Latest Between The Buried And Me News
Below is our complete Between The Buried And Me news coverage, including columns and articles pertaining to the band. Some articles listed may be indirectly related, such as side projects of the band members, etc.

California goregrind maniacs Exhumed are infinitely pleased to be added to this year’s Summer Slaughter Festival lineup. While the festival’s full schedule and routing are still to be announced, the band is confirmed to share the stage with headliners Cannibal Corpse as well as Between The Buried And Me, Goatwhore, and The Faceless.
Said vocalist/guitarist Matt Harvey of the latest edition to their relentless 2012 tour cycle: “The hits just keep on coming for us this year. We are fully chuffed to be a part of the illustrious Summer Slaughter package. It's going to be awesome to get done playing early so we can concentrate on our true passion -- drinking! This hulking monstrosity of a traveling freakshow should be a mandatory thing for all the boils and ghouls out there, so we'll see you on the seemingly never-ending campaign for musical -- and just general -- destruction that we've been waging all over the planet since last April. Cheers!”
Exhumed today kick off the 16-date Grind Over Europe Tour with Rotten Sound and Magrudergrind. The group will later join Anaal Nathrakh for a short run of U.K. dates before returning to the states for a handful of headlining shows and a near month-long trek with death metal icons Cannibal Corpse. Joined by labelmates Abysmal Dawn and Arkaik, the live rituals will commence on April 5th in Jacksonville, Florida and include an appearance at the The Cincinnati Metal Fest on April 14th as well as a special show on April 28 where the brutal caravan will merge with the Decibel Magazine tour featuring Behemoth, Watain, The Devil’s Blood and In Solitude. More...
According to the tour's official Facebook, The Faceless will be touring alongside Cannibal Corpse and Between The Buried and Me this summer on The Summer Slaughter Tour. While there were some earlier hints, nothing was confirmed until now that The Faceless would be on the tour. No dates have been announced yet but will be posted as soon as they are known.
It has been announced through the official Summer Slaughter website that death metal veterans Cannibal Corpse and progressive death metal act Between the Buried and Me will be the two featured headline performers at this year's Summer Slaughter touring festival. The multi-band tour will kick off later this coming summer. An opening band for the tour will be announced each following Sunday beginning this weekend. Dates and venues are currently pending.
Cannibal Corpse will be touring in support of its forthcoming new full length album "Torture." "Torture" was produced by Hate Eternal's Erik Rutan, who has worked on several Cannibal Corpse albums, at his own Mana Recording Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida as well as Sonic Ranch Studio in Tornillo, Texas. In a free ranging discussion with Great New Metal founder and publisher Brian Shields, Between The Buried And Me's Paul Waggoner let's young musicians know that is takes more than just advanced software in a bedroom studio to earn the attention of metal fans.
"If you're going to commit yourself to being a musician, particularly in this genre, it's a blue-collar job," Waggoner tells Shields in a conversation recorded at San Francisco's Fillmore venue. "You have to get out there. You have to get on the road. You have to tour. You have to work hard. You have to hit the streets and play shows and people's basements and whatever you have to do to show people that you play your instruments and that you're not just a recording. You're a band."
Waggoner says that's one of the reasons he's joined other established metal musicians, such as Paul Masvidal (Cynic) and Brian Fair (Shadowsfall) in supporting Great New Metal, a music journalism project designed to create a buzz around up and coming metal bands, growing their audience, and helping them to monetize that new fan base. Watch the video interview below.

Prog-metallers TesseracT have filled their calenders with future tour dates. Before embarking on a massive North American tour with Between the Buried and Me, the UK act hits the road for a European headlining tour. Recently, the band completed an Australian tour.
"Australia was a revelation! We won't lie, it's not easy to get 'down-under'. 25 hours trapped in a tin can, hurtling at 600 miles an hour, 40,000 feet in the air over land and sea with nothing but your fellow passenger's flatulence and airline 'food' for company is hell. But the end goal was SO worth it! We were amazed at the response in each town, especially Melbourne. You guys really made the gig amazing," comments bassist Amos Williams.
"So what's next for us this year? First, we have a European headliner - the Lowering the Tone Tour 2011, with Chimp Spanner and Uneven Structure. Secondly, we return to the US and Canada this October as part of the 'Saints and Sinners' North American Tour. This bill is insane. We're gonna have to really be on the ball every night as the other two bands are masters of tech. After us will be Animals As Leaders. Tosin Abasi and Javier Reyes are probably the most exciting guitarists on the scene today. The pair are like aliens with super human skills and innovative ideas. Then headlining will be Between the Buried and Me...Intense and hugely energetic."
"We're so happy to be returning to the US and Canada re-visiting all our North American fans, and hopefully picking up a few new ones along the road!"
American progressive metal act Between The Buried And Me has revealed the dates for its upcoming headline tour of North America. The tour, which will feature support coming from Animals As Leaders and TesseracT, will begin in late October and will run through to December hitting 27 cities in the United States and Canada. "The Hypersleep Dialogues Trek" tour tore its way through North America and part of Canada over the course of a month, moving counter-clockwise from New York and ends up in Asheville, North Carolina tonight. As the name shows, Between The Buried and Me was supporting their new album, "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues," and they brought a solid lineup to Nashville with them – Job For A Cowboy and The Ocean. On their stop through Rocketown on Friday, May 13th, the bands played to a familiar crowd. Three years earlier, Between The Buried and Me had recorded their show here at Rocketown and released it as a live CD/DVD package – "Colors Live."
As the line snaked around the large venue, funneling in for about an hour, you could overhear discussions about the rarity of bands like Between the Buried and Me, Opeth, and others who "could do whatever they wanted, and I’d always love ‘em." More...
It is without a doubt that the hype and anticipation around the first ever headlining performance from Between the Buried and Me in Vancouver was huge. Having appeared in the city twice before as an opening act, playing only 2 songs in its first appearance and 3 songs the next, the BTBAM faithful were lined up two blocks deep outside the city's Rickshaw Theater hours before showtime, to catch a well deserved full length set. Although being the headline act the attention would soon be taken away from them by five guys from Germany, who would show Vancouver how live metal should be done. More...
