Ivan Moody, frontman for the Los Angeles groove metal band Five Finger Death Punch will make his film debut in "Bled," set for DVD release in April.
The horror flick centers around a young artist seduced by a vampire trying to cross over from his own dimension to that of his victim. Moody will play the villain, Incubus.
"I saw the trailer for it and it is absolutely intense," Moody told ThePulseOfRadio.com in a recent interview.
"Bled" was produced by Jeffrey Allard, the producer behind 2003's "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" remake and the franchise's 2006 prequel "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning."
LA metallers, Five Finger Death Punch, have issued the following message to their fans regarding their line up changes:
"The rumors are true, only with less spins and no turbulence. Every band has its growing pains, and after 18 months in the trenches, relentless touring and living together, we all came to a conclusion that a change had to be made."
"It was a mutual agreement between the band and Darrell, and both parties wanted to handle this with class and as friends in our own time and on our own terms, however the rumor mill seems to work faster than anyone thought..." More...
Metalsludge.tv has issued the following statement about Five Finger Death Punch apparently replacing their guitarist:
"A hot rumor floating around NAMM this weekend is that Five Finger Death Punch has fired guitarist Darrell Roberts and replaced him with Jason Hook.
Sources close to guitarist Zoltan and drummer Jeremy are confirming the same story. This makes sense as Jeremy has had an on going friendship with Hook since he played drums on Hook's solo Cds. Jason recently has been playing guitar along side Keri Kelli in the Alice Cooper Band.
Darrell Roberts played guitar for W.A.S.P. for several years during the Neon God recordings and tours. Previous to the W.A.S.P. stint he played with TUFF to his admitted regret. Roberts is the signature Metallica guitar sound on the TUFF hit "American Hair Band" which was recorded during his tenure in the band in late 2000 into 2001. Roberts also played the "James Hetfield" role in the late 90s West Coast popular Alcholica (Metallica tribute band)."

The promoters of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem tour have posted the following message:
"Due to Northern California wild-fires, July 11th (Sacramento) Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival Performance Rescheduled to Monday July 14th
"Concerned for the health and safety of our patrons, performers and employees, Live Nation announces a date change for Sacramento's scheduled Rockstar Energy Mayhem festival at The Sleep Train Amphitheater. The air quality and temperature are expected to improve by end of weekend, allowing for the event to be moved to Monday, July 14th and show time will remain 1:30pm. Tickets purchased for Friday, July 11th will be honored.
"As we enter the second week of wild fires, and the recent 100+ degree temperatures, it is in the best interest of all involved that the tour date be rescheduled as conditions are expected to improve over the weekend. A variety of city and county officials have urged area residents to avoid long-term exposure to the outdoors and limit outdoor recreational activities."
"We sincerely regret this unavoidable cancellation and apologize to fans for any disappointment caused," says tour co-founder John Reese. "And while we're thankful that the show can take place on Monday, our thoughts are with the families in this area during this difficult time. Refunds will be available at original point of purchase." The Pulse of Radio reports that FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH resumes its live schedule on Friday night (April 18) in Sayreville, New Jersey, performing for the first time since canceling a tour two months ago. The band had to pull off the road when singer Ivan Moody was diagnosed with a throat problem, but he told The Pulse of Radio that the time off was just what he needed. "The throat is fine," he said. "It's actually probably ten-fold of what it was towards the end there. I started developing calluses in the back of my throat, sat down and talked to a couple of doctors, and they gave me an ultimatum. They said, you know, you can keep going and possibly have nodes, or you can take a little bit of time away and prepare yourself for what's to come. In the long run, I think it's beneficial, I think we came out on top, so everything's cool."
