Beneath The Sky Posts New Music Video

Beneath The Sky has premiered the new music video for "Terror Starts At Home" through BloodyDisgusting.com. "The song is about a fan who came up to me after a show and told me this awful story about her father who had raped her. On top of that, she contracted an STD; my mind was blown." singer Joey Nelson exclaims, "I couldn't imagine something happening like that. This song is a tribute to her, and many of the other victims who are helpless and desire revenge. This song is their anthem, their outlet, their hand-holding the knife and cutting the mother fucker's dick off." The video, which can be viewed below, was produced and directed in house at Victory Records and filmed at the Victory Records Headquarters in Chicago.

Too Pure To Die Kick Off Headline Tour

Too Pure To Die have announced a full US headlining tour with Beneath the Sky (Victory), White Chapel (Metal Blade), and Impending Doom (Facedown) starting this Friday! This tour will put them on the road with several noted death metal bands, and the diversity is a positive challenge, tells guitarist Jordan Peterson, "These bands are all on fire and we are looking forward to the diverse and enthusiastic audience." The band just finished up a tour with All that Remains, The Acacia Strain, and Protest the Hero, which was successful tells Peterson because, "We got a lot of new fans from this tour, all the metal kids that we were worried about totally loved us, and we had the crowd captivated. We could see the boost in our fan base by Myspace plays alone." These two tours are very contrasting in scope and audience, but that's what the band likes, tells Peterson, "Whether we are playing big venues with All that Remains or smaller places like VFW halls, it doesn't matter, we just love playing." Indy Metal Fest Sponsor Shakes Out, Fest To Go On

Just days before this high-voltage metal event takes off, one of the sponsors of the Indy Metal Fest backed out of the deal. Indie label Chavis Records (home to Sonic X and Quiet Riot), who has offered a hand in sponsoring the event since April, has failed to mandatory fees and has left presenting sponsor Blind Prophecy Records to pick up their bill. Now that Chavis has been knocked off the event, the stage at Birdie's Live will no longer be called the Chavis Records Stage, but will rather take on Blind Prophecy's name instead.

The event, powered by Blind Prophecy Records, is slated to cram two venues with over a dozen prime metal acts, including Obituary, Alabama Thunderpussy, Daath, and Blind Prophecy's very own Years of Fire and Pain Principle.

On Saturday, September 22, Indianapolis Metal Fest will blast off in the KOC Grand Ballroom (all ages) and across the street at Birdie's Live (21 and up). Official band time slots will be posted in the coming weeks at indianapolismetalfest.com. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 day-of-show.

Victory Records Announces New Signings

Victory Records has announced the signing of A DAY TO REMEMBER and BENEATH THE SKY, two bands that promise to challenge the conventions of rock and expand the barriers of the cutting edge.

With an average age of 18.2, Florida's A DAY TO REMEMBER will enter Boston's Zing Studios (UNDEROATH, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE) in October to record their Victory debut. The band formed in early 2003 and developed their distinct brand of melodic punk/metal, which came to fruition on an album released last year by Indianola Records. The CD sold over 8,000 copies through word of mouth and the band's rigorous road work of almost 200 shows in the last year. The quintet of singer Jeremy McKinnon, guitarists Neil Westfall and Tom Denney, bassist Joshua Woodard and drummer Bobby Scruggs are one in the same with the people that come to their shows. When asked about their concerts, Josh says, "We have a really good live show and put off a good energetic vibe. You have the hardcore kids who want to dance and have a good time, and the girls and pop kids who want to sing all the catchier stuff." The band's dynamic, hybrid sound is often described as a mix between FALL OUT BOY, SILVERSTEIN, NEW FOUND GLORY and UNDEROATH.

Cincinnati's BENEATH THE SKY formed over two years ago and will enter the studio in September to record their debut album with Jason Suecof (TRIVIUM, THE AUTUMN OFFERING). The band's brutal blend of metal intensity, catchy melodies, crushing breakdowns and impassioned vocals have an addictive quality that many hard music artists do not successfully capture. They have established themselves through constant touring across the Midwest and Eastern U.S. along with a fantastic following on the Internet that has led to virally infectious word of mouth.

BENEATH THE SKY is: Joey Nelson - Vocals, Jeff Nelson - Guitar, Chris Profitt - Guitar, Matt Jones - Keytar, Nick Scarberry – Bass, and Brandon Sowder - Drums.
