Illdisposed Part Ways With Guitarist
Danish extreme metallers ILLDISPOSED have issued he following update:
"On December 15th Martin [Thim, guitar] will play his last show with us. Martin doesn't have the time it takes to play with us anymore, his normal job and private life is his priority. He is the first ILLDISPOSED member ever who wasn't sacked. But Martin will still come with us on the road now and then and you might find him sleeping at the merch booth pretending to be selling our stuff. We have known Martin's decision since July. Within the next day we will reveal Martin's replacement.
ILLDISPOSED is currently mixing its new album at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden with Fredrik Nordström for a March 28, 2008 release via AFM Records.
Commented Jakob Batten: "The new album is recorded differently compared to the previous two albums. We didn't really cut into the tracks while recording so nearly everything you'll hear is first takes. We want it all to sound more raw and alive this time. A lot of the new albums you hear these days are so tight and over-produced that it doesn't sound like humans playing anymore and in the long run you get tired of it — I think."
The band's last CD, "Burn Me Wicked", entered the Danish album chart at position No. 58 in June 2006. The follow-up to 2004's "1-800 Vindication" was recorded at ZigZound Studio during November/December 2005 with producer Ziggy and was mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm studio.
Illdisposed Complete New Album Recording
Guitarist Jakob Batten of the Danish extreme metallers ILLDISPOSED has issued the following update:
"The recordings [for the new ILLDISPOSED album] are done!!! All drums, guitars, bass and vocals are now recorded. Next week we'll spend a day checking if everything's perfect or if something has to be corrected. Then we'll send the sessions to Fredrik Nordström so he can start mixing the album on December 3rd. Bo [Summer, vocals] and I will go to Sweden to mix with Fredrik.

"The front cover for the album will be made by Mattias Norén (who yesterday revealed that he will quit making album artwork). So I guess our cover will be one of the last covers you'll see him."

Illdisposed To Mix New Album w/ Fredrik Nordström
Denmark's ILLDISPOSED are working on the tracks for their next album, scheduled to be recorded this fall. Guitarist/songwriter Jakob Batten updates: "Sometime after the summer holidays we’ll enter our producer Ziggy’s new studio to get the songs on disc. And last week I booked Studio Fredman in Sweden with Fredrik Nordström to mix the album. Heavy stuff, heavy sound, membrane shredding tunes is what you can expect. It will be killer!"
Illdisposed Plan September Release
Illdisposed are anticipating a September release for their forthcoming album via Roadrunner Australia.
Commented by guitarist/songwriter Jakob Batten: "I have five complete songs ready now, they are recorded in my home studio (instrumentally) and I'm very happy about the result. Three more songs are in progress. This time we're going in a more old-school direction, more heavy bass-drum parts and way less electronics. We'll demo some songs very soon. The pick of studio for the next album hasn't been decided yet, but we definitely want a more raw and heavy sound this time."
The as yet untitled album will be their third for Roadrunner.

It's definitely a big honor for us to be a part of the Relapse roster, being among all bands who we look up to & work with people who are devoted to the scene. Illdisposed Bassist On Surviving The Tsunami
Bass player Jonas Kloge of Danish melodic death metallers ILLDISPOSED has checked in with the following message:
"I was in a restaurant when lots of hysterical people suddenly came running into the place. Everything was chaos and at first I didn't know what was going on. I went to the door and looked outside, at bit confused, the sight was shocking. Huge waves were filling the streets with water and the palms were breaking like matches. Water filled the restaurant and partly broke the staircase which led to the roof of the building. I climbed up the broken stairs and when I reached the top of the stairs I saw a woman and her 2 children struggling in the water under the stairs. I climbed down the stairs again, reaching out for one of the kids, carrying him up to the roof of the building where we were safe so far. Fortunately the woman and her other child were saved as well.
On top of the building I could see how the wave destroyed everything, houses crumbled and trees broke. When the wave disappeared we ran like hell to a nearby mountain where we spent the night."
In related news, no update has been given about NASUM vocalist/guitarist Mieszko Talarczyk since he went missing on Decemeber 27th.
