Warbringer Announces New Drummer Carlos Cruz

Despite practicing and writing together the last two months, WARBRINGER has official announced that Carlos Cruz (Hexen) is their new drummer. The delay in announcement was out of respect to their old drummer and Carlos' former band mates and there was no question about Carlos' playing, songwriting or personality as the band ironically offered Carlos the spot in 2008.

"After years of putting forth nothing but blood, sweat, and tears into my tireless ambitions for playing music, I have finally found an outlet where no more time is wasted. It was flattering to have been approached by Warbringer the first time they made a personnel change in 2008, but this time around it couldn't have felt more like perfect timing," states Carlos. "They're a collective group of humble, open-minded, down-to-earth guys who share the same fanaticism for music as I do and are the tightest musicians I have ever played with. I've never felt so welcomed and inspired to move forward. Even past members of the band have congratulated me and it feels very much like family, not just another band. From some recent serious downfalls in my personal life came this beautiful opportunity and I couldn't be happier. We'll be seeing all YOU Warbringers out on the road soon!"

Carlos will be making his live debut in Mexico City on March 5th at the Eyescream Festival alongside Asesino, Anvil, Toxic Holocaust and Abigail Williams. WARBRINGER plan to record their third album in April with more live shows in May and June.

Toxic Holocaust Enters The Studio

Toxic Holocaust has entered Dexters Lab in Milford, CT to begin work on the follow-up to "An Overdose Of Death…." The band is recording with Toxic Holocaust / Kingdom Of Sorrow drummer and engineer Nick Bellmore. The new full-length is expected to see a late spring 2011 release date. Additional release information will be announced shortly.

Toxic Holocaust front man Joel Grind recently checked in from the studio with the following: "We are on Day 4 of recording the new record, everything is coming together quickly and smoothly. Drums are finished and we have started on guitar tracks. I’m excited for people to hear this new stuff, its not going to alienate old fans by any means but I think it might attract some new ones. It’s definitely a step up from what we've done, and this time around we've increased the evil ten fold. The lyrics on this record are a little darker including lots of occult themes as well as real life shit that is stranger than fiction could ever be.".

Skeletonwitch Issues Tour Recap

Skeletonwitch has issued the following recap of their recent tour dates with The Black Dahlia Murder, Children of Bodom, and Toxic Holocaust:

"After more than 15,000 miles, 8 stitches, and countless beers... we're back from tour. We've had a few days to chill out and finally face the hangover that 60 days of partying kept putting off. Now, a huge thank you is in order: It was an unforgettable experience. Seeing the Canadian Rockies..... that was a first......seeing 3/5 of The Black Dahlia Murder Naked.........well.....we never wanted that to happen. But I suppose you take the good with the bad!

"Thanks to Children of Bodom, The Black Dahlia Murder, Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, and all of the crew. We had an absolutely killer time and every single person involved couldn't have been cooler. Thanks brothers! Most importantly we would like to thank everyone who came out to the shows and partied with us! Without YOU we could not do this. (And trust me....we're really fucked if we can't do this! It's all we know!) The support is massively and genuinely appreciated. Thanks for the good times and we hope to see you on the road again soon.

"Up next is European decimation w/ Toxic Holocaust and Goatwhore! Fucking stoked!!"

Toxic Holocaust Causes Controversy In Nashville

Toxic Holocaust and tour partners The Black Dahlia Murder are at the center of a heated debate amongst Nashville, TN’s most conservative residents about the bands’ performances tonight at the Christian-run Rocketown venue. A news segment from Nashville’s ABC network affiliate WKRN, Channel 2 chronicling the controversy can be viewed here.

Toxic Holocaust's Joel Grind commented on the situation: “Unfortunately, the protesters here don't see the tongue-in-cheek aspect of any of this, and are taking everything at face value. What else is new? Whatever you do don't look into or research anything, and don't, god forbid, think differently. Fuck it, while we're at it, don't think at all. To clear a few things up, there was a news clip that showed our video 'Nuke the Cross' and then directly cut to lyrics for a song called 'Hang the Pope.' Even though we did record a cover of that song on our first demo, that song is actually by Nuclear Assault. I think that was done intentionally to make the story have more impact and more shock value. More...
