Cripple Bastards To Record New Album
Italy's Cripple Bastards has checked in with the following announcement about recording an upcoming new album:
"Cripple Bastards to enter studio Fredman this Sunday to start recording a new full-length! 5 long years have passed since our previous 'Variante alla morte' CD/LP saw the light.
"But time has finally come for a new full length, and we're stoked to announce that our recording choice is once again Studio Fredman in Göteborg, Sweden headed by Mr Fredrik Nordstrom (At The Gates, The Haunted, Septic Flesh, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir and tons more).
"Follow us here for more updates about the recording progress that will come along from June to the end of the summer. In the next few days we'll open the new official Cripple Bastards website too!"

Cripple Bastards To Release New 7" EP
Italy’s grind demons Cripple Bastards are set to release a brand new 7” EP entitled "Senza Impronte" and according to a press release, features their "fastest, most aggressive and pissed off material to date."
The limited edition EP is the band's first recording for new label Relapse Records and is set for an April 24th release with pre-orders available here. A brand new Cripple Bastards track from the EP is currently available for streaming via the official Relapse Podcast here.

Maryland Death Fest Day Two
On Day Two, the scene had changed. The street in front of the club had been shut down and made into the fest grounds. One stage was at each end of the street, just over the length of the building. I won’t say that the festival had a lot of space; we were kind of worried about bands overlapping and drowning out each other’s sound. But the rigs for each stage were so loud that that would prove impossible. Vendors also lined up between the two stages selling boxes of vinyl, CDs, and even some cassettes. There were t-shirts galore with hideous pictures and illegible logos. I was really amused by the black metal face-painting stand where you could choose from KISS, Immortal, King Diamond, and your other favorite corpse-painted rockers. Inside Sonar was a new merch room that was so constantly crowded and oddly arranged, it kind of looked like a beggar’s village with really cool wares for sale. Maryland Deathfest To Go On At Sonar As Planned
The Maryland Deathfest organizers report that "Sonar will be re-opening before MDF, and technically they already have."
As previously reported, the venue of the Maryland Deathfest was up in the air when Baltimore's Sonar nightclub failed to renew their liquor license and closed its doors.
The organizers futher commented: "These last couple of days have been incredibly confusing and stressful, but we are currently back to the regularly scheduled program. And don't worry, beyond plan B is a plan C, because that's how we roll. See you in a couple of weeks."
As such, the set times that were previously announced should now hold.

Maryland Deathfest 2011 To Change Venues
The ninth annual Maryland Deathfest has announced the final lineup and set times for the event. However, not long after announcing these details came word that the Baltimore venue, Sonar, unexpectedly closed its doors today. The festival organizers claim to have a backup plan that should involve little to no inconvenience to ticket holders (even those coming from out of town) and will be releasng more details soon.

Autopsy Confirms Festival Appearance
Legendary California death/grind act Autopsy has announced its participation in the upcoming edition of Neurotic Deathfest. The festival appearance is in promotion of its forthcoming EP, the first batch of new material to be released in over a decade. The EP, titled "The Tomb Within," will be released on CD and LP on September 13th, 2010 through the Peaceville Records webstore, with a street date planned for later in the fall.
Neurotic Deathfest it set to take place April 29th and 30th, 2011 at 013 and MIDI theatre in Tilburg, Holland.

First Bands Confirmed For Maryland Deathfest 2011
The organisers of the Maryland Deathfest have announced the first ten confirmations for next year's edition of the festival. Among them are recently reunited death metal outfit Exhumed, reactivated groove metal instigators Exhorder and Italian grindcore veterans Cripple Bastards, as well as Impaled Nazarene, Repugnant, The Kill, Wormed, Blood Freak, Cretin and Nightbringer. The festival will take place from May 27th-29th. Stay tuned for further information.
Venomous Concept Announces First U.K. Tour Date
Venomous Concept (featuring Danny Herrera and Shane Embury from Napalm Death and Kevin Sharp and Dan Lilker from Brutal Truth) are set to play their first U.K. show at the Camden Underworld in London on November 15th. Support will come from Cripple Bastards and All Will Suffer.
Los Angeles Murderfest 5.0 Taking Shape
Tickets are now on sale for the fifth annual Los Angeles Murderfest, set to take place May 9-10, 2009 at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood, California. Visit losangelesmurderfest.com for information on how to buy tickets.

Slimewave 7" Series To See CD Release
Relapse Records will issue a CD release of the entire SLIMEWAVE 7" series with exclusive bonus material on September 2nd (September 8th internationally).
The SLIMEWAVE series was a collection of six limited edition split 7" releases from twelve of the sickest and most extreme bands in the metal/grind underground. Artists included in the series include recent Relapse signees MUMAKIL as well as INHUME, MACHETAZO, TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION, ANTIGAMA, ROT, JAPANISCHE KAMPFHORSPIELE, BATHTUB SHITTER, XXX MANIAK, and THROATPLUNGER.
The SLIMEWAVE CD will include all 44 of the tracks released via the 7”s as well as previously unreleased material from ANTIGAMA, CRIPPLE BASTARDS, MACHETAZO, SUBLIME CADAVERIC DECOMPOSITION, and TOTAL FUCKING DESTRUCTION. For more information on this release, visit this release page.

Cripple Bastards Sign To Shane Embury's Label
FETO Records (the label owned and run by Napalm Death bassist Shane Embury) is pleased to anounce another new addition to our roster - that of Italy's Cripple Bastards. Cripple Bastards have built a strong fanbase over the years, their dedication and perserverance in the scene is to be admired and FETO are proud to welcome them onboard.
Expect their new album on FETO in Spring of 2008.
General Surgery Confirmed For Portugal's GrindFest
Legendary Swedish grindcore merchants GENERAL SURGERY and Italy's CRIPPLE BASTARDS are the first two confirmed acts for Grindfest 2008, set to take place February 2, 2008 in Recarei (near Porto), Paredes, Portugal. More bands will be announced soon.
