Kruger Debuts New Track

Swiss noisemongers Kruger have completed work on their fifth full-length album. Back on track with a new guitar player, still fired-up from last year's tour with Gojira last year and armed with 13 years of noise expertise, the quintet is announcing the October 13th release of "Adam and Steve" on Listenable Records.

The band, along with Listenable Records, has teamed with New Noise Magazine for the exclusive premiere of the title track from this landmark release. Check out "Adam and Steve" at this location.

Produced, as usual, by the band and mixed by Cult of Luna's Magnus Lindberg, "Adam and Steve" will be released on Pelagic Records in vinyl format as well.

Kruger Recording New Album

Swiss post-metal band Kruger started the recordings for the follow up to their highly praised "Redemption through Looseness" in September.

The band comments that the album should contain shellacking mid-paced grooves with epic double-kick assaults while bourbon-soaked microphone screams reply to thick riffing wreckage. More info will be posted as they come available. The album should be out spring 2010 on Listenable records.

He was Knut's former bass player (yep, we barely change...). We're still looking for the right guy to help us out on the few other slots, until the only one and original Kruger bassist Blaise comes back from Canada next January. Kruger Posts Two New Songs Online

After a rocking debut and aggro-belting album, "Built For Speed", the Swiss, whiskey-induced, metal hybrid KRUGER continued to make themselves known in 2005 with a massive, heavy and promising second piece mixed by Fredrik Nordstrom in a very Swedish (think "thick") kind of way. "Cattle Truck" has since been acclaimed by both critics and fans throughout Europe, and allowed KRUGER to share the stage with bands like The Dillinger Escape Plan, Isis, Cult of Luna, Sleeppers, Gojira or Unsane, with whom they hold the comparison very decently. They even slaughtered the stage this year at the mythical Montreux Jazz festival.

Now in 2007, KRUGER delivers an epic and intense follow-up, "Redemption Through Looseness". Gloomy and dark, yet overwhelmingly powerful, this new 9-track album drowns the band’s acknowledged influences (Breach, Entombed, Tool, Neurosis) into an intense magma of shredding metallurgic charge, drilling vocal turpitudes and desperate, naked heaviness. Thematically stuck into out-of-subject considerations and cynical bottle stories, KRUGER drive faster and louder, crashing the post-hardcore clichés in their way.

Here is the tracklisting for Kruger's "Redemption Through Looseness":

1. Ammunition Matters
2. Queen of the Meadow
3. The Graveyard Party
4. Hummers vs Pedestrians
5. Holy Fire
6. Army of Lovers
7. War & Wine
8. The Cowboy Song
9. Crusaders

You can check out two new tracks on their MySpace page.

Kruger Sign To Listenable Records

Swiss noisemongers KRUGER have inked a deal with France's Listenable Records. The band's third studio album, "Redemption through Looseness", is being recorded at Belle Fontaine studios in Lausanne, Switzerland and will be mixed by Kurt Ballou at Godcity studios in Salem, Massachusetts. Mastering duties will be handled by Alan Douches in New York.

KRUGER's last album, "Cattle Truck", was released in 2005. The band previously played shows across Europe with ISIS, THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, GOJIRA and CULT OF LUNA.

According to a press release, "fans of MASTODON, CULT OF LUNA, BREACH, ISIS, TOOL and ENTOMBED may find this new piece of sinister and ridiculously loud and massively heavy metal an enjoyable listen."
