Australian death thrashers Gospel Of The Horns has announced their breakup. Guitarist Mark Howitzer has posted the following message online:
"After 16 years of beer, sweat and hell, I have decided to bring Gospel Of The Horns to an end. We would like to thank the many friends we have made around the world during our journey... and hail to Darragh from Invictus for his unending support. He has given Gospel every opportunity to drive our thrashing mayhem out to all. The time is right to move on to new horizons and we are content in knowing that we have given everything we had in our arsenal. Our final show will be on the 7th of December with Grave in our hometown of Melbourne. This show will be one hell of a mighty occasion!"

Gospel of the Horns have issued the following statement:
"Since the unfortunate situation earlier in 2007 where news was broken on Blabbermouth that Gospel of the Horns had split up and therefore wouldn't be touring again, we've had a hard task convincing people Gospel of the Horns are in fact still 100% active as a band. They are currently preparing to tour Australia with Sodom. Gospel of the Horns are NOT split up and are available for interview as normal. They are also planning, in association with Invictus Productions & Metal Kommand touring, a European tour. No dates have been confirmed yet and it is very much in the early stages of organising but Gospel of the Horns will tour Europe again."
"In other G.O.T.H. related news Black Ace Records from Holland have released the vinyl edition of "Realm of the Damned" in a deluxe gloss, gatefold edition (some come with a killer poster as well). Invictus are currently waiting on copies but we should have them soon. Salutes to KK & B.A.R. for an excellent job."
Gospel Of The Horns has cancelled their planned European tour as well as their Festugn Open Air/UMM Fest appearances. No further reasons were given than "due to circumstances beyond our control."
Earlier this year, the Australian metallers disbanded for "the indefinite future" only to get back together weeks later with a slight change in lineup, and working on a new album entitled "Realm Of The Damned."

Saturday April 7th @ Club Phoenix, Brisbane with CARBON & THE DEAD, NEFARIA & DESPOTIC
Friday May 18th @ The Lizzard Lounge, Adelaide with RAVEN BLACK NIGHT, BLOOD MASON, INTENDED VICTIM & TREACHARY

The rest of the dates are currently being filled.
Only a few weeks ago, Australian metallers Gospel Of The Horns disbanded for the indefinite future. Now they're back together and ready to keep on kicking jams. The only difference this time 'round is that during the short-lived hiatus, Hexx left the band. Taking is place is Marauder, who will join Howitser, Hellcunt and Masochist on their quest for hell-bent fury. The bands' pre-split plan of touring Europe is now back in the diary, with shows continuing to go on as planned. Gospel Of The Horns will now also be able to promote the release of their upcoming second studio album within Australia.
It's not long before the release of their new full-length "Realm of the Damned" and Gospel of the Horns has broken up. Invictus Productions still plans to release "Realm of the Damned" in February, however, with the original release date of February 1st changed to mid February. The layout and artwork are currently being finalised here at Invictus HQ. You can view the cover artwork here, however.
As a result of their split, Gospel of the Horns will not be touring in Europe as previously announced.
You can hear the fully mastered and mixed track "Strength Through Fear" off of "Realm of the Damned" on Invictus' MySpace page.
Australian black/thrash metal act GOSPEL OF THE HORNS has released audio clips of songs that will appear on their "Realm of the Damned" CD. The long-awaited follow up to 2002's "A Call to Arms" is scheduled for release in early 2007 via Invictus Productions.
According to the Invictus Productions, "Realm of the Damned" sees GOSPEL OF THE HORNS "moving forward in style but retaining that G.O.T.H. rhythm and feel so evident on 'Eve of the Conqueror' [2000 debut EP]. . . Heavy, raw, with a class touch of MOT?RHEAD, CELTIC FROST, RAZOR, SODOM (to name some obvious references)."
