Nachtmystium To Release Live Album
Nachtmystium has announced plans to release a new live album recorded during the band's 2010 performance at Tilburg, Netherlands "Roadburn Festival." The band commented by saying:
"Our experience at Roadburn was truly one of a kind. Never have we been treated so well by organizers of any festival or tour we have been a part of, and it was truly a blessing to work with the kind folks behind this amazing festival. I’d also like to thank Ron van Herpen from Astrosoniq / The Devils Blood and Teun van der Velden from Astrosoniq for stepping in on very last minute notice to help us out with the lead guitar and synthesizer duties for this performance. Without these two gentlemen, our show would not have been what it was.
"For your information, these two guys had THREE HOURS of practice with us EVER, on the day of the show none the less. We had not met them in person previous to the day of the show. They’d been asked to help us out (due to some unfortunate circumstances with a member of Nachtmystium having to leave for home mid-tour) about nine days before our performance at Roadburn. Both of them learned the entire set from the album recordings of the songs we played in these nine days, and then had a three hour window in the afternoon on show-day to rehearse with us as a full band.
"I was (and still am every time I listen to this recording) completely blown away by how well both of these guys played. Their attention to detail was incredible, and we the band are eternally grateful for their services for this performance. So, we hope anyone listening to this recording enjoys it as much as we enjoyed performing it!"
The live album will contain the following track listing:
Side A:
1. Away From The Light
2. Your True Enemy
3. Ghost Of Grace
4. Life Of Fire
5. A Seed For Suffering
6. Chosen By No One
Side B:
1. Hellish Overdose
2. Cry For Help
3. High On Hate
4. One Of These Nights
5. Assassins

Kreator with Voivod at The Bottom Lounge
Thrash is back. After dying off in the 1990s and returning in the mid-2000s it's finally returned, with four of five bands playing coming from metal's most headbangable genre. And it was a very special night given that two of the bands touring were originally local bands, one based in Kenosha, Wisconsin and the other from Wheaton, Illinois which proves that the Chicago metal scene has finally come into its own rather than simply live in the shadow of Ministry and Disturbed. Kreator and Evile Pack Nokia Theater in New York
On March 6, 2010 I went to see Kreator perform at the Nokia Theater in New York City. I was very eager to see Evile, Voivod, and Kreator. I have been a fan of Kreator for some time now, but have only heard one album, “Extreme Aggression.” Evile is a band I was interested in seeing because I have their demo, but have yet to explore much outside of what is on their MySpace page. Voivod has been recommended to me by friends, but I’ve never taken the time to properly explore them. When I arrived at the venue, Lazarus A.D. started playing. More...

Kreator Comments on North American Tour Dates
Mille Petrozza, front man & guitarist for German thrash stalwarts KREATOR, shares an update on the band’s upcoming North American tour. The 23-date trek coincides with KREATOR’s 25th anniversary and launched yesterday March 3rd at Jaxx in West Springfield, Virginia:
“Right now we are rehearsing our new 2010 anniversary set list. There’s a lot of new stuff that we had to re-learn, some songs we haven't played in a while, plus different stuff from the last album we didn't play at shows in 2009. Thanks for the thousands of votes in our forum regarding the anniversary set list! Of course we can’t play all the requested songs in a ninety minute set, but there will definitely be some tracks that may surprise a couple of you, so be prepared!
"Looking forward to playing with our long-time friends in Voïvod again on our upcoming tour. It will take us all across North America and Canada once again. Can’t wait to see Evile, Kataklysm, Nachtmystium, Lightning Swords of Death and Lazarus A.D., as well. This will be a night of total violence, so be there!!!"
"Also, a big THANK YOU to our German fans for making Hordes Of Chaos 2009's ‘Record of the Year’ in Germany’s most important magazine - Rock Hard! Ihr seid die besten!” More...
