Unearth Party w/ Aqua Teen Hunger Force Pre-Tour

UNEARTH were the main attraction at last week's Adult Swim's Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film For Theatres launch party in Austin TX.

UNEARTH have recorded the song "THE CHOSEN" for the forthcoming Aqua Teen Hunger Force feature film, Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters ( in theaters on 4/13/2007) and the accompanying soundtrack Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie Film for Theaters Colon The Soundtrack (in stores on 4/10/2007).
Straight after their stint in Austin, TX, the band headed to Europe to join forces with DAATH, DESPISED ICON, and Metal Blade Record's newest member to the family, JOB FOR A COWBOY on a tour that will lead into late April.

"We are all eager as fuck to headline the UK and Europe for the first time. We have done some amazing European tours before, but it will feel damn good to play a full set and put on our show for our friends overseas" says vocalist, Trevor Phipps "We are hitting up some smaller venues, most without barricades, so we can bring a real Unearth show to the people. We hand picked Job For a Cowboy, Despised Icon and Daath to make sure the entire bill was one that will keep the crowds looking over their shoulders at all times!"

UNEARTH will then make their way back to the US for the highly anticipated tour with DIMMU BORGIR, DEVILDRIVER and KATAKLYSM.

"After the headlining run we come right back home for a North American tour with Dimmu Borgir, Devildriver and Kataklysm. We haven't hit the road with Dimmu since the 2004 Ozzfest, so it will be good to get out there and do it again in a club setting. Devil Driver is always a great band to share the stage with and Kataklysm is one of the best death metal bands around today" enthuses Phipps "This tour is going to be an un-fucking-real diverse clash of heavy music... good times ahead!"

Job For A Cowboy Completes New Album

Glendale, AZ extreme metal unit Job For A Cowboy has completed work on their highly anticipated full-length debut, entitled Genesis, slated for release on May 15 via Metal Blade Records.

Job For A Cowboy, who toured the world in 2006 in support of their wildly-popular, self-financed "Doom" EP, recorded Genesis at Blue Light Audio Media in Phoenix, AZ with producer Cory Spotts. The album was mixed by the Grammy winning Andy Sneap (Opeth, Entombed).

On the topic of the new album, Job For A Cowboy guitarist Ravi Bhadriraju comments, "Genesis is a record that we as a band needed to fulfill. We wrote an album that we wanted to play live well into the distant future. If there is one word to describe our new record, it is 'aggressive.' We want this album to have a certain effect on the listener. I am happy with what we have achieved, and I hope our fans appreciate it too."

Vocalist Jonny Davy states, "We wrote the material that became the 'Doom' EP at a very young age and the sound of this upcoming record is a much different one than anything we've done before. We're anxious for its release and we hope everyone who hears it will enjoy."

The final track listing for "Genesis" is:

01. Bearing The Serpent's Lamb
02. Reduced to Mere Filth
03. Altered From Catechization
04. Upheaval
05. Embedded
06. Strings of Hypocrisy
07. Martyrdom Unsealed
08. Blasphemy
09. The Divine Falsehood
10. Coalescing Prophecy

The brand new JFAC song "Embedded," as well as a sneak peak at the Genesis cover artwork can be found on the band's Myspace page.

Job For A Cowboy Announce New Drummer

Job For A Cowboy has announced the latest addition to the line-up, Jon "The Charn" Rice! Jon has been playing drums for about 7 years. After completing a year at Capital's Conservatory of Music, majoring in Music Business with a focus on Percussion, Jon left to pursue a career in music.

JFAC guitarist, Ravi Bhadriraju had this to say about his new band mate:
"Jon's Badass. His demo was awesome and we felt that after meeting and talking to other drummers that his personality fit best with ours. In addition to an awesome drummer, we needed someone who wants what we want and that is to tour as much as possible and he is down with that. We have no plans to stop and I'm glad we get to do that with the comfort of knowing we brought the right dude with us and that he feels the same."

New drummer, Jon agrees:
"For me it's a dream come true. It's one of those things where you take a chance and send a demo over and then your life is changed. I'm really looking forward to living on the road. I've lived in Pittsburgh forever and starting in a few weeks I will be living the dream and seeing the world."

Job For A Cowboy just recently completed work on their Metal Blade Records debut which will be out in the Spring/Summer of 2007. The band is now gearing up for a month long trek with The Acacia Strain, See You Next Tuesday, Daath and label mates PSYOPUS. The tour starts January 12th in Menomonee Falls, WI.

The Acacia Strain Give Tour, Lineup Updates

Fresh off supporting THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD and From A Second Story Window along with labelmates LIGHT THIS CITY, Massachusetts' THE ACACIA STRAIN has returned home before hitting the road again in January and February. Vocalist Vincent Bennett has offered a bulky band update via the band's MySpace page:

"Hello everyone in heavyland. Vincent here with a large update. We haven't spoken in a while so I figured I'd bring you guys up to speed. The Daniel [Dan Daponde, guitar] has bowed out gracefully. For those of you have been asking about Daniel J. Daponde, here are your answers: due to health problems, Dan has been forced to leave his position as a badass guitar player in The Acacia Strain. We miss him a whole bunch, and we are sure you all do as well. Wish him luck in his future endeavors!"

"We are NOT currently looking for a replacement. Please stop asking. When we do end up looking for another guitarist, we will let you know. For now, here is what you might want to strive for:

1. At LEAST one year of tour experience as a musician
2. Commitment to us and the road, we are never home.
3. A good attitude!
4. Willingness and the ability to write music.

"There is more, but like I said...We aren?t really looking right now. DL [Daniel Laskiewicz] is doing pretty well on his own.

"The tour with Through The Eyes of The Dead, From A Second Story Window, and Light This City was fucking amazing! Thanks to all who came out and had a good time! See you again in January/February! Speaking of which, we are touring in Jan/Feb with Job For A Cowboy, Psyopus, See You Next Tuesday and Daath! DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO MAKE IT TO ONE OF THESE SHOWS. It?s going to be bruuuuuutal. See you there!"

Job For A Cowboy Seeks New Drummer

Job For A Cowboy and drummer Elliott Sellers have parted ways. According to the band, "It was a mutual agreement that ended on a good note." Regardless, the Arizona-based group is now seeking a replacement. Candidates must be willing to tour consistently. Here's the official word on trying out:

"Make a video recording of yourself playing 'Entities' along to a metronome. Please do not send your own personal interpretations of the song, the band just wants to make sure you can play what is heard on the CD. The band would also like to see another video of you drumming showcasing whatever you'd like. Once you've done that you can email Job for a Cowboy at jfacaudition@gmail.com. We would need you to relocate during our writing process. We will provide food, living shelter, and equipment."

Job For A Cowboy Interview Online

Brokenbroadcast has posted an interview with Johnny, vocalist for much raved-about metallers Job For A Cowboy. Excerpts from the interview follow:

BB: You guys participated on a few selected dates of The Sounds of the Underground tour and the Beers and Steers Tour, talk about that.
Johnny: We left late May to kick off the Steers And Beer tour, but before that we did a few weeks worth of the dates of the Necrophagist and Arsis tour. The Necrophagist tour was a bit shaky with our new guitar player, Bobby, he only had a few weeks to learn our set, but thankfully hes a great guitar player and got in the swing of things in just a few shows. The tour was great, packed shows every night. As soon as that was done we jumped in and started the Steers and Beers tour with Cattle Decapitation, Misery Index, From A Second Story Window and Animosity. We were surprised over how well the shows were doing, we had alot of fun and we miss those guys really badly. It ran straight for 2 months, I think there was only one day off of the entire tour. After months of touring we had a day off at home, and then we jumped on 3 of the Sounds Of The Underground dates. It was amazing playing with alot of our favorite bands, just being peers with them. We hope we can do the entire tour next summer.

BB: Is there any information on a new record?
Johnny: Well, after this over three months of touring and signing to Metalblade we came home to take a break from playing shows. Taking a break to write our debut full length to get released on Metalblade. If all works out, we're heading in the studio late November to start recording, and then hopefully a few months after that it will be in stores.

BB: What are tour plans for the future? Is there anything lined up for fall?
Johnny: Tour plans right now are still up in the air, we just plan on heading back on tour in January to support our full length.

BB: What is the goal for the band and how do you see yourselves fulfilling it?
Johnny: We just hope that we can keep doing what we love, and hope we can gain some fans out of it. There really isnt a better feeling out there.
