German doom metal magazine Doom Metal Front, now on its tenth print issue as well, is streaming the newest and eighth of its renowned compilations. The anthology, titled "Tears from the Mediterranean," features 50 bands from southern European countries and Mediterranean island nations such as Malta. You may also stream the previous five compilations on that page and listen to the full tome below.
Doom Metal Front is an independent, bilingual (German/English), printed and digital paper spreading the doom over the world. They prefer sluggish riffing, slow rocking and experimental droning stuff, because they are 'born too late.' They ascribe to the belief that 'if you think this music is kind of paralyzing, then you are definitely too fast.'
Portuguese monolithic doom band Process Of Guilt is back three years after the release of "Erosion," re-emerging with "Faemin." That album is streaming over on Bandcamp, as well as in the player below. "Faemin" was mixed by Andrew Schneider at Translator Audio Studios in New York and mastered by Collin Jordan at The Boiler Room in Chicago). Process Of Guilt describes the album as building upon five concise tracks, shorter than the band's usual standards, but overall with more intense delivery.

One of the U.K.'s most promising extreme music prodigies, CAÏNA mastermind Andrew Curtis-Brignell, has issued the following update:
"Work on the next album continues apace — I'd estimate that I'm about 65% done. I can confidently say that it's easily going to be the best CAÏNA material to date, including the EPs that come out before it (not that they're shite, or anything though, haha)."
"Speaking of which, my track for the split with Portuegese kings of doom PROCESS OF GUILT is coming along nicely, although I'm late with it (sorry guys!). It's due out on 10" vinyl format through Major Label Industries very soon, and if you liked 'The Heart of the Master', then you'll hopefully like this, as it returns to some of the musical themes explored on that release, but ups the ante considerably. I'm currently mixing the main instrument tracks in preparation for the vocal recording, and hope to have it finished next week. PROCESS OF GUILT will be presenting you with a THIS EMPTY FLOW (cult '90s Finnish shoegaze act from the people who brought you THERGOTHON) cover on their side." More...
