Final Bands Announced for Barge To Hell Cruise

The Barge To Hell is just days away from departure and final band announcements are being made. The cruise sets sail Monday, December 3rd, 2012 from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas and returns on Friday, December 7th, 2012.

Just announced are Novembers Doom, Vital Remains, Brujeria and underground acts Abiotic, Zanthropya Ex, and Dark Sermon. The organizers also report that both the German and Canadian incarnations of Necronomicon will be in attendance.

With the announcement comes some bad news that Six Feet Under has had to cancel their appearance due to a scheduling conflict with their studio and needing to have their new album delivered in time.

You can still book a trip on the Barge To Hell.

Exodus And More Confirmed For Barge To Hell

The organizers of the Barge To Hell cruise have issued the following announcement about confirming Exodus, Seita, Havok, and Necronomicon:

"Let the world-wide EXODUS for BARGE TO HELL begin! Paying tribute to their global customer base, they've also added: SEITA from Brazil and The Netherlands, HAVOK from the USA, NECRONOMICON from Germany and HEADCRUSHER from Colombia!

"Barge To Hell's customer service team is working around the clock to get everything ready for those that are booked to perform online check-in. Booked passengers can expect to receive their online check-in invitation on Monday.

"The madness begins on December 3rd, when 40 of the most extreme Metal Bands and 2,000 headbangers from all over the world will go to the Caribbean to take over a luxury cruise ship for a 5 day and 4 night trip to the undead! See each of the 40 bands play two live shows on two different days. That's 80 shows with unrestricted festival access to the three stages, each with it's own unique atmosphere:

- The luxurious 'A Chorus Line' theater where they spare no expense to have the benches removed on the floor. Because at a Metal show, who actually wants assigned seating in front of the stage?

- The cozy 'Spectrum' that gives you the real club feeling.

- And their jewel: The open air stage on the pool deck. The biggest festival stage to sail the Oceans.

"You can also get all your memorabilia signed at the Meet & Greet sessions. Be part of their infamous Metal Karaoke and many other special activities with the Artists. And last, but not least: Don't forget that they have bars on board that never close! What are you waiting for? You might even need a vacation from this vacation when all is said and done."

The following 35 bands have now been confirmed: More...

Nachtmystium Comments On Upcoming Shows

Having recently released new album "Silencing Machine" (reviewed here), Nachtmystium is now ready to bring the band's unique brand of black metal to fans on the Barge To Hell. In regards to upcoming appearances (as well as the group's cancelled North American tour with Jarbo), the band comments:

"Nachtmsytium fans on the east coast: we ARE coming out for three shows in a little over a week and finish with a fourth one in Chicago! Then we will be appearing on the Barge To Hell metal cruise ship going from Miami, FL to Nassau, Bahamas and back. Playing alongside Sodom, At The Gates, Mayhem, Rotting Christ, Moonspell, Morgoth, Napalm Death, and many, many many more awesome bands!

"A full U.S. tour WILL be happening sometime between January and April, 2013. Sorry to any of you hoping to catch us on this run. The tour was doomed from the get go in a lot of ways due to things unrelated to the band or our ability to tour. Just poor timing, nothing more, nothing less. We will be doing a thorough US tour early in 2013, so look for us coming to your city soon...And anyone out in the areas we're playing in a week or so, we look forward to seeing you at the shows!"

11/18--Baltimore, MD @ Ottobar
11/19--Brooklyn, NY @ St. Vitus
11/20--Pittsburgh, PA @ Ironworks
11/21--Chicago, IL @ Ultra Lounge
