Terror Posts New Song, "Stick Tight," Online
LA’s TERROR has posted the new track, “Stick Tight,” on their MySpace page. The song comes off their new album, "Keepers of The Faith," which will be released on September 14th.
Vogel comments on the record, “It’s fucking crazy how this world works. We went to do a cool radio show on the third day of this tour and played a new song without even thinking. Hours later it was online so I guess we might as well just launch this new track everywhere. This way people can get the true version. The lyrics are on the blog too. I also just heard the test press of the 7 inch single for Keepers of The Faith and it sounds fucking great."
“This is the record we put everything we have into, from the music to the lyrics, the layout to the title and to the direct hand to hand street marketing approach, we are putting it all on the line. We took all the rules of what’s going on in the industry today and washed them from our minds. We wanted to capture those early days of hardcore. This is the record we were destined to make. This is TERROR at its best and I’m so excited to get this out and start touring surrounding its energy and passion.”

Terror Begins Work On New Album
Los Angeles, California based hardcore band Terror has announced that they have entered the studio to begin work on their next studio album. This will be the bands first release since 2008's "The Damned, The Shamed" and is expected to be released through Century Media Records towards the end of the year. The band also revealed that the name of the album will be "Keepers Of The Faith."
Speaking on the songwriting process, vocalist Scott Vogel commented: "Nick Jett (drums) wrote the last two records. We also have a new guitarist, Jordan Posner, who's writing some stuff because we really like what he's written, then me and Nick will go through the songs and figure out what we like and what we don't like, I'll write lyrics and put words to it, and in the end we have some good songs. Do that about 18 times and pick the 13 best, and put out a record!"
Bassist David Wood adds, "This album will be different for Terror. It's faster, maybe thrashier and a bit more melodic. I think it's going to be on a good street level, good hardcore reality. I'm really excited about it!"

NEMHF 2009 Adds Third Stage
The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will introduce an additional stage this year dedicated to up and coming bands.
The third stage, sponsored by Deathcote Records, will be located at Chasers Nightclub, located behind the Palladium on the corner of Martin Luther King and Commercial streets. The main festival will be taking place at the Palladium.
“There are so many great bands and not enough time to get all of them on during the course of two days,” said festival co-organizer Sott Lee. “Adding a third stage is a great way for us to showcase some of the developing bands and it’s a terrific opportunity for these bands to play alongside some of today’s top metal and hardcore bands.”
The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival will take place on Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, with the Atticus pre-party on Thursday, April 16. This year’s event is presented by Randall Amplifiers, Washburn Guitars and Eden Electronics. Metal Blade Records will present the main stage. Prosthetic Records will present the second stage.
The Atticus-sponsored pre-party will be a unique event that will be combining film and music, kicking off with a screening of official film sponsor Anchor Bay's film "Crowley," co-written by none other than Iron Maiden vocalist Bruce Dickinson. The provocative supernatural thriller is the tale of a virtual reality experiment gone wrong, sending the soul of the British occultist Aleister Crowley into the body of a shy university professor. But even as Crowley creates all-new orgies of depraved pleasures and black magic, he is now preparing to unleash the ultimate occult event upon the world. Also showing is "Anvil! The Story of Anvil," a sometimes revealing, sometimes hilarious documentary about the legendary Canadian metal band. The movie follows best friends Robb Reiner and Lips as they make a pact to rock together forever. Their band, Anvil, hailed as the "demi-gods of Canadian metal, " influenced a musical generation that includes Metallica, Slayer, and Anthrax, despite never hitting the big time. Following a calamitous European tour, Lips and Robb, now in their fifties, set off to record their 13th album in one last attempt to fulfill their boyhood dreams. The film will be followed by a performance by the band itself. The pre-party will also be held at the Palladium. Admission is free with a weekend pass or $15 for non-ticket holders.
Prices this year are $40 for Friday, $45 for Saturday or $79 for a 2-day ticket that also includes free admission to the kick off party on Thursday. Tickets are available at all Strawberries, FYE Stores, online at tickets.com or by calling (800) 477-6849. Tickets are available now.

Clenched Fist Signs To Double Or Nothing Records
DOUBLE OR NOTHING RECORDS has announced the signing of Memphis hardcore icons CLENCHED FIST.
Forming in 1996, CLENCHED FIST will release its second full length offering, fittingly titled "Just Like Roaches," this Spring as an exclusive digital download available through all major digital retail outlets.
"Just Like Roaches" is the highly anticipated follow-up to their classic debut full length CD "Welcome To Memphis" released in 2002 that single-handedly put the city of Memphis on the national hardcore map.
Seven years later, the original Tennessee Titans return with a sophomore release recorded at the world famous Ardent Studios in Memphis, TN - the same studio where Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top, Lynrd Skynrd, and Stevie Ray Vaughan cut some of the most legendary records of all time.
"Just Like Roaches" contains 10 tracks and is accented by guest vocals from Scott Vogel of Terror and Bryan Harris of Death Before Dishonor.
Three unmastered songs from the effort are currently available to stream on the bands official MySpace page now.
Terror Announces Guitarist Replacement
Los Angeles hardcore band Terror has just announced the departure of guitarist Doug Weber, who was “sick of living in a van 90% of each year and wanted to live a more normal life.”
In a MySpace blog, front-man Scott Vogel expressed his understanding, stating, “We can't really blame him for that decision, as there are times when I hate this shit too. It's a real wake up call for anyone that thinks touring is ALL fun or that Terror as a band have it easy in any way. I honestly thought that Doug leaving may have been the end for us. Doug had been in the band for a very long time and I was starting to feel that all the line-up changes might start to make us look like a joke, but Nick and Martin sternly told me that this is NOT the end and that we have a lot more to accomplish. So we pushed on, as always.”
The blog also reveals that the band have found an immediate replacement in Jordan Posner, former guitarist for influential Toronto hardcore band No Warning. “The only person we had even really talked about or spoke to about stepping up to fill the Big Man's shoes was our friend Jordan from the now defunct Toronto HC band No Warning,” Vogel says. “For anyone that knows me or has read interviews with me you'll know that I love No Warning and really all of Terror do. Jordan has proved to be an amazing songwriter and dude so we are excited about this change.”
Posner is the second No Warning member to join an influential hardcore band, with former vocalist Ben Cook becoming Fucked Up’s third guitarist last year.
You can catch Posner and his new band with the home court advantage when Terror pull up in Toronto for the Atticus Metal Tour on March 17.

Terror Provides Updates
Scott Vogel of Los Angeles hardcore/thrash metal band Terror has just summed up what's happened to them in 2008 and has announced what has happened so far in 2009.
"First, just wanted to thank everyone that made '08 another great year for Terror. We got to travel the world, put out a new record that I really believe may be our best and of course do a lot of hanging out and laughing."
"So I'm sure if you follow the band that you see we've had some line-up changes again. Buske leaving the band and David Wood stepping in on bass is semi old news but still news. David is a perfect fit for us. We wanted someone with youth and energy and we got exactly what we asked for. Buske has still been helping out the band however he can and was even spotted in the pit at our show in NYC for 'Betrayer' I believe. More...
