Drowning Pool just wrapped up a string of tour dates celebrating the re-release of the "Sinner" album, and now the band is raising money for heart disease research. The group had this to say:
"We'd like to thank all of our hardcore DP fans and everyone who came out to the Sinner 13th Anniversary shows this year. We appreciate you!

Platinum Texas rock outfit Drowning Pool has been touring in support of the "Sinner" album, which was reissued last week in 2-disc deluxe edition format via The Bicycle Music Company/Concord.
On their way through the great state of Nevada, the guys stopped at Nellis Air Force Base in the Mojave Wasteland. A great time was had by all as the band hosted a huge meet & greet, honoring our active military and veterans.
In a band statement, Drowning Pool says, “It's always a pleasure for us to have the opportunity to support our troops. We've been fortunate this year on our Sinner 'Unlucky 13th Anniversary' tour to hit a few bases across the county. Our recent visit to Nellis Air Force Base has definitely been one of the highlights. Such a great group of people that organized the visit, and like always, it was such an honor for us to sign and take pictures in support of our air man and their families. We appreciate the organizers at Nellis AFB for giving us the full tour! Besides our meet & greet/signing, we had the amazing opportunity to watch the Thunderbirds air show. Amazing! Insanely talented pilots. We look forward to future base visits and our continued support of our troops.”
Lt. Jonathon Lee and Sgt. Anthony Caldwell commented on the visit before the band arrived, stating, “I think it's awesome of them to help us out and show their support for the military, and I can't wait to meet them, I think they are stand up guys.” Caldwell also adds, “I'm here to see Drowning Pool and I think it's amazing that they are out here at Nellis AFB, pretty cool that they are supporting the troops.” More...
Wayne Static will be co-headlining throughout the United Kingdom and Russia with Drowning Pool early next year. The tour kicks off on January 8th in Ekaterinburg, Russia and wraps up in Bristol, England on January 25th.
Wayne will be playing his 1999 Platinum album "Wisconsin Death Trip" in its entirety while Drowning Pool will perform the complete Platinum debut album "Sinner." Wayne Static comments:
“What can I say... It's been far too long since we've played the UK and this will be our first time in Russia. To say I'm excited would be an understatement! For those of you still wondering what to expect from my solo band, don't fear, we're still bringing the Evil Disco with a ton of classic Static-X and a couple from my solo record, Pighammer. I have the best band ever backing me up and the shit's on fire! Add our friends Drowning Pool to the mix and this is gonna be an awesome tour!” More...
Drowning Pool is set to release the two-disc "Sinner (Unlucky 13th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)" on 11/11/14 via The Bicycle Music Company/Concord.
The band will also launch the corresponding Unlucky Sinner 13 tour performing "Sinner" in its entirety beginning October 21st in San Antonio, Texas.
The expanded reissue of debut album "Sinner," originally released on 6/15/01, represents the definitive version of Drowning Pool’s classic Dave Williams years, whose untimely death in 2002 at the too-early age of 30 marked an unlucky end to a rising star.
"Sinner (Unlucky 13th Anniversary Deluxe Edition)" is re-mastered and features a new bonus disc of 13 studio demos direct from the band’s vaults, officially available for the first time.
The unreleased track “Soul,” from disc two, was serviced to the Active Rock radio format just a few days ago and a video for “Soul” will premiere in November featuring rare and never before seen footage of Drowning Pool from the "Sinner" era. Pre-orders for this new version can be found at Amazon.com here.
Australian outfit A Breach Of Silence is pleased to announce the band will be joining Drowning Pool as support on the Unlucky 13th Anniversary Sinner tour.
The tour will kick off on October 22nd in New Orleans, and is scheduled to wrap up November 26th in Joplin, MO. Other support acts are Like a Storm and Red Tide Rising. See below for tour dates.
“Drowning Pool has always been one of my favorite bands, and the 'Sinner' album was a big influence for me,” states A Breach Of Silence guitarist Mat Cosgrove. “We’re really honored that they’ve allowed us to be a support act, and we can’t wait to come to the states and tear it up alongside them each & every night!”
A Breach Of Silence also just premiered a new track entitled "T.P.N.E." from upcoming sophomore album "The Darkest Road," which will be released on October 7th through Eclipse Records. Give it a listen (thanks to Pure Grain Audio) here: More...

The band also announced the official recruitment of new vocalist Jasen Moreno during the Summer. Drowning Pool is:
Jasen Moreno - Vox
CJ Pierce - Guitar
Stevie Benton - Bass
Mike Luce - Drums
Drowning Pool split with third vocalist Ryan McCombs late last year, and now guitarist C.J. Pierce has issued the following announcement about officially recruiting new singer Jasen Moreno:
"It's been a real pleasure for all of us working with Jasen Moreno. He jumped right in and stepped up to the plate. He's everything we hoped for in a singer. Jasen came in and got straight to work on new music for our next CD.
"Out of respect to all past singers and most importantly the Drowning Pool fans he learned every song from every CD we've made in the past as well. Jasen has brought us not only a new voice but a new fire to the Drowning Pool sound. We all can't wait to get the new music out to there to everyone.
"With the live show, we just did a two week run and I have to say, I haven't had this much fun in over ten years. It's really great playing a lot of old songs and jamming some of the new tunes as well. I think some of my favorite moments on this run is when fans come up and request songs and we can play any song from any CD for them.
"Looking forward to the rest of our career with Jasen. The singer switch is finally over!"
Drowning Pool has announced the band is parting ways with current singer Ryan McCombs. The Texas band, which has worked with 3 singers in its 10 year career, issued the following statement:
"We have always been a band who has gained success despite having multiple singers...maybe we suffer from reverse 'lead singer's disease," said C.J. Pierce. "Changing things up has not always been easy, but the band has become re-energized time and time again. We are looking to find a new singer who will give both us and, and most importantly our fans, the new adrenaline shot they deserve." He went on to say, "We do wish Ryan great success in his future endeavors." McCombs, who had been part of the band since 2006, replaced singer Jason Jones, who joined Drowning Pool following the tragic passing of Dave Williams.
Drowning Pool is currently looking to find a suitable replacement for McCombs. In the meantime, the band has already begun writing for a 5th studio album in the group's hometown of Dallas.
Drowning Pool is C.J. Pierce – guitar/ vocals, Stevie Benton – bass/vocals, and Mike Luce – drums/vocals.

McCombs recorded three albums with SOiL ("Throttle Junkies," "Scars" and "Redefine.") before leaving the group in 2004, joining Texas based alternative metal band Drowning Pool a year later.
"The UK has always been a true home for Soil" states bassist Tim King. "To also have Ryan (McCombs) singing and to be sharing the stage with Puddle Of Mudd will be something special for both us and the fans.”
“After the fantastic reception we got at Download this year, we’re excited to be coming back for our first proper UK run in years,” commented Puddle Of Mudd lead guitarist Paul Phillips. “We played a bunch of shows back in the day with SOiL so it’s gonna be nice to be on the road with them for this run.”

Texas modern metal/hard rock act Drowning Pool has posted a follow-up statement online in response to the recent Arizona shooting tragedy:
"We'd like to thank our fans for all of their support yesterday, and once again offer our thoughts to the victims and their families.
"Jared Lee Loughner is clearly a very disturbed individual.
"The Washington Post ran an article on 'Bodies' and the Tucson shootings. But instead of telling the whole story, the writer decided to edit what we had to say in order to make it seem like we were somehow responsible for what happened last weekend. He left out some really important facts.
"Where did the part about us performing for the troops go? Where was the mention of us helping to pass a bill in support of our soldiers?
"If you want to let readers form their own opinions of who we are and what we support, include all of the info!
"We find it inappropriate to imply that our song or rock music in general is to blame for this tragic event. It is premature to make this assumption without having all the facts in the case. It is just as likely that this horrible act was caused by the irresponsible and violent rhetoric used by mainstream media outlets such as the Washington Post.
"Listening to Drowning Pool music does not make you a bad person. Misleading people does."
The band's previous statement cant be read at this location.
Texas modern metal/hard rock act Drowning Pool has posted the following statement online in response to the recent Arizona shooting tragedy:
"We were devastated this weekend to learn of the tragic events that occurred in Arizona and that our music has been misinterpreted, again.
"'Bodies' was written about the brotherhood of the mosh pit and the respect people have for each other in the pit. If you push others down, you have to pick them back up. It was never about violence. It's about a certain amount of respect and a code.
"We've performed for the troops overseas several times in places like Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait. Through our song 'Soldiers', we were able to create a petition that helped pass the Lane Evans Mental Health Care Reform Bill, which we presented to then-Senator Barack Obama.
"We've been lucky enough to have some of the biggest success of our career with our new album and we want to continue to spread positivity for the future, not dwell on negativity. For someone to put out a video misinterpreting a song about a mosh pit as fuel for a violent act shows just how sick they really are. We support those who do what they can to keep America safe.
"Our hearts go out to the victims and their families of this terrible tragedy."
