Mower Seeking New Guitarist
As was previously reported, Mower has canceled their tour with Skinlab due to the departure of their guitarist. The band has now issued the following update about seeking a new guitar player:
"Mower, and their punk lounge act, Slower, are looking for a permanent guitarist and band member to record and tour with us. Those of you following along know that we just took a real hit and had to cancel a tour. It sucks, it's lame, but we aren't going to waste any time finding a permanent guitarist to step in and join our crew. We're looking forward to working with a professional musician who is prepared to tour, perform, write, rehearse, promote, handle his own gear, pull his own weight and have a good time with us. Mower has uploaded tutorial videos for guitar online at this location.
"Interested guitarists should learn the following songs in the key of D, drop C tuning. Auditions will be held on a first come, first serve basis. If your versions of the songs do not sound like the CD versions or you aren't able to play all the way through each song, then you are not ready to audition. Mower lives in San Diego, but we will accept video auditions from out of state musicians. We appreciate all the support we're receiving in emails and posts and we look forward to meeting some talented new friends during these guitarist auditions. We can be reached at mowerinfo@yahoo.com Please focus on the following songs first: Current Mower Set List: Long Awaited Riot The Party 10' X 10' Road Rage General Admission Pieces N.N.D. Wrestle With The Pig The Song We Don't Speak Of GWAR - Crack In The Egg Wolves
"Current Slower Setlist: Shut Up And Skate Road Rage Faded Seedless U-Turn The Monkees - Last Train To Clarksville You're Out Get Out Pieces N.N.D Little Green Bag."
Mower Pulls Out Of Skinlab Tour
Mower has issued the following update about pulling out of their upcoming tour with Skinlab:
"Mower would like to sincerely thank Skinlab, Sik World, Jagermeister, Loudside.com, and all the promoters and venues that invited us to be part of the Sons of a Sik World tour.
"A decision made by a departing member yesterday has forced the band to relinquish our spot on the bill. We are beyond disappointed. Sometime between sound check and set time last night in Denver, CO, our guitarist Greg Russell decided to book a flight and leave the tour without alerting anyone in the band of his intentions.
"The fact that he decided that his issues were more important than the fans, friends, band, crew, agents, club owners, promoters, record labels, sponsors, press, Skinlab, and all the local support acts is something that we can't even begin to understand or condone. The four remaining members of Mower looked into every possible replacement option to continue on the tour, but none of those options would have been viable in time.
"The good news is that we will have a replacement ready in time for our upcoming tour in November. Mower has been through this type of thing before and although it is unsettling, we intend to move through it and continue with our plans to tour as much as possible supporting our new release, 'Make It A Double.' Thanks for your patience while we regroup and prepare for November's 'Holiday Hate Tour' with Psychostick and Straight Line Stitch."
Mower Seeking Fan Tattoo Photos

"Started a Mower Tattoo photo album, send your photos in now and we'll add them to our album."
Mower To Premier New Music Video Tomorrow
Mower is currently set to release their upcoming album "Make It A Double" on July 28th. The band has also issued the following announcement about premiering a new music video online tomorrow:
"Join 'The Party' tomorrow Tuesday July 14th at this location at noon PST.
"We had a hell of a lot of fun filming this video and I think it shows.
"If you like the song, add the track and the video to your own profile and let people know they should preorder 'Make It A Double' now here."
Mower Explains The Importance Of Pre-Orders
San Diego's Mower are currently set to release their new album "Make It A Double" On July 28th. The band has issued the following statement commenting on the importance of pre-orders to underground bands:
"Everyone in the band and at the label are out in full force asking our friends, family and fans to preorder the 'Make It A Double' CD. I thought I'd take a minute to get into the important role that preorders play, for those of you without plans to preorder it.
"First off, preorders come with a free autographed full color two-sided poster. It's limited edition memorabilia, which means you get something other people can't have along with the CD artwork and a physical CD.
"Preorders show where people are buying our records, and that helps us route our tours. You shouldn't have to drive to a big city if more people in your town bought the CD.
"A lot of preorders affect first week sales that can land us on emerging artists charts or get airplay on stations that would normally ignore our music, and a buzz about the record starts. A good base can persuade a buyer to stock our CD in more towns so the people you turn onto us can find it in stores later.
"For an underground band those kinds of things are key, because we're not going to have ads in every magazine and videos on every channel and DJ's jamming our songs down people's throats. We don't focus on that shit, but it does affect us, and if you're a fan, then it affects you too. More...

Mower Seek New Musicians
Frontman Brian Sheerin of San Diego, California's MOWER, who just recently completed a tour supporting DIECAST, has checked in with the following recap of 2007:
"We had a great 2007. 'Road Rage' was one of Sirius Radio's top metal requests for four straight months and counting. We toured with (HED)P.E. and DIECAST, picked up new endorsements and sponsors and launched a whole new jazz/lounge alter ego, SLOWER.
"Now we're looking to find two guys with touring and recording experience that are going to appreciate that we're set up with a label, management, and booking agent, and will make the most of the opportunities we have to get music out to people."
Musicians that are interested can contact MOWER at mowerinfo@yahoo.com.
"In the past we've always looked around San Diego to find people to play music, but this time we're looking everywhere," says Sheerin. "Check out the videos and the songs and please contact us if you're interested. Most guys know if they're going to work out before they ever call. If you stand still on stage, show up late and can't afford to buy your own food, liquor, gas etc., this probably isn't for you."
"Professional gear is a must, and we want guys that are just as comfortable playing stuff like FRANK SINATRA or PINK FLOYD as they are MESHUGGAH, DEFTONES or SLAYER. For guys out of state we've been using video before any travel."
MOWER is currently writing material for the group's follow-up to its Suburban Noize-released sophomore effort, "Not For You". The album was produced by INVITRO guitarist Mikey Doling and saw the lead single "Road Rage" lit up request lines at Sirius Satellite Radio's Hard Attack. The song has been one of the most requested tracks for twelve consecutive weeks in a row alongside high-profile groups like DOWN, AS I LAY DYING, MACHINE HEAD, DEVILDRIVER and MEGADETH. The video for "Road Rage" was directed by Dale Resteghini (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL).
Mower Added To Diecast Tour
San Diego's MOWER has been added to the upcoming DIECAST tour starting in Cleveland, OH on November 13 and ending on December 8 in Farmington, NM.
Commented MOWER frontman Brian Sheerin: "Thanks to DIECAST for taking MOWER out of Southern California for a little while. It's just not safe here anymore with all the drunken actresses driving around with no panties on. We need to get the hell out of here now. If I see one more hot blonde with big breasts in a convertible, I'm going to throw up. Actually, that was a lie, I just made that up to make this release more interesting. Seriously though, this DIECAST tour is a gift and we're really thankful for the dates. MOWER needed a good heavy tour and now we've got one."

Download An MP3 of Mower's "Road Rage"
San Diego based MOWER has posted a free download of the song “Road Rage” online. The track has been picking up steam on Satellite radio and was recently added into rotation on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Hard Attack with Jose Mangin.
“As a Hard Attack listener and New Yorker, it’s very cool to hear it getting played on Sirius. We’re an underground band, so it’s great to see people getting dialed in to what we’re doing without massive promotions or festival touring and all that,” says Brian Sheerin, one of MOWER’s two frontmen. “The fact “Not For You” is still finding new fans tells you we’re not the only ones who like more than one style of music. We wanted our album to hold people’s attention with every song and offer the same intensity and transitions we bring to the table live.”
Fans can request MOWER’s “Road Rage” on Sirius Satellite Radio’s Hard Attack here.
MOWER, who just returned from a successful trek with (HED) P.E., shot a video for "Road Rage" with director Dale Resteghini (HATEBREED, SHADOWS FALL) that has received airplay on MTV's "Headbanger's Ball." The video can be viewed online here.
“’Road Rage’ was the one track everyone including the band, producer Mikey Doling (Snot, Soulfly) and our engineer Brad Djumovic (Invitro) felt strongest about right away,” says Sheerin. “People are feeling the song because it gets right to the point of a global phenomenon. Every driver in every city has lost it behind the wheel at one point or another. Traffic turns the nicest people into animals. We get a lot of emails from fans telling us they listen to the song whenever they drive, which probably isn’t helping the situation much.”
Even a year after its release Mower’s sophomore album, “Not For You,” is still winning over new fans. The album was recently nominated for a 2007 San Diego Music Award in the "Best Hard Rock" category.
Mower recently announced the dates for their upcoming tour with Twiztid. The tour will kick off September 25th in Cleveland, OH and will end November 12th in Detroit, MI at St. Andrews Hall.

Mower Announce Tour WIth Twiztid
Mower has announced the dates for their upcoming tour with Twiztid. The tour will kick off September 25th in Cleveland, OH and will end November 12th in Detroit, MI at St. Andrews Hall.
“We're pumped to be on a Psychopathic tour. We've done shows with Twiztid and Blaze and ever since the word got out we were on this tour, the Juggalos started contacting us online to say what's up,” says Mower frontman Brian Sheerin. “They're all ready for the tour to start. Juggalos don't f**k around, it’s summer and people are set to go off, and so are we.”
The tour comes on the heels of back to back tours supporting (Hed).p.e, and Kottonmouth Kings. The band’s video for “Road Rage” was also spun on MTV’s Headbanger’s Ball and the album has also garnered a 2007 San Diego Music Award nomination in the “Best Hard Rock” category.
"We want to get out there and see all of our friends. The last few Mower tours hit a lot of the same areas, so we got to hang with the same cool people and now it's time to go back out and see them again," says Sheerin. This will be a great underground tour - the best kind of tour - packed houses and energetic crowds. We're coming to throw down onstage every night and then party and watch Twiztid do their thing. It's going to be great."
Mower is touring in support of their recently released album “Not For You” (Suburban Noize Records), which was produced by ex-Snot/Soulfly guitarist Mikey Doling.
