Chicago deathcore metal band, OCEANO, are quickly gaining notoriety as the angriest band on the planet and now, it seems, their anger is starting to rub off onto their fans.
At the band's recent gig on December 10th at the Chenga 57 indoor skate park in Lorain, Ohio, the aptly-titled "Seasons Beatings" tour took a much more literal meaning. OCEANO got the crowd so worked up that a full-scale brawl erupted during the band's set, even forcing front-man ADAM WARREN to stop the band mid-song.
"Everyone was moshing and getting a little crazy - just like always;" says the former backyard wrestler. "There were these kids around the pit that kept getting hit and didn't like it too much, so they went after the kids who were hitting them. It kept going back and forth and more and more kids were getting involved each time." More...

As previously reported, Liferuiner just recently inked a deal with Uprising Records.
Ontario, Canada-based straight-edge hardcore/metal act LIFERUINER has inked a deal with Uprising Records. "Uprising is extremely excited about working with LIFERUINER as it signals a return to the label's own roots, as well as being the first signing from their new A&R, and in association with imprint This City Is Burning," the company writes in a press release.
After releasing its debut album, "No Saints", which was produced/recorded by Antoinne Lussier (of ION DISSONANCE), LIFERUINER has opened for and supported a virtual "who's who" of the modern metal/hardcore scene over the last two years. Currently on tour, the band will break in February to record its Uprising debut, "Taking Back the Night Life", tentatively due in the spring.

Liferuiner will reportedly enter the studio in November to record a new album. The effort will be produced by Antoine Lussier (Ion Dissonance). No word yet on when or with whom the album will be released.
As previously reported, Liferuiner had signed a deal with Rise Records earlier in the summer, only to be dropped a week later because the label had heard rumours that Liferuiner "were ruthless and a violent band."
Several weeks after announcing a deal with Rise Records, Ontario's Liferuiner has been dropped by the label. The band comments:
"Some of you may have heard we signed to Rise Records. That was a very true statement, for about a week. Rise was incredibly excited, sent us a contract and we all signed it, but then later that week retracted the contract, saying they had heard rumours we were ruthless and a violent band. That being said, no we are not signed to Rise Records any longer. But hey it was a great week while it lasted. Don't think we're ready to throw in the towel! Because we are far from it. We're in talks with a label right now, and if all goes well we will update you very soon."
Canadian straight edge hardcore/metal outfit Liferuiner has officially signed with Rise Records. The band comments:
"We're incredibly excited to announce we've signed to Portland-based record label Rise Records. It's gonna be amazing to be sharing the label with the likes of Catherine, The Devil Wears Prada, American Me, It Prevails, and Drop Dead, Gorgeous."
The group's Rise Records debut will be recorded in November with producer Joey Sturgis (The Devil Wears Prada) and should hit stores in spring 2008. In the meantime, you can listen to some of Liferuiner's material here.
Toronto's LIFERUINER have officially joined the Tribunal Records family. Their debut album, No Saints, which was produced/recorded by Antoinne Lussier (of Ion Dissonance/Century Media Records) will hit the streets April 10th.
