Victorville, California's CLOUDS TURNED BLACK is has announced the addition of drummer Josh Anderson to the group's ranks. "We would like to thank everyone that tried out for us and everyone that showed interest," the band writes in a statement. "And of course everyone who supported our search and that helped us out. We are now looking forward to finishing the work on our debut album 'Transfixion', and moving ahead full speed."

Open Grave Records has recently signed two new bands. First up is Victorville, California's Clouds Turned Black. Formed in 2002, the band has been active playing shows all over Southern California, sharing the stage with bands like Curl Up and Die, Bury Your Dead, Scars of Tomorrow, Beauty to Ashes and countless others. Things didn't really take off until 2005 when the group decided to make music a lifestyle instead of a hobby. Clouds Turned Black is currently in the process of writing new material for their debut full-length album due late fall 2006 on Open Grave Records.
Chicago, IL based The Everscathed was also just signed to Open Grave records late last week. The Everscathed is made up by Bill Frickenstein (Formally of Enmortem) on vocals and bass, Brice Dalzell (Formally of Corpsevomit) on guitar and vocals, and Tim Frickenstein (Formally of Enmortem) rounding things out on drums. THE EVERSCATHED are no strangers to the death metal scene with all members being involved in various projects since the mid 1990's, and having release numerous demos under the name Enmortem. In early 2003 the band was put on hiatus due to injuries to both Brice and a little later on Bill. The Everscathed are back in 2006 and ready to release their most brutal and relentless recording, "Razors of Unrest". "Razors of Unrest" will see a late summer release on Open Grave Records.
