The "Reckless and Relentless" tour, featuring headliner Asking Alexandria, is rolling forward despite being banned from Nashville venue Rocketown, and rolled right through The Cannery after a quick re-scheduling. The night of April 12th saw a flock of younger audiences out for the 6pm show, with an average age of about 16 years old. Unlike most other Nashville metal shows, they didn’t allow drinking and had thorough pat-downs at the doors. Nevertheless, the crowd sure looked like they had a good time. The bands backing Asking Alexandria were Chiodos, Emmure, Evergreen Terrace, Miss May I, and Lower Than Atlantis.
Alternative Press and RED Distribution have launched a series of mini AP magazines exclusively for Hot Topic through 2011. EMMURE graces the cover of the mini-mag that is out now, featuring over 45 pages of news, photos and music from the band for only $4.99.
This limited edition mini-mag includes a double-sided locker poster, a terrycloth wristband and 21-track bonus CD featuring music from Emmure, Bayside, Funeral Party, Vampires Everywhere!, A Day To Remember, Architects (UK), Black Veil Brides and more.
Emmure's newest release, "Speaker Of The Dead" debuted at #65 on the Billboard Top 200 chart last week. While many bands are hungry for their big break, Taco Bell is helping to satisfy their hunger for food by helping to pick up their late-night dinner tabs. Today, 100 bands and artists were announced as the 2010 Taco Bell Feed the Beat lineup, including The Acacia Strain, Emmure, and Every Time I Die. The fifth annual Feed the Beat program, which provides bands with $500 in Taco Bell Bucks while on tour, received more applications than ever before. Taco Bell issued the following statement about the program:
"Every touring band can relate to eating on the road and Taco Bell has become essential to keep artists rocking while on tour. Taco Bell’s late-night menu offers a variety of items to conquer any band member’s appetite. Recognizing this, Taco Bell began Feed the Beat to fuel bands with Taco Bell Bucks ($500 in Taco Bell Bucks per band) so they can focus on their true passion: music."
"The beauty about Feed the Beat is that the bands lead the way for the program – they tell us what they want and we are more than happy to supply it," said David Ovens, Chief Marketing Officer of Taco Bell Corp. "We admire all of the Feed the Beat bands and are especially excited to see those like Never Shout Never go from an up-and-coming artist when he joined Feed the Beat in 2008 to a headliner on the 2010 mtvU VMA Tour."
