Silent Drive Posts New Song, Adds Guitarist
After more than three years, Silent Drive (featuring members and ex-members of Bane and Drowningman) have posted a new song online. The new track, titled "Mexican Standoff," will be featured on the band's second album for Equal Vision Records. As such, the demo material will be re-recorded for the new album. The drum tracks were recorded in Vermont with drummer Dave Joyal's friend, Mark Lucia. Vocals, guitar, and bass were recorded in Massachusetts with Silent Drive's new second guitar player, Andy Kyte. The band states that the song is one of "the heavier tracks on the record and you can still expect the 'no song sounds the same' style on the next album."
A note from the band regarding the recent addition of Kyte: "Andy has been a friend of ours for years, He actually played second guitar in Silent Drive when the band was formed in early-2003. After we started jamming with Andy, we realized it helped fill out our sound to a degree we had never thought possible in the past. Now we have more room to experiment."
Hatebreed's Cover Of Sick Of It All's "Ratpack"
Two songs from the forthcoming SICK OF IT ALL tribute album — HATEBREED's version of "Ratpack" and BOUNCING SOULS' rendition of "Good Lookin' Out" — are available for listening on the Sick Of It All's MySpace page for the CD.
"Our Impact Will Be Felt" will hit shelves in the United States on April 24 through Abacus Recordings and features such additional heavy hitters such as SEPULTURA, RISE AGAINST, BLEEDING THROUGH, IGNITE and UNEARTH.
Each week leading up to the album's release there will be two new songs streaming for fans to listen to and get an inside preview of the album.

Bane Plan 10th Anniversary Show
Bane will play a special 10th anniversary show on Saturday, December 30th at the Palladium in Worcester, MA. Tickets are $15 and the event will also feature performances from Overcast, Evergreen Terrace, Outbreak, FC Five, and Ambitions.

Bane Ready New Release, Preview Songs Online
Bane's new album, The Note will be in stores on May 17th. To give you a little more of a taste for the album, we're going to be premiering one new song every few days from now until the release date on their Pure Volume site. The Promise Announce Final Show
When they announced their impending break-up earlier this month, The Promise had not made a decision regarding a final show. The possibility existed that their final show would be at the Turmoil reunion event on April 15th. However, the group has now set their official final show for May 29th in Syracuse. The show will take place at Club Tundra along with Bane, Charge, Final Word, and Enough Is Enough. Tickets are $10 and the show begins at 7pm.

The track listing for Bane's upcoming album has been released. The record, featuring artwork by bassist Pete Chilton (of Bane and Silent Drive), will hit stores May 17th via Equal Vision Records. Here's the final track listing:

Bane Complete New Album, "The Note"
Bane have finished recording and mixing their new full-length. Entitled "The Note," the album was finished up this weekend at Salad Days studio with Brian McTernan. According to the band, "We listened to the mixes [on January 29] and everything sounds amazing. we are beyond excited for this thing to come out." Once the record is mastered, the group expects to have an MP3 online. They will also be playing much of the new material during their upcoming tour with Comeback Kid, etc. The album is slated for release through Equal Vision Records on May 17th.
