Joel Grind, the lead vocalist and guitarist of american crossover thrash metal outfit Toxic Holocaust has posted a message online thanking the bands fans for their continued support and updating them on the current status of the band. The message reads as follows:
"I just want to say thank you to all the die hards that have been supporting us, coming to shows, etc. You are why we do this.
"This year has been insane, we've basically been on tour non-stop and its been a great time. From the 3 INCHES OF BLOOD/EARLY MAN tour which kicked off the year, through the NAPALM DEATH, HATEBREED, SATYRICON and BLACK DAHLIA MURDER tours, thank you for coming to see us!
"In two days we will be starting our European tour with GOATWHORE and SKELETONWITCH and it will be the last tour for us this year. I hope to see all my old friends over there and meet some new ones.
"Next year is shaping up to be amazing. Expect a Toxic headlining tour and a new record (currently working on new songs and they are ragers)!!"
Skeletonwitch has issued the following recap of their recent tour dates with The Black Dahlia Murder, Children of Bodom, and Toxic Holocaust:
"After more than 15,000 miles, 8 stitches, and countless beers... we're back from tour. We've had a few days to chill out and finally face the hangover that 60 days of partying kept putting off. Now, a huge thank you is in order: It was an unforgettable experience. Seeing the Canadian Rockies..... that was a first......seeing 3/5 of The Black Dahlia Murder Naked.........well.....we never wanted that to happen. But I suppose you take the good with the bad!
"Thanks to Children of Bodom, The Black Dahlia Murder, Toxic Holocaust, Trap Them, and all of the crew. We had an absolutely killer time and every single person involved couldn't have been cooler. Thanks brothers! Most importantly we would like to thank everyone who came out to the shows and partied with us! Without YOU we could not do this. (And trust me....we're really fucked if we can't do this! It's all we know!) The support is massively and genuinely appreciated. Thanks for the good times and we hope to see you on the road again soon.
"Up next is European decimation w/ Toxic Holocaust and Goatwhore! Fucking stoked!!"

Toxic Holocaust and tour partners The Black Dahlia Murder are at the center of a heated debate amongst Nashville, TN’s most conservative residents about the bands’ performances tonight at the Christian-run Rocketown venue. A news segment from Nashville’s ABC network affiliate WKRN, Channel 2 chronicling the controversy can be viewed here.
Toxic Holocaust's Joel Grind commented on the situation: “Unfortunately, the protesters here don't see the tongue-in-cheek aspect of any of this, and are taking everything at face value. What else is new? Whatever you do don't look into or research anything, and don't, god forbid, think differently. Fuck it, while we're at it, don't think at all. To clear a few things up, there was a news clip that showed our video 'Nuke the Cross' and then directly cut to lyrics for a song called 'Hang the Pope.' Even though we did record a cover of that song on our first demo, that song is actually by Nuclear Assault. I think that was done intentionally to make the story have more impact and more shock value. More...
In the heart of Cajun Country in Louisiana is a small town called Lafayette. The town is not only famous for being the place of my birth and raising, but occasionally, it has some kick-ass concerts (I guess in honor of me.) But anyway, the latest in the series of great shows was a visit from the Decimation of the Nation Tour featuring an amazing lineup of Toxic Holocaust, Dying Fetus, Winds of Plague, Chimaira and Hatebreed. Anyone lucky enough to be in the vicinity of this tour could not help but go to the local bar and witness their town being decimated with some of the best metal musicians of our day. More...

"We are sorry to those who were looking to see us in the next few weeks with Slipknot. Unfortunately Slipknot has cancelled the tour. This has forced us to cancel our headlining shows in Pocatello, ID and Sioux Falls, SD as well. We hope to make up the dates as soon as our touring schedule allows. We will still be playing tonight in Spokane, WA at the Big Dipper. Again we apologize to anyone who was planning on coming out, its completely out of our control. Hopefully we will see some of you when we're out with Children Of Bodom and Skeletonwitch in Sept/Oct or on our headlining tour with Skeletonwitch, Toxic Holocaust and Trap Them in Oct/Nov.
