Canadian metallers Sheavy have issued the following update about parting ways with their guitarist and recording a new album:
"Hey, looks like we're well overdue for an update. Some of you may be aware of the fact that Dan Moore has left sHEAVY after sixteen years of faithful service. We want to thank Dan for all the songs and the memories. You will be missed my friend. But as they say, life goes on and so will the band. We have about sixteen new songs written and by the looks of it we'll pen a few more before heading to the studio in August. We're all pretty excited about the new stuff and we're really looking forward to putting together a new record. So, look forward to 'The Golden Age of Daredevils' later this fall."

"We've got added another guitar player. His name is Tommy Boland and if you've seen the ['Sheavy at the Masonic Temple'] DVD you'll know who [we're] talking about. At the moment we're jamming again to prepare for a gig here in town (June 30th @ Junctions) and possibly some gigs in Germany in July. We're also optimistic about doing a new CD and DVD this year. The DVD for 'Republic?' is almost sold out and since we have no cash ... there will be no re-pressing."
