Zeke To Support Motorhead and COC On Tour
ZEKE have announced a U.S. tour in support of their latest album, 'Til the Livin' End. ZEKE will team up with MOTORHEAD and CORROSION OF CONFORMITY for a string of dates that kick off on March 9th in Sayerville, NJ. The tour is expected to conclude on April 11th in Spokane, WA with additional dates pending.
On the topic of touring alongside MOTORHEAD, ZEKE guitarist / frontman Blind Marky Felchtone commented, "It's about f**king time!".

Black Label Society Records Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute
Black Label Society went into the studio recently to record a cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's 1977 classic "I Never Dreamed" for the upcoming Skynyrd tribute album "Heavy Helping" being released by Sanctuary records, which is slated to include Zakk, Corrosion Of Conformity, Metallica, Sebastian Bach, Kid Rock, Saliva, Dee Snider and more.
When asked why he chose that particular Skynyrd song, Zakk replied, "I've always loved that tune. I'm not going to do 'Sweet Home' or 'Free Bird', all the shit you always hear on the radio. Pick some obscure Skynyrd song and make it your own. We Black Labelized the whole damn thing. It came out slammin'! Actually, we're going to put it on our record (Mafia, due out March 8th) as well. It'll probably be the bonus track at the end of the album. So it'll be on both. It's just more publishing for the Skynyrd guys."
As far as a release date for "Heavy Helping," Zakk was unsure. "I have no idea. But with all the other bands that are on there, I'm sure it's going to be amazing. I can't wait to hear it."
Motorhead And COC Announce Tour Dates
The lads in Motorhead and Corrosion of Conformity have announced dates for their upcoming tour.
The bands current set of dates takes both bands into April. More dates are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. This will be Motorhead's first U.S. tour since being forced to cancel last year's tour due to Motorhead frontman Lemmy's foot injury.
Motorhead will be touring in support of last year's release "Inferno." Corrosion of Conformity will be touring in support of their upcoming April release "In the Arms of God."

CORROSION OF CONFORMITY will be resurfacing to tour this March and April as support to none other than the almighty MOTORHEAD.
Corrosion Of Conformity Change Title Of New Album
Corrosion of Conformity appear to have changed the projected title of their new album to "In the Arms of God" from its previously announced Spanish-language equivalent, "En Los Brazos Del Dios".
"We start back this week with the final mixdown of the new music," guitarist Woody Weatherman writes on the group's web site. "Looks like 12 tunes will make it onto the actual record, that leaves a few songs unmixed for the time being maybe they'll appear later."
"In the Arms of God" is tentatively scheduled for release on April 5 via Sanctuary Records. Song titles set to appear on the CD include "En los Brazos del Dios", "Never Turns to More", "Stone Breaker" and "World on Fire". Producing the album is C.O.C.'s longtime collaborator John Custer. Besides working on four of the band's previous albums, Custer also produced C.O.C. bassist Mike Dean's track on Dave Grohl's Probot project and C.O.C.'s contribution to "Nativity In Black", the Black Sabbath tribute compilation. Playing drums is New Orleans' Stanton Moore, skinsman for the renowned jazz-funk combo Galactic.

Sanctuary Records has set an April 5, 2005 tentative release date for the new Corrosion of Conformity album, entitled "En Los Brazos Del Dios." Songtitiles set to appear on the CD include "En los Brazos del Dios", "Never Turns to More", "Stone Breaker" and "World on Fire". Producing the album is C.O.C.'s longtime collaborator John Custer. COC To Release New Album In 2005
Corrosion Conformity, the Grammy-nominated heavy rockers from North Carolina, will release an aggressive new studio album through Sanctuary Records in early 2005, to be followed by a worldwide tour.
Tentatively titled "En los Brazos del Dios" (In the Arms of God), the upcoming album is among the band's heaviest in years. "We all have a certain affinity for real music, including truly heavy stuff," says founding guitarist Woody Weatherman.
The band's current direction reflects their long tradition of evolution. "We started writing songs, and they somewhat had the vibe of 'Blind', 'Deliverance' and our earlier material," says vocalist/guitarist Pepper Keenan. "We started thinking from that perspective, and it evolved into a heavy, classic sound but with a modern wisdom to it. We really got back to our roots with this one, listening to old records that we all grew up on and headbanging at Woody's farmhouse. It was a good time putting it together."
The result, Keenan says, is a "bombastic, epic record, staying clear of the 3-minute formula. It's not a nostalgic record by any means; it's big and ugly and heavy. Thematically, there's a lot of disgust on the record, directed inwardly and towards society in general, reflecting these times we all live in. A lot of people will be able to relate." More...
Earthride Teams Up With COC Bassist
Maryland-based doom rockers Earthride entered Sonic Wave Studios in Raleigh, N.C. over Labor Day weekend with producer producer/engineer Mike Dean (Corrosion of Conformity bassist) to begin recording their second release for L.A.'s Southern Lord Records.
"It's a good relationship," said Earthride vocalist Dave Sherman (Wretched, Spirit Caravan) of working with Dean. "We have a good rapport with Mike. Hopefully this will be one of the best releases of 2005."
Dean and Sherman got to know each other in 2001 when C.O.C. toured the United States with Spirit Caravan and their fellow Maryland residents in Clutch. Later, Dean and Spirit Caravan guitarist/vocalist Wino (St. Vitus, The Obsessed, Hidden Hand) contributed vocal tracks to Dave Grohl's Probot project, released earlier this year by Southern Lord.
Earthride's other members are guitarist Kyle Van Steinburg, bassist Rob Hampshire and drummer Eric Little (Internal Void).
When Dean asked Southern Lord chief Greg Anderson if any of his bands needed a producer, he mentioned Earthride.
"I was excited because of their connections to Spirit Caravan and Internal Void," Dean said. "I was even more excited when they set up their equipment and I heard the songs and realized it would be easy to make them sound tremendous because they already sounded tremendous."
Dean found time to work with Earthride during a break in C.O.C.'s schedule. Last month the band began recording its next release for Sanctuary Records with Galactic drummer Stanton Moore in his band's New Orleans studio. C.O.C. also recently completed recording their version of Lynyrd Skynyrd's "On the Hunt" for one of Sanctuary's upcoming Skynard tribute albums, working with longtime producer John Custer in his Raleigh studio and at Sonic Wave.
Earthride's last release for Southern Lord, "Taming of the Demons", was produced by Chris Koslowski, who's also worked with Pentagram, Spirit Caravan, Internal Void and The Obsessed. The band's first release was a self-produced, self-titled four-song EP/CD that came out in 2000 on its own Earth Brain label.
"I respect Earthride for their abilities and their connection to the history of heavy rock," said Dean. "Their influences run deep and far back."
Clutch, C.O.C. And Others On High Times Comp CD
CLUTCH, CORROSION OF CONFORMITY, UNIDA and THE HIDDEN HAND are among the artists appearing on the forthcoming High Times Records compilation album, "High Volume", due on May 4.

New Corrosion Of Conformity Album In The Works?
Corrosion Of Conformity will be contributing a brand-new song to a compilation CD being released through High Times Records. The album, titled "High Volume", is expected to surface around April 20, 2004 and will feature a number of other "great bands," according to a post on C.O.C.'s official web site.
In other news, "there is finally serious talk of buckling down and getting some real work done on the next C.O.C. record. Hopefully we'll have some actual news concerning that matter very soon." More...
