New Saints Row Game Features Metal Bands

THQ Inc. and Volition, Inc. have now released "Saints Row: The Third" on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The launch trailer has also been posted online and can be viewed here.

"There's no way to describe Saints Row: The Third other than pure, over-the-top fun," said Danny Bilson, Executive Vice President, Core Games, THQ. "In a sea of games that are doing the same thing over again, it's incredibly refreshing to take Saints Row in a completely new direction, and incredibly satisfying to see the reaction from fans so far. Today, we all embrace the crazy."

The game boasts seven in game radio stations to enjoy while flying and driving through Steelport. Metal Blade Records boasts a huge presence on The Blood, the in-game station featuring an assortment of metal tracks. Job For A Cowboy Completes Work On New Album

Arizona based extreme emetal outfit Job For A Cowboy has announced that the band has finished work on a brand new studio album. The record is expected to be released next year through Metal Blade Records. A message from the band reads as follows:

"The new full length is officially done. Waiting for mixing and mastering within a month. Now... what to call it? Expect big news."

Cannibal Corpse And Triptykon To Tour The U.K.

American death metal legends Cannibal Corpse have been confirmed as the headliners for Metal Hammer's, "Destroyers Of The Faith" tour, which will kick off in March. Also on the trek will be Triptykon, Enslaved, and Job For A Cowboy.

Between The Buried and Me Treks to Tennessee

"The Hypersleep Dialogues Trek" tour tore its way through North America and part of Canada over the course of a month, moving counter-clockwise from New York and ends up in Asheville, North Carolina tonight. As the name shows, Between The Buried and Me was supporting their new album, "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues," and they brought a solid lineup to Nashville with them – Job For A Cowboy and The Ocean. On their stop through Rocketown on Friday, May 13th, the bands played to a familiar crowd. Three years earlier, Between The Buried and Me had recorded their show here at Rocketown and released it as a live CD/DVD package – "Colors Live."

As the line snaked around the large venue, funneling in for about an hour, you could overhear discussions about the rarity of bands like Between the Buried and Me, Opeth, and others who "could do whatever they wanted, and I’d always love ‘em." More...

The Night BTBAM Drowned In The Ocean

It is without a doubt that the hype and anticipation around the first ever headlining performance from Between the Buried and Me in Vancouver was huge. Having appeared in the city twice before as an opening act, playing only 2 songs in its first appearance and 3 songs the next, the BTBAM faithful were lined up two blocks deep outside the city's Rickshaw Theater hours before showtime, to catch a well deserved full length set. BTBAM Streaming New Album Online

Between the Buried and Me will release a new LP, titled "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues," on April 12th via Metal Blade Records. The three-song strong, 30 minute release was recorded at Canada's Metalworks Studios and Rattlebox Studios and produced / engineered by the Grammy award-winning David Bottrill (Tool, Muse, King Crimson, Dream Theater, etc.) with the band. In advance of its release, MetalSucks premiered "The Parallax: Hypersleep Dialogues" in its entirety here.

The Red Chord Parts Ways With Drummer

Boston, Massachusetts based metal outfit The Red Chord has announced that the band has parted ways with drummer Mike Justian, one of the original members of the group. A message from the band reads as follows:

"We've parted ways with our old friend and original drummer, Mike Justian. It was awesome jamming with him as always and our split is totally mutual. We wish Mike the best!

"We're excited to announce that Jon Rice (Charn) of Job For A Cowboy will be playing drums for us on the upcoming Trap Them/Gaza tour. Jon is an exceptional drummer and we're excited to play some shows with him."

Times Of Grace Added To New England Metal Fest

Times Of Grace, the new project between Killswitch Engage guitarist Adam D and former Killswitch Engage vocalist Jesse Leach, has annnounced that it will be appearing at the forthcoming edition of the New England Metal And Hardcore festival which is set to take place between April 14th, 15th and 16th, 2011. Job For A Cowboy To Record New EP

Job For A Cowboy vocalist Johnny Davy has posted the following update online:

"It felt like a long time since we last got together to write new material. After collaborating in the snow of Boston, we're now recording our second EP. It feels good to be in Florida with Jason, Ron and Eyal of Audiohammer studios. JFAC 2.0 is on the way."

Job For A Cowboy has also reported that the band has entered Audiohammer Studios in Sanford, Florida with producer Jason Suecof to record the as-yet-untitled EP. An early Summer release through Metal Blade Records is expected.
