor Nordberg and Steven Harger and bassist Mike Poggione and is the follow up to 2007’s “A Symphony of Suffering.”
INFERNAEON’s founder, ex-Monstrosity vocalist, Brian Werner commented on the album, “”It’s been one hell of an adventure getting this thing done, man; we went up to down, good to bad and back to better than before. We faced a ton of obstacles in the process of this and rolled right over every motherfucker that got in our way and at the end of the day, perseverance really paid off. It was an honor to work with everyone in involved in this final product and it turned out better than we ever could have imagined.”
Florida’s INFERNAEON have completed writing their upcoming album for Prosthetic Records and are entering Safe House Production studios to work with legendary guitarist James Murphy (TESTAMENT, OBITUARY, DEATH), who is working with the band from pre-production through mastering.
The band has also to announce the addition of guitarists Taylor Nordberg and Steven Harger and bassist Mike Poggione. Frontman Brian Werner had this to say about the new members:
“It is a real breath of fresh air getting these three in the band. Taylor and Steve are both young, 18 and 19, and hungry and their talent and work ethic are second to none. We’ve accomplished more in three months than I’d ever been able to accomplish in a year before! I spent time with Mike Poggione in Monstrosity and he’s really helping us out in our bass player’s absence. Also our drummer Jeramie Kling (The Absence) has really stepped up his game, and in my opinion he could be the next Derek Roddy or Tim Yeung. He has really come into his own as a drummer and it’s an honor to still be working with him. The end result is an absolutely amazing sounding album one that I’m proud to be a part of.” More...
