Fresh off the Sounds of the Underground tour, MADBALL have announced a headlining tour of the U.S. The New York hardcore heroes will hit the national circuit with support from WALLS OF JERICHO, MISERY SIGNALS and FULL BLOWN CHAOS. This tour will be the band's first following the release of their new full-length and first for Ferret Records, entitled "Legacy", this August. Produced by Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL), the album is the largest sounding MADBALL record while retaining all the signature grittiness of their live shows. True to its name, "Legacy" is the perfect stone monument to hang MADBALL's name on. A video for the song, "HeavenHell", directed by Dale Resteghini (THE DILLINGER ESCAPE PLAN, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE), will premiere on "Headbanger's Ball" when the band takes over as guests on the episode airing on August 13. The episode promises to be an informative one as host Jamey Jasta is a longtime fan and MADBALL were one of the first bands to take HATEBREED on tour early on. The video will also premiere on Fuse TV's "Metal Asylum", which will have the band on as guests on an episode airing the third week of August. More...
On July 26, I got the chance to attend the Sounds of the Underground tour when they stopped in Vancouver, BC. The show was originally scheduled for the Pacific Coliseum but was moved to the PNE Forum, which is a lot smaller. My guess was that the ticket sales didn’t do very well. More...

MADBALL Seek Extras For 'HeavensHell' Video - May 31, 2005
New York hardcore legends MADBALL will be shooting a video for the track "HeavensHell" with director Dale "Rage" Resteghini (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, MUDVAYNE, UNEARTH, AGNOSTIC FRONT, MISERY SIGNALS) at Kenny's Castaways in New York City on Saturday, June 4 and are seeking extras to appear in the clip. The filming will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. Kenny's Castaways is located at 157 Bleecker Street in New York City.
As previously reported, MADBALL recently inked a deal with Ferret Records. The band entered the studio earlier in the month with producer Zeuss (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL, THROWDOWN) to begin recording their new album, "Legacy", tentatively due on August 2.
MADBALL's current lineup includes vocalist Freddy Cricien, bassist Hoya, guitarist Mitts and drummer Rigg Ross.
Regarding the new MADBALL material, Cricien had previously said, "To the fans, personally I feel like it's our best material. It's still heavy, it's still in your face and talks about real life, but it also has groove and really heavy production."
New York City hardcore band Madball has officially signed with Ferret Music. Formed in 1989, the group has released albums with Roadrunner Records and Epitaph Records, among others. Here's a statement from Ferret owner, Carl Severson:
"I remember skating back from Vintage Vinyl in NJ with Mike Olender (future vocalist of Burnt By The Sun) after picking up the first Madball EP on vinyl. I couldn't wait to get home and play it, I've bought every album since and I still feel the same, I can't wait to hear the new album! Ferret is a young, aggressive label and Madball is still a young, aggressive band ready to take over the world."
Madball's new album, "Legacy," will be recorded in May with producer Zeuss (Hatebreed, Shadows Fall). Says vocalist Freddy Cricien of the new material: "Personally, I feel like it's our best material. It's still heavy, it's still in your face and talks about real life, but it also has groove and really heavy production."
