Kamelot Added To 70,000 Tons Of Metal Lineup

The organizers of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise have issued the following announcement about adding Kamelot to the 2012 lineup:

"Tonight they anchored in the Tampa Bay where it came to them like a knight in a dark night: Please welcome Kamelot on board 70,000 Tons of Metal, The World's Biggest Floating Heavy Metal Festival. Are they staying in the Sunshine State for longer or will they sail onwards? You shall know soon..."

The cruise sets sail on January 23rd, 2012 from Miami FL and returns on January 27th. So far the following 26 out of a total of 40 bands on board are known:

Atheist Confirmed For 70,000 Tons Of Metal

The organizers of the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise have issued the following announcement about Atheist being the latest act confirmed for the festival:

"70,000 Tons of Metal, The World's Biggest Floating Heavy Metal Festival passed the Florida Straight and then turned North. Band Lineup Announced For Eisenwahn Festival

Germany's Eisenwahn Festival will take place from July 29th until July 30th at the motocross racetrack of Obersinn.

Legion of the Damned will perform along with bands such as Sepultura, Amagortis, Benediction, Bigball, Clitsplit, Cripper, Debauchery, Die Grauen Herren, Heretic Soul, Hour Of Penance, Jack Slater, Kraanium, Negator, Onslaught, Tankard, The Crown, The Sickening, Torture Squad, and Trinity Site.

Tankard Comments On New Album Release

Tankard has checked in with the following update about the release of the new album "Vol(l)ume 14:"

"Hi friends, our new album 'Vol(l)ume 14' will be released on December 17th 2010 via AFM Record. The limited edition of the CD contains a bonus DVD with our 60 minute appearance at the Headbangers-Ball-Open-Air in Germany 2009!

"We are still working on our new band website (www.tankard.info) and webshop which hopefully both go online soon. So watch out! Cheers."

German heavy metal veterans Tankard has announced that their new studio album, "Vol(l)ume 14" will be released through AFM Records on December 17th. Final Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2010

The organisers of Belgiums biggest metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has confirmed the final bands for this years edition of the event. The biggest news is that Soulfly, the band led by former Sepultura frontman Max Cavalera, will be headlining the event on the Saturday. Other bands added to the bill include New York hardcore legends Sick Of It All, former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash, Hatebreed, Revamp, Oceans Of Sadness and Dear Superstar. The festival takes place in the town of Dessel from June 25th-27th.

The organisers of Belgiums premier metal festival, Graspop Metal Meeting, has announced the addition of eleven more bands to this years bill. Among the latest acts are American supergroup Hellyeah, Australian rockers Airbourne and British heavy metal veterans Raven. The other confirmed bands are Katatonia, Evergrey, The Devil's Blood, Eluveitie, Finntroll, Dark Funeral, 3 Inches Of Blood and Sylosis. German thrash metal veterans Tankard has announced that they will be heading into MX Studios in Buchen, Germany this September to record their fourteenth studio album with producer Michael Mainx. Four More Bands Confirmed For Graspop 2010

The organisers of Belgium's Graspop Metal Meeting festival has announced that four more bands have now been added to the lineup. The biggest announcement is that Aerosmith will be headlining the event on the friday. Also joining them that day will be reunited California grungers Stone Temple Pilots. Industrial metal legends Fear Factory will be performing at the festival and so will Atlanta based metal outfit Mastodon, who are still touring in support of their critically acclaimed album, "Crack The Skye."
