Norwegian act Allfader has issued the following update about parting ways with Osmose Productions and working on new material for an upcoming release:
"Hey, it's about time we gave you an update! A lot has been happening lately. First, we'd like to sum up the past few years:
2006 - At Least We Will Die Together released via Osmose Prod.
2006 - Per Valla leaves the band (John inherits guitar duties)
2010 - Finn Henriksen moves an 18-hour drive aways, and leaves the band
2011 - Black Blood Flux released via Osmose Prod.
2012 - Per Valla is officially back in the band after performing as live guitarist for the better part of a year
"It's obviously quite a big deal when integral band members leave. Finn was a founding member and contributed immensely to the band's musical prowess. Still, we wish Per a sincere welcome back, and we're very much looking forward to letting our creative forces find new paths together. If you haven't already done so, we urge you to check out the other bands Per has been involved with the past years: Vredehammer and Elite. More...
Osmose Productions has issued the following announcement about releasing a new album from Norway's Allfader:
"Allfader's second full-length album has been in the making for three years, and Black Blood Flux is without a doubt these Norwegian's strongest work to date. The band has matured as songwriters and musicians, and combined once again with the powerful production of Jacob Hansen this makes for an epic album which will please old fans, and grab unsuspecting listeners by the balls.
"Allfader's sound remains instantly recognizable, but with Black Blood Flux the band's traditional heavy metal influences are stronger than ever. In all its heaviness, the album sounds very organic and is completely stripped of synthesizers and clean vocals. The result is a rawer, more aggressive and focused sonic expression.
"Allfader has also secured a guest appearance from Tony Tunheim (Enslavement of Beauty) on the songs 'Draconian Command' and 'Torn From Flesh', where he contributes two stunning guitar solos.
"The amazing artwork of Black Blood Flux was created by Chilean artist Mauricio J. González, who also designed Allfader's new logo."
Death metal band Allfader is currently recording a new album which will be released at an undetermined date on Osmose Productions. The album will be recorded without their guitar player Per Valla, with vocalist John Anderson taking over guitar duties.
John commented about his guitar work in the band and the sound of the new album "At first I was apprehensive about playing guitar while singing, but it has worked out incredibly well. Also, I feel I'm more in touch with the material when we write, and the writing process itself has been smoother than ever. We also did more shows in 2007 than the years 2001-2006 combined. So what are we up to at the moment? Well, we're currently recording our next album. The drums are done, and right now we're focusing on guitars. We're recording eight songs for the album with a total playing time around 50 minutes. The songs sound huge and they have a bit of a different vibe (to us, at least). We're focusing on groove, dynamics and solid arrangements. Heavier, less technical guitars but some awesome drumming."
