Maruta Completes Work On New Album
Miami, FL's Maruta have finished up work on their new album, and second for Willowtip Records, entitled "Forward Into Regression." A release date has been set for February 22, 2011. Germany's Power It Up Records will be releasing a gatefold LP version. A release date for the vinyl is TBD.
Vocalist Mitchell Luna comments, "So we finished wrapping up full-length number two, and I can honestly say that we are all very proud of the outcome. We took the same open minded approach to grindcore as we have on our previous recordings, but incorporated a couple new surprises. The end result sounds more relentless, and I personally feel that it is a well rounded record that is equally emotional as it is abrasive. Stoked for it to drop!"
The album was recorded at Florida's Mana Recording Studios (Hate Eternal, Cannibal Corpse, Nile) by engineer Brian Elliot. It is Maruta's first release with their new line-up. Drummer Daniel Morris and bassist Mauro Cordoba joined the band in early 2010.
Maruta Recruits New Drummer
Miami's Maruta have just announced the addition of Danny Morris to the band's ranks as their new permanent drummer. Vocalist Mitchell Luna had the following to say:
"We are all happy to announce that the search for a new drummer is over, and that Maruta is now 100% operational again! Danny is a solid as fuck drummer, and met all of the high standards that we were looking for in a new skinsman. He blasts hard and does some really creative stuff on the drums that will bring our sound to a new level. We are pretty picky bastards and this dude definitely keeps up with us musically"
Maruta is set to enter Mana Recording studios next month, to record the follow up to 2008’s "In Narcosis" for Willowtip Records.. This will also be the first time the band incorporates a bass player into their sound.

Bands Confirmed For 2009 Auditory Assault Festival
The official 2009 Auditory Assault Festival website has been updated with the following information:
"Auditory Assault will take place at Club Europa located in Greenpoint Brooklyn, NY. 98 Meserole Ave
"Our original intention was to have the fest take place in Manhattan, but we discovered that most clubs don't like any outside promoters and are asking for way too much of a rental fee. To put it plainly, most clubs wanted so much that even if their venue was filled to capacity we wouldn't have enough money to pay the bands based on our desire to keep the ticket price reasonable. Europa is not an extremely big venue, so it's recommended that you get an advance ticket when they go on sale before the end of February

Bolt Thrower has released this bit of news regarding their first trip to the USA in 14 years:
"Due to the fact that we are not real festival lovers or great fans of flying, the chances of us ever coming to the States for a one-off show was always very small. But after years of relentless emails from Ryan we've finally given in. It's hard to believe that it's been 14 years since we last played in the US, so we are very happy to announce that we are finally coming back. Bolt Thrower will be playing Maryland Deathfest VII, on May 22-24, 2009, at Sonar, Baltimore, MD."

Maruta Offer New Album Update
Florida’s MARUTA have posted the following update:
“The ‘In Narcosis’ album has been delayed quite a bit. We had to re-record guitars for a couple songs. We encountered some engineering problems the first time around, and we weren’t able to get a decent enough mix that we/Willowtip wanted to release. It’s in the process of being mixed/mastered by Scott Hull right now, hopefully this damn thing will be able to see the light of day in a couple months. We started recording it in late 2006 which is crazy! I know we jumped the gun before by announcing it would be out alot sooner, but alot of shit has been out of our hands.
We are still waiting to hear on the release date for ‘This Comp Lills Facists vol. 1' comp that Relapse is putting out. It’s gonna be a killer compilation with some great grind bands older and newer. Two exclusive MARUTA tracks will appear on it: ‘Chemical Tomb’ (which can be heard in our MySpace page) and ‘Behind The Steel Curtain.’
"The out of print 4 song demo is being re-released as a 7" by ourselves in the U.S. (731 Bacterial) and by Extreme Terror Productions in Europe. This is going to be a very DIY release, the covers will be silk screened in various different colors. Alex Eckman Lawn will be handling artwork duties. This 7" will be strictly limited to 500 copies in the U.S. and 500 in EUR." More...
Maruta Seeking New Bass Player
Florida metallers, MARUTA, is currently in search of a new bassist. The band comments:
"We are looking for a serious musician with their own equipment, must drive, and have some serious motivation to play our kind of music. We have a couple tours coming up and a bass player with some sick distortion would be nice. Contact us if you are 100% interested in jamming. And if you think Job For A Cowboy is heavy, don't bother replying."
Maruta Post Another New Song Online
Floridian grinders MARUTA have posted a new song entitled “Dirt Worshiper” over at their official MySpace page. The track comes off their forthcoming new album, In Narcosis, which will be released next year via Willowtip Records.
