New Jersey metal band Whiplash has announced a show in Brooklyn New York at Club Europa on Friday September 18th. Also playing the show are Virginia's At War, Deathrash, Black Anvil, Sweden's Enforcer, Canadian's Cauldron, Undivided, and Vermefug.
Reactivated New Jersey thrash metal band Whiplash has announced that they will be performing a special hometown show on June 20th at Dingbatz. Support on the night will come from Deathrash, Ashes Of Your Enemy, Gas and Arch Demon Choir. Whiplash will be releasing their "comeback" album, "Unborn Again" later this year.
Bassist/founding member Pat Burns of the reunited New Jersey thrashers DEATHRASH has issued the following update:
"We got word last weekend that a video from our Sept. 27, 1986 show at The Grunge Club has surfaced! This is excellent news as we have been looking for a copy since we got back together. We are going to have it transferred to DVD and post some songs on our website and MySpace page.
"The Grunge Club was a warehouse in Middletown, NY where our old friend Mark Johnson used to put on shows. We played there a few times and it always RAGED! The shows really captured the DIY spirit of the times — no stage, no light show, no bullshit. Just original bands giving it all they've got for a couple of hundred crazed thrashers!
"Tracks from our Grunge Club shows will be on the 'Thrash beyond Death' CD. We'll keep you informed as things develop with the CD and video postings! More...
DEATHRASH is currently working on their CD "THRASH BEYOND DEATH" which will include their 1986 widely acclaimed long out of print demo "FACES OF DEATH"; '86-'87 live tracks from CBGB's NYC, The Grunge Club NY, The Electric Banana PA and Club Hell NJ as well as new tracks "Unfinished Business" and "Thrash Beyond Death". There will also be a 2006 update of our song "Buried Alive" which appeared on the 1986 New Renaissance Records compilation "Speed Metal Hell 2". This will be most peoples first chance to hear DEATHRASH classics like "Feel You Die", "No One Is Innocent" and "Heart Of The Darkness".
