SOTU 2007 Lineup and Tour Dates Announced

Sounds of the Underground has announced the lineup for their annual tour. Following two straight appearances in the middle of the day, the event will be closed most nights by splatter metal champions, GWAR; ensuring that fans will remain blood and gore-free until the closing hours of the show. Three other bands will rotate in the headlining position prior to GWAR: a block-buster artist yet to be announced, face-shredding metal pugilists Chimaira, and experimental noisemakers Every Time I Die.

The day will be completed with a bill including Necro, Darkest Hour, Amon Amarth, The Acacia Strain, The Devil Wears Prada, HeavyHeavyLowLow, The Number Twelve Looks Like You, Goatwhore, This Is Hell, and 2 Cents. Expect additional special guest headliners to join the bill on select dates.

The touring festival launches in July and runs into August. More...

New England Metal and Hardcore Fest Lineup

The lineup has been announced for this year's New England Metal and Hardcore Festival. The event will be headlined by black metal act Dimmu Borgir and feature performances from Bury Your Dead, Kylesa, The Devil Wears Prada, 100 Demons, Nora, The Human Abstract, Death Before Dishonor, Dead Hearts, Unearth, Shai Hulud and many more.

The New England Metal and Hardcore Festival take place at the Palladium, located at 261 Main Street in Worcester, Mass.

FASSW Embarks On Second Leg of Tour

After a few days off in Denver due to van trouble, From a Second Story Window is ready to get back on the road. This next leg of the tour will have FASSW sharing the stage with Heavy Heavy Low Low and the Cancer Bats for a few weeks, some dates will also include The Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza, See your Next Tuesday, as well as Nights Like These, Unearth, and The Devil Wears Prada.

“We would like to say thanks to everyone in Denver for being amazing while we are having our woes worked on and making this time off productive in so many ways. Please check your local show provider for information, or our My Space or website. We are looking forward to the coming shows and expect to see all our friends across the country coming out to bro-down and get awesome with us. We are already writing for the new record as well so expect some more news on that as it develops... other than that its pretty much same-ol-same-ol for us in FASSW camp... good times, good friends, good shows and the gift of playing music nightly. Thanks to everyone who came and supported us on the Number 12 dates, we had such an amazing time and leaving that tour broke our hearts into a million pieces. Job For A Cowboy's new EP for recent contractors Metal Blade Records, "Doom", can now be pre-ordered at both this location for Australians (export postage available, but will cost extra) and through Relapse Distribution, here.

As previously reported, Job For A Cowboy will be making an appearance on the second day of the 2006 Saints & Sinners Festival at the Asbury Park Convention Hall Complex in Asbury Park, NJ. Tickets are now on sale for both the October 28th and 29th shows through Ticketmaster for $32 for a single day, or $58 for both. The Fest will map out like this:

Saints & Sinners Festival 2006 (NJ) Info Revealed

Saints & Sinners Festival 2006 will take place on Saturday, October 28th and Sunday, October 29th at the Asbury Park Convention Hall Complex in Asbury Park, NJ. Tickets will go on sale August 11th through Ticketmaster, with one-day tickets priced at $32 and a two-day ticket at $58. Here's the schedule:

The Devil Wears Prada Sign To Rise Records

Dayton, OH metal/hardcore outfit The Devil Wears Prada have officially signed with Rise Records. The group's upcoming full-length, featuring songs from their EP in addition to several new songs, will be available in July. In the meantime, you can download some of the band's existing material here.

The band had this to say on their MySpace blog about the signing and their upcoming album:

"Thanks to all the fans and people who have supported us. Good things are coming, including a full length CD due hopefully around july. All old EP songs will be on it, as well as a few new songs, plus a video from the video shoot march 31st. The CD will be distributed in FYE, hot topic, itunes, some best buys, as well as a few other online carriers. It is distributed through RISE records and victory records distribution. :)"
