Odious Mortem Re-Recruits Former Guitarist

Santa Cruz death meta act Odious Mortem has issued the following brief update about re-recruiting former guitarist David Siskin: "We are glad to announce that David Siskin has returned to Odious on guitar to bring back the original line-up! Brain Drill Announces New Bassist

Santa Cruz, CA's Brain Drill is pleased to announce the addition of Ivan Munguia as the bands new bassist. Ivan has played bass for metal acts such as Carnivorous and Odious Mortem. "I'm stoked to be playing with such high caliber musicians, in a band as crushing and talented as Brain Drill. Soon, we'll be out on the road laying waste to crowds, and delivering some sick new tunes" comments Ivan. Brain Drill is currently hard at work rehearsing with Ivan and Joe to get them up to speed on the band's current material and plan to hit the road as soon as they can. Brain Drill is also currently hard at work on new tracks for the follow up to their devastating debut "Apocalyptic Feasting".

Severed Savior Announce New Vocalist

SEVERED SAVIOR have posted the following update:

“We are happy to announce that Anthony Trapani has joined Severed Savior as our new vocalist. Many of you know Anthony from his work on the recent (and crushing) ODIOUS MORTEM release ‘Cryptic Implosion.’ And we feel that his vocal style and lyrical sensibilities will fit perfectly with our new material. The upcoming CD ‘Servile Insurrection’ is still on schedule to come out early ‘08, and we are very excited to finally unleash these new songs onto the public. Expect to hear the best SEVERED SAVIOR release so far. Also, I just want to mention that Anthony will continue to front ODIOUS MORTEM as well.”

Odious Mortem Added to Maryland Deathfest

ODIOUS MORTEM issue the following update:
"Due to a couple of bands dropping out, ODIOUS MORTEM have been added to the Maryland Deathfest line-up. The fest will be held in Baltimore, MD during Memorial Day Weekend and is the best death metal and grind music fest held here in the United States. Also making an appearance at this years fest is GOROD. This will mark the bands first appearance ever in the United States as well."

Willowtip Records‘ ODIOUS MORTEM have announced the addition of their new bassist, Ivan Munguia:

“Ivan (ex-Carnivorous) has been a friend of ours for years, we’re happy to have him jamming with us. We’re are are currently setting some California shows around the release of the new CD (April/May). Dates will be posted soon!”

Odius Mortem Post Two New Tracks Online

Two sample tracks have been posted from ODIOUS MORTEM's upcoming full-length, Cryptic Implosion. You can find them posted on Willowtip's MySpace Page and Odious Mortem's MySpace page.

Their Willowtip debut, Cryptic Implosion, contains 11 tracks, one of which will feature a guest guitar solo by Ron Jarzombek (SPASTIC INK, WATCHTOWER). Cryptic Implosion will be released in early 2007.

Odious Mortem Signs To Willowtip

Willowtip has announced the signing of Santa Cruz , CA ’s technical death metal outfit, ODIOUS MORTEM . Consisting of members Anthony Trapani (CARNIVOROUS) on vocals, Joel Horner on bass, Dan Eggers on guitar, and KC Howard (DECREPIT BIRTH) on drums, ODIOUS MORTEM will enter Castle Ultimate Studios ( Oakland , CA ) with Zack Ohren this month to record their Willowtip debut, Cryptic Implosion . Made up of 11 tracks, one of which will feature a guest guitar solo by Ron Jarzombek (SPASTIC INK, WATCHTOWER), Cryptic Implosion can be seen as a natural, mature progression from the band’s previous release, 2005’s Devouring The Prophecy , on Unique Leader Records. The band comments on the signing: “We are honored to say that we are now part of Willowtip Records, a label that represents progressive metal of many styles”. Cryptic Implosion will be released in early 2007.
