Triptykon Confirmed For Bloodstock 2011
Triptykon, the band led by former Celtic Frost and hellhammer mainman Tom Warrior, has been confirmed to perform at next year's edition of Bloodstock Open Air in Derbyshire, England. This will be the band's only performance in Great Britain during the year. Also performing at the event will be Norwegian black metal legends Immortal and power metal outfit Rhapsody of Fire. The festival will be held between August 12th to 14th.

Rhapsody Of Fire Confirmed For Bloodstock
Rhapsody of Fire has been confirmed for the Bloodstock festival, which takes place from August 12th – 14th in the U.K. Rhapsody of Fire's Luca Turilli comments: "Hail to you, dear brothers and sisters! We are so excited to announce you that we agreed with our English friends an exclusive presence as special guest for the Bloodstock festival of next year in UK! It will be our first live appearance ever on that wonderful ground and we are looking forward to playing our greatest songs and to have together a great time in the name of Rhapsody of Fire’s epic cinematic music. Rhapsody Of Fire Announces New CD Details
Rhapsody Of Fire is set to release a new CD entitled "The Cold Embrace Of Fear – A Dark Romantic Symphony" on October 15th, 2010. Guitarist Luca Turilli commented on the release:
"For this special CD we composed a unique song of around 35 minutes divided in 7 'acts.' Looking at the title you can easily imagine that such long and epic song will show the most cinematic and orchestral side of our band, all our passion for the world of cinema we love so much and that always represented our main influence while composing the Rhapsody's music. Essentially it is a long huge song, sounding very symphonic, full of orchestral sections very soundtrack oriented, narrations and spoken parts.
"More than in other cases we tried to create a real movie atmosphere with very dynamic musical results, also thanks to the help of the English actors that gave voice to different characters. Crystal Viper To Appear On "Metallic Dawning"

Rhapsody of Fire Issues Update
Italian power metallers, Rhapsody of Fire, issue the following update:
"First of all thank you for all the patience you had in these last times despite the lack of news regarding the band."
"We wanted to inform you that we are in the middle of a hard legal fight with MCM and his main representative Mr. Joey De Maio.
That’s the reason why in the last months we had to keep all strictly confidential and could not release any official declaration that could obviously be used against us from the opposite side. And that’s also the reason why we were constricted to stop completely our band’s activity. Frankly we are not able to imagine if all this can end in a very close future but we want to assure you that we are ready to fight with all the strength of body and soul in order to protect yours and our beloved band. Yes, aside from these bad events we ask you to not lose your faith in us. As soon as this sad situation will be solved we’ll be ready for a great and mighty come back. A new album, a real masterpiece of speed/epic metal, is already composed and ready to be recorded and after its release an immense worldwide tour will finally follow for yours and our extreme satisfaction."

Rhapsody of Fire Cancel South American Tour
Italian power metal band RHAPSODY OF FIRE (formerly known as RHAPSODY) has cancelled its previously announced dates in South America which were scheduled to take place this month.
Commented the group in a statement: "It was not at all the band's decision to cancel the South American tour planned for December 2007. We can not enter into further details right now. The band excuses itself from the problems created to all the people and RHAPSODY's fans that already bought tickets and that had to face a bad surprise when discovering that the tour was cancelled. The band was looking forward to performing in South America after many years of absence from the glorious continent and we hope to be able to play there as soon as possible. Peace and love to all of you."

Manowar To Headline Magic Circle Festival
Throughout Manowar's legendary career, the band has delivered on its promise to return to each country where the band has performed. Still, the sold-out Schleyerhalle crowd was unprepared for what bassist Joey DeMaio would announce as he stepped to the front of the stage.
On July 7, 2007, Manowar will headline the Magic Circle Festival in the heart of Germany, Bad Arolsen.
The crowd was thrown into a further frenzy when the bassist announced that festival tickets will cost only 10 Euros.
"It is a way to thank the true fans for their undying loyalty during the last two years of unfortunate delays of touring and record releases," explained DeMaio.
The band's Schleyerhalle performance was part of the sold-out Demons, Dragons & Warriors Tour 2007. The tour, which also features Manowar's Magic Circle Music roster mates Rhapsody of Fire and HolyHell, is in support of Manowar's10th studio album, Gods of War, the latest installment in the band's legacy of classics. Germany, Greece, Hungary and Finland are just a few of the countries where the album remains in the top-20.
Look forward to the approaching Magic Circle Festival, DeMaio declared, "This is the unique beginning of something designed for the loyal fans of true metal."

No Gods Of Metal Festival This Year?
announced that the promoters of The Gods Of Metal have reported that, due to financial constraints placed upon their company, the festival may not take place in 2007.
As a result, they will not honor their original agreement made with Magic Circle Management for what would be MANOWAR's 4th headlining appearance, bringing with them RHAPSODY OF FIRE as special guests and the Italian debut of HOLYHELL. As a side note,
MANOWAR holds the record of headlining the Gods Of Metal Festival more times than any other band. MANOWAR and Magic Circle Music would like to clarify that they are in no way responsible for the cancellation of next years MANOWAR's performance.
MANOWAR bassist Joey DeMaio says, "We wanted to inform fans as soon as possible so that they would not purchase tickets expecting to see MANOWAR perform at the festival. The promoters have, in the past, been known as men of honor and our trust in them went so far as to allow them exclusively to announce our appearance for 2007. We as a band understand that our Italian fans will surely be disappointed, but make no mistake about it. This was not our decision. We too are disappointed. We have been preparing a very special show just for our Italian fans and we will now seek every opportunity to bring this massive show to Italy. We will never let our fans down."
Rhapsody Change Name To Rhapsody Of Fire
Italy's so-called "film score metal" band Rhapsody has changed it's name to Rhapsody of Fire. The band have posted the following message regarding the change at their official website:
"Due to copyright and trademark issues the band formerly known as Rhapsody has changed its name. The band members consider this a great new start, reflecting the emboldened and increasingly grandiose direction that their music has taken. “The power of the dragonflame will burn brighter than ever before,” says guitarist/songwriter Luca Turilli. Keyboardist/songwriter Alex Staropoli adds, “The name Rhapsody Of Fire better represents the energy that has always been present in this band and its music.”
With a new record company in Magic Circle Music, a new tour planned and a new album on the way, Rhapsody Of Fire will continue to explore musical fantasy worlds with the precision musicianship and unique symphonic concepts that their fans have come to expect and adore. Fresh on the heels of the band’s first live album release, Live In Canada 2005 - The Dark Secret, a new name and renewed vigor ensure that Rhapsody Of Fire still hold the passion and power that have always been associated with their music."
