Emmure Posts "Flag Of The Beast" Video

With the release of a seventh full-length record quickly approaching, Emmure today unleashes a brand new music video for the song "Flag of the Beast," which is featured on the upcoming album "Look At Yourself" (due out March 3rd on Sharptone Records).

Discussing the process behind the making of the new music video, Emmure front man Frankie Palmeri states: "I was very happy with the video we did with Aaron Marsh. He came to me with a vision based off his interpretation of the song, and he brought it completely to life. He wanted to give me an audience that becomes ultra violent or possessed by the lyrics of the song.

"'Flag of the Beast' represents the idea that I am in fact some sort of evil deity in some peoples eyes, but on the same coin I am sort of an anti-hero. It is about myself and how I view people that have exited my life or have looked at me like I’m not on the right path. It is about being the epitomy of all things that are against the grain. You can hate me if it makes you feel better, but I am not going anywhere." More...

Emmure Cancels European Tour

With heavy hearts, notorious NYC deathcore mob Emmure announced today that the group's upcoming U.K. and European dates have been postponed. Emmure put out the following statement on Facebook:

“To our European supporters, it is with our most sincere apologies that we will need to cancel the upcoming Torch The Earth tour. Upon the initial planning of this tour our goal was to return to Europe in 2017 pairing a new record with the tour. Unfortunately some unexpected delays have hindered our chances of releasing the record in this time frame.

"We appreciate that our fans understand how important this release is to us, it is a record we have put so much effort into on every angle, and we feel we would be selling our fans and ourselves short if we compromised the overall release of it.

"We promise to be back at a later time in 2017, and with a brand new record. Refunds will be available at point of purchase for all cancelled shows.”

Emmure recently announced a worldwide signing to SharpTone Records / Nuclear Blast for the release of the band's 7th studio album, due in early 2017. More...

Reasons Why Your Band Sucks And Will Never Make It

When I browse around for unsigned bands, it's hard to find one that I like. Mostly since most unsigned bands lack a record deal for a reason. It's that your band just plain sucks horses. There are exceptions and there are bands who never get a record deal who deserved one but most of the time, most bands just suck too much to ever go anywhere.

Here are the main reasons why I've hated nearly all unsigned music that I've listened to. More...

Pit Stories: Emmure Ruins A Whole Tour

It's time for another bout of Pit Stories, and this week we find out about how Emmure ruined an entire tour for German band Annisokay (but what goes around comes around, as Emmure also just cancelled a tour due to health issues...). Annisokay shared this tale from the pit:

At a time where things really started rolling with the band, we went to an Emmure show in our hometown. While the rest of our band watched the show from a chilling place in the back, our drummer, who was a huge Emmure fan at this time, went to the first row and was more then excited to mosh to their songs. However when the first song started, something really bad happened to his right foot. He doesn’t really know what, but the pain was horrible.

When he made his way back to us out of the pit, the Emmure set was already half way through. He took of his shoe and his foot was double the normal size. A later visit in the hospital confirmed our worries. He fractured his feet and had to wear a plaster for many, many weeks. A whole tour had to be cancelled, but our drummer learned to play our songs with his left foot only, so the damage to the band was kept relatively small.

However, our own shows usually have a lot of pit action going on, including huge wall of deaths or stage dives even by our own front man Dave. It’s really good that we nearly never heard about any bad injuries that happened to our crowds yet.

The new Annisokay album "Enigmatic Smile" dropped today - April 14th - via Long Branch Records/SPV. Check out a music video off the album below. More...

Emmure Front Man Issues Update On Vocal Problems

After Emmure's Frankie Palmeri announced he had torn his vocal chords and would be missing one show, he has now issued the following update about the status of the band's current tour with Suicide Silence:

"Hey everyone, Frankie here again. Just wanted to update you on my voice situation. First off.. the support and love I saw come from you guys was really incredible and I can't thank you enough for your understanding and concern.

"After returning to the stage last night in Nebraska, I decided it was best to really get a grasp on how much damage there is to my voice and whether or not I can actually continue on with the tour.

"I got the chance to see a doctor today in Des Moines, Iowa and was advised by a ENT specialist to not scream for at least the next two weeks. This was devastating news.

"But with that being said... that does not mean we are canceling and that does not mean I will not be on stage to deliver the best show possible regardless of my condition...

"I am highly depending on you, our fans. To come and help me get through these next couple weeks and really take part in the short time we have on stage as we support Suicide Silence on this 3 week long tour.

"And just in case anyone thinks I am full of shit I added the photos of my diagnosis from today's doctors visit. Again...this is just to keep you informed on how I am doing and to remind you all that that we are NOT canceling anymore shows and despite my condition I will be up there to perform and reconnect with all of you amazing supporters." "I experienced a major tear in my vocal chords and my only chance in finishing the tour is to sacrifice getting to see all of our supporters tonight.

"We love you all... this does not put the breaks on our current or future obligations but, I am human... these things happen." More...

Emmure Offers Up "A Gift A Curse"

Emmure today delivers "A Gift A Curse," the fourth video from the album "Eternal Enemies." Director Ievgenii Nozhechkin discusses clip:

"I wanted to show the music of Emmure as something that does not have an end, that it goes deep inside every single person, and something that will be alive after us.

"Art touches the hearts and souls of so many people so it cannot be stopped or destroyed. Additional details of the video are destroying the pieces of art as a strong symbol of destruction of the past inside of you. Destroying the old, we enable new birth."

Emmure will also be hitting the U.S. for a trek with Suicide Silence starting February 17th in Santa Cruz, CA. More...
