Terror Provides Updates

Scott Vogel of Los Angeles hardcore/thrash metal band Terror has just summed up what's happened to them in 2008 and has announced what has happened so far in 2009.

"First, just wanted to thank everyone that made '08 another great year for Terror. We got to travel the world, put out a new record that I really believe may be our best and of course do a lot of hanging out and laughing."

"So I'm sure if you follow the band that you see we've had some line-up changes again. Buske leaving the band and David Wood stepping in on bass is semi old news but still news. David is a perfect fit for us. We wanted someone with youth and energy and we got exactly what we asked for. Buske has still been helping out the band however he can and was even spotted in the pit at our show in NYC for 'Betrayer' I believe. More...

Unearth To Use Replacement Guitarist On Tour

Unearth guitarist Buz McGrath has issued the following statement:

"Greetings All, I just wanted to take this opportunity to explain my absence from the upcoming UNEARTH tour with Emmure, Impending Doom, and Born of Osiris.

My wife and I are in the process of adopting a baby, and currently we are overseas taking the final steps to begin our new roles as parents. Not to worry though, as filling in for me will be the extremely capable hands of Emil Werstler of DAATH fame. He is also know in some circles as SHREDDY KRUEGER, so be sure to peep his skills.

This line up of bands is beyond sick, so do what you gotta do to get to the show!! I will be back soon to resume my duties in UNEARTH, shredding like a chimpanzee on angel dust."

Unearth front man Trevor Phipps had this to add: "Everyone can rest assured that we will be playing a full set throughout the "Fuck School, Fuck Work, Let's Rage! Tour". We are lucky enough to have the services of Emil Werstler, so we won't miss a beat. All of us in Unearth want to congratulate Buz and Dawn on their family addition. "

Emmure And Endwell Trade Responses On Tour Issue

Emmure has addressed Endwell's removal from the "Mosh Lives Tour," which Emmure is headlining. Here's the update from Emmure:

"Let me first start by saying we as a band have been friends with these guys for a while so this is in no way partial to one side or another. Some of you may have noticed that Endwell has been removed from The Mosh Lives Tour. I'd just like to clear up a few things and set the record straight.

"This is a respctable tour with respectable bands and band members. This is our tour and us as Emmure must make sure that this tour is not hindered by immaturity since we are responoble for 6 bands 36 people and all their actions.

"Endwell has been surrounded and plauged with bad decision making since day one. As youll recall they were kicked off a bayside tour as well for lack of any morality, respect, or loyalty to the people that were helping them and were supposed to be friends with.

"They are quick to talk shit but what they won't tell you is that when they first got signed to victory they were pumped they loved it they wouldn't even help us out and get on a show when we needed it because they said they weren't a local band anymore and they couldnt just do that. Victory put them in a Hollywood recording studio for over a month which excessivly exceeded their budget and time. They were provided with one of the top directors for their music video and put in every major music magazine... You would think they would be thankful.

"After their record bombed to put it gently they started getting pissy and blaming everyone underneath the sun except for themselves which seems to be the trend of that band. And all but 2 members quit.

"Before this tour started we started hearing how they were talking shit about us and our record which we confronted them about and they confessed and with a good heart and them being our supposed friends we let it slide and kept them on he tour. The very first day they show up they have a shirt they are selling that is blatantly a slap in the face to victory records and us.

"I don't know if they are just fucking dumb or naive but how the fuck do you show up to a victory records band headlining tour with that type of shot and think its funny? And expect for it to be ok and get away with it?

"Despite what they say they dug their own grave and did this to themselves noone is the bad guy in this except them despite their best efforts to tarnish the face of victory records their true colors really shine through on this one and its just a new low in a bands carreer that doesnt need to get any lower

"Don't shit where you sleep or your gonna wake up in shit."

Endwell then fired back: More...

Endwell Kicked Off The Mosh Lives Tour with Emmure

Endwell has been kicked off of The Mosh Lives Tour that Emmure is headlining. Here's and update from the band:

"First off, we want to apologize to everyone who was planning on coming out and seeing us on the MOSH LIVES tour but unfortunately as of yesterday (Tuesday May 27th) we have been kicked off of the tour because of a T-Shirt....yep that's right. Apparently some people can't take a joke. We were stoked for this tour and looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends and playing some fun shows. Without getting into all the details well leave it at this; some of our good friends receive an email from a certain Tyrant telling them that if we weren't removed from the tour immediately that they would have hell to pay and the outcome was us being asked to leave the tour. We basically drove 30 hours straight to meet up with the tour in Texas and now 2 days later were driving 20 hours back home, it was a good waste of a few hundred dollars in gas.

"Needless to say we're beyond bummed....either way you guys should still go out and support the Mosh Lives tour. There are some great bands and its a great show everynight. We want to thank Recon, After The Burial, Ligeia, Emmure and On Broken Wings for being cool dudes and hopefully we'll get back out there with a few of you again at some point.

"All in all this is just another bump in the road and were not gonna let it slow us down. Our new EP (Revenge Is A Healthy Motive) came out today on Itunes and through our online store, were heading up to Canada in 2 weeks with our pals in MEANS and OCEANS and then right after that we head out on a FULL US tour with Stray From The Path and The Ghost Inside starting in Cali in July. Can't hold us down.....if any hardcore bands are reading this and wanna go on tour hit us up!!! We're gonna be doin our full length at the end of the summer and we're not looking to be home..EVER!"

You can see the shirt design (which appears to be taking a jab at Victory Records, who recenlty dropped the band) in question that got the band kicked off the tour on their Blogspot page.

Victory owner Tony Brummel previously commented on the band's release:

"There is no drama here. Bands and labels go in opposite directions all of the time. Endwell and I are totally cool and they knew about this last week. They are young guys and understandably a bit shocked still and emotional. They know that I will help them in any way that I can in the future. Who knows, we might even end up working together again."

Darkest Hour Forced To Cancel Remaining Dates

DARKEST HOUR guitarist Mike Schleibaum has posted this bulletin on the band's MySpace page:

"DARKEST HOUR regrets that we have to cancel the last remaining days of our Doomsayer's North American Tour. However, all of the shows will go on as scheduled (with THE RED CHORD headlining New York City, NY, and Allentown, PA) except for Washington, DC, which has been outright canceled.

The tour has been an amazing time but, guitarist Kris Norris has been summoned home to attend to the early birth of his first little baby. It is with great joy that we wish Kris and his wife Christina luck with their new addition to the family.

Sometimes when you live out on the road life back home has to be put first. We couldn't have asked for a better tour package on this tour and our hearts go out to EMMURE, WHITE CHAPEL, and CEPHALIC CARNAGE. We only hope to be blessed with their mighty rock again sometime soon.

Utmost, we apologize to all the fans, friends, dudes and dudettes out there in (NY, DC, and PA). We will be back to make it up to you for sure! We will see ya this summer with a surprise that we can't wait to
announce."
