Norway's Emancer has checked in with the following report of the band's European tour with Belphegor and Vreid:
"We're back from 16 days on the road with Belphegor and Vreid, and what a great experience it has been! This was our first tour and getting out to metal fans all over Europe was just amazing. Some places were more lively than others for sure, especially Sofia, Erfurt, Bratislava and generally all the gigs in Spain will bring good memories. And it was great to end the tour at the Metal Invasion Festival in Passau!
"Sadly there were some problems during the tour that lead to a few shows being canceled. We can only say that we're sorry about this, but it was completely out of the hands of the bands. The last thing we want when we're on tour is to cancel gigs, but sometimes we can't do anything about it. Let's hope that we'll have another chance to play in places like Krakow and Marseille at a later time!
"Special thanks goes to the crew guys and sound technician Helge who did an amazing job, and of course to all the guys in Vreid and Belphegor for a great time on the road! If you have any photos or videos from the tour, please don't hesitate to contact us. Meanwhile, external photo galleries are being posted on our website."

Yesterday Austrian blackened death metal act Belphegor ended the last rehearsing session for the band's upcoming studio album. Belphegor bassist Serpenth comments: "Its Belphegor to the bone, nine monumental - epic arrangements. The sound collages have a haunting - ritualistic atmosphere. Werk IX will be the longest playing Belphegor album yet."
Guitarist Helmuth also stated, "Sunday we returned form the awesome Metal Gate Open Air we shredded in Czech, and went direct back in the rehearsal bunker. Fucking wicked! The last rehearsals turned out fantastic. We practiced day and night to get every level to the highest peak."
The band is set to enter The Abyss Studios in Pärbly, Sweden on June 19th to begin recording the new album.
Blackened death metal act Belphegor will enter The Abyss Studios in Pärbly, Sweden on June 19th, to start recording the drum segments for an upcoming album. The band has tapped Peter Tägtgren to produce the as-yet-untitled album.
Belphegor's main man Helmuth said: "A new challenge. We're high on fire and totally motivated. I´m stoked to work together with a dude that needs no instruction, an excellent musician/producer. I´m sure that Peter will create a massive sound wall for our ninth long player. We are absolutely focused on the new album. That's the only reason why we play only a few open airs this summer. The master plan is to record again in 4/5 sessions til middle of September. Once again letting the tracks slowly take form, with the songwriting and production reaching a new level of intensity."
Peter Tägtgren also commented: "I am really looking forward to producing/mixing the new Belphegor album. It's going to be a blast, you better be prepared." More...

Ireland's For Ruin has issued the following update about canceling the band's previously announced U.K. tour dates with Belphegor:
"We are extremely sorry to say that we could not risk traveling to the UK today for our 4 originally scheduled shows with Belphegor. These shows were, it seems, far from being a priority for the booking agent and the Peterborough show was the first to be canceled. Last night we packed the gear and were at rehearsals only to get word that Leeds had been pulled leaving the Thurs (Camden) and Sunday (Plymouth) shows remaining, 4 days apart. The advice to us was that these are unlikely to go ahead and so much traveling would not be justified for such a short set in Camden so we decided to to travel and take the hit on what we had already invested in traveling to these shows.
"Its no understatement to say that we are very disappointed that we couldn't play these shows - a lot of work had to be done to get them arranged and to have everyone available to play them. But these things happen all the time and there's not much we can do about it. Playing other shows in the UK before the end of year will be difficult due to scheduling but we'll try to swing something. There was a lot of people coming to see the shows, review the shows, conduct interviews etc. and all that stuff - apologies to you."
