AllStars 2013 Lineup Announced

The third annual installment of the AllStars Tour is taking shape for this summer, and Buffalo's Every Time I Die will be this year's headliner (the abnd's final run in support of the "Ex Lives" album).

The tour will also feature Chelsea Grin, Veil of Maya, Terror, Stray From The Path, Capture The Crown, IwrestledABearOnce, For All Those Sleeping, and DayShell. Structures, Volumes, and other bands TBA will also be performing in select markets.

Every Time I Die's Keith Buckley (vocals) states: “We've always put a lot of effort into making this band work and when we perform we do so at the highest level of intensity, so to finally be deemed an 'AllStar' is a dream come true. I plan on relaxing in a hot tub with Wade Boggs or smoking huge cigars with Ronnie Harmon talking about our visits to Hollywood. Those are just some casual things us AllStars do when we're not giving 110%. But that's rare. This tour has a solid line-up and we're excited to be a part of it. See you all this summer.”

Stay tuned to the tour's Facebook profile for more updates. More...

Terror Signs With Victory Records

Victory Records is proud to welcome Terror to the Victory family. The band will release a sixth studio album titled "Live By The Code" in April, 2013 in the U.S. and Canada. Terror vocalist Scott Vogel comments:

“When I was in high school, I would go to ‘Home of the Hits Records’ in Buffalo, NY and every week I would check for new Victory releases. Growing up, Victory Records always had the best hardcore bands, period. They had this awesome packaging and vibe that I loved. Integrity, Strife, Bloodlet, Earth Crisis - it was a fucking amazing time for hardcore. Later, I met Tony when he came to Buffalo to see Snapcase.

"We stayed in contact and made plans for my second band Despair, but soon after we broke up. Victory and my band Buried Alive worked together for years. They also had Hatebreed, Blood For Blood, All Out War, and Reach The Sky, all bands I’ve always respected and held in the highest regard. This summer I hung out with Tony and we had a wild night in Chicago. We talked about the good and bad of hardcore today and just had a blast. No business talk, no nonsense. We were under contract at the time so there wasn't even room for it.

"As we got ready to release Live By The Code, Terror and Century Media debated on how to release the record right and Victory Records seemed like the best fit. Tony and I are both insane. We both come from the same place. We both scratch and fight to stay afloat. We still believe in the essence of hardcore and still love Warzone. This is pretty fucking exciting.” More...

Terror Comments On New Album Release

Terror has checked in with the following statement about the delays in releasing new album "Live By The Code," which is due out later this year:

"A lot of people have been leaving comments or asking us when Live By The Code is coming out. We want this record out too, believe me. The record is done. It's been done for a long time now. The layout is done. Everything is set. And we are very proud with it. It came out great. Really fucking great.

"So what has the delay been? Our own stubbornness. Our own drive to make sure it's released the way we want it. We are under contract with Century Media, for better or for worse. They have always treated us fairly, but as a band you always want more. You always feel short changed. You always have your vision and getting that vision across to a larger label is not always easy. So for months we've gone back and forth on how we can put this thing out so everyone is happy.

"We wanted to start our own label so we could do everything on our terms but CM didn't wanna just let us go. Believe me, I feel for record labels in 2013. Pay all that money for recording and to push the record and people just download for free. So I see their side of all this. So after a lot of give and take, I think we put together a pretty crazy plan with CM that's going to catch a lot of people off-guard and stir the pot once again. Gotta feed the internet so they can shit out their keyboard diarrhea.

"All the details will be coming with one of those overly official press releases with a lot of stupid wording soon. Bear with us for a bit more. The new EP, 'Hard Lessons,' just came out on Reaper Records. Check it out." More...

Terror Cancels Czech Show

Terror is currently touring the world in support of latest release, "Keepers Of The Faith," hitting North America this month with Bane, Naysayer, and Rotting Out before heading over to Europe, then Ireland and the UK this fall-- but the group's impending stop in the Czech Republic has now been cancelled. In regards to this cancellation, Terrror comments:

"Terror is going to cancel their show in the Czech Republic this month. We feel obligated to stand up for Randy Blythe. This situation seems to be taken too lightly. Randy comes from punk and hardcore roots, just like Terror. He still supports underground music and has always supported Terror -- even singing on stage alongside us when we play Richmond. This hits really close to home for us having members of the band and our crew from the hometown of Lamb of God.

"We love our Czech fans very much and have amazing shows there, but we need to 'stick tight' to our friend Randy, which is why we have chosen to cancel the show. As a band that could easily be in this same position at any given show, we don't think we can play there and act like this is OK - it isn't.

"This is bigger than a hashtag or a clever t-shirt-- we as a community need to take action and speak up. Free Randy Blythe." More...

Dew-Scented Confirmed For Summer Breeze

This year's Summer Breeze festival will be taking place from August 16th - 18th, with full details available at the festival's website here. The organizers of Summer Breeze have now issued the following announcement about confirming new bands:

"Since the release of their amazing breakthrough album 'Inwards', Dew-Scented have been at the forefront of European thrash metal. Since then, the cool bunch led by frontman Leif Jensen have been producing fantastic albums full of unstoppable riff power and overwhelming intensity at nicely regular intervals, cementing the band's excellent reputation time and again. In 2012, Dew-Scented aim at kick-starting their career with an entirely new line-up – with the exception of band boss Leif – and the fantastic new album 'Icarus', and are gearing up to shatter the Summer Breeze Open Air into small pieces. We are stoked to welcome the indestructible machine called Dew-Scented at our festival once more. Get thrashed!

"When Agrypnie played the Summer Breeze festival in 2008 for the first and only time so far, they were booked as consolation for all those who were mourning the recent disbanding of Nocte Obducta. Four years, one studio album and one EP later, the Hessians have made a career for themselves, having now reached the same level as the aforementioned group. Their new studio album is still being recorded as we speak, but their last EP 'Asche' was already an announcement for big things to come in the realm of post black metal. Expressive, multi-faceted, melancholic, dynamic – all these attributes fit Agrypnie like a glove and are underlined by the fact that their songs don't ever become predictable or interchangable. One of the most exciting bands our scene has to offer nowadays."

The Summer Breeze 2012 bill now looks like: More...
