The band recently recorded some demos with Kurt Ballou at Godcity studios and "are very stoked on the direction the songs are going." Fans can expect a new album to surface later this year via Deathwish Inc.

Additional information can be found here.
Roughly a year after initially announcing the release, Hydra Head Records is apparently finally close to reissuing material from The Huguenots. In the meantime, you can listen to a few of the band's tracks here.

Converge have posted the video for "No Heroes." The band had this to say about the video:
"This ambitious performance/animated video was created by Los Angeles area director, Ryan Zunkley. Using dramatic texture, lighting, and kinetic movement, Ryan assembled a vivid visual world for what the song and album represents. Successfully capturing the song's thematic battle between negative and positive."
You can check out the video here. The song is the title track on the band's recent release No Heroes.
Converge will not appear at three of their scheduled shows as a result of two separate issues. The group has provided the following explanation:
"After driving overnight to Poughkeepsie from Baltimore (and almost hitting hundreds of deer in the process...), we got word that 'Rhythmden' festival has been cancelled due to 'insurance' issues. Thanks to Subzero and On Broken Wings for getting the word out to us and other bands. We hope to be back in the Poughkeepsie NY area sometime in 2K7. While we were typing the above information, Jake received a call about a death in his immediate family. So he can attend the funeral and be home to support his family, we are canceling Philadelphia and New York City shows of the tour. The shows in Buffalo, Cleveland, Levittown, and Revere shows will go on as planned as he will be able to make those shows. Apologies to all the bands, kids, and promoters who are effected by the cancellations. We will make it up one day."

Cave In currently has no plans to reconvene anytime soon. Regarding the band's status, guitarist Adam McGrath states the following:
"Cave In's members are all presently living in different places and focused on different things. When your together for over ten years you tend to want to stretch with out each other. We are still brothers and continue to support eachother in all our musical endeavors. I don't know when or how but we WILL cross paths again."
Meanwhile, McGrath has also offered updates regarding his bandmates:
"- Stove has a new record coming out in November on Hydra Head. Stephen Brodsky's Octave Museum is the perfect album to drift off into the 16 bit landscape of warp zone's, minus worlds and triforces.
- Caleb has recorded a new record with Santos Montano of OMG fame. Zozobra's "Harmonic Tremors" will see the light of day in the near future on Hydra Head as well. It is a new FRONTIER of heavy music that will blow all minds.
- JR has been bashing away his drums with Doomriders. RIDE OR DIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He also has gone back to school to refine his computer hacking skills.
- Ben is currently on tour with the mighty Converge. The new record "No Heroes" is their most savage and ferocious work in years. Everyone reading this should go check out why Converge is presently the undisputed greatest American hardcore band.
